The Young Noble

Leonard Li was chatting with Harold Wei when Alan the waiter brought up several dishes.

Leonard's eyes lit up at the sight of the Spicy Rabbit Head. "Oh? Has your mysterious chef finally arrived?"

Alan grinned and arranged the dishes. "That's right, Mr. Leonard. These are our latest creations—Spicy Rabbit Head, Stir-Fried Chicken Gizzards, Braised Duck Tongue, and Fish Scale Jelly. You're the first to try them!"

Leonard was delighted. He tasted each dish in turn and couldn't stop praising them.

"Impressive! Very unique, and the flavor is excellent!" Leonard set his chopsticks down and suddenly got up to head for the kitchen.

Alan hurried to block him. "Mr. Leonard, please enjoy your meal! You can't just barge into the kitchen!"

But Leonard paid no attention to Alan. These new dishes were exactly to his taste, and for someone as picky as Leonard Li, he was over the moon.

Savory House's mysterious chef had finally shown up—he had to catch her!

Leonard had been running wild in Savory House's kitchen lately and knew the way by heart. He slipped in and, seeing Lily Evans in her apron, paused in surprise. "Miss Lily, it's you?"

Mr. Baker, the manager, saw the Playboy Noble coming again and nearly had a headache. He blocked Leonard at the door. "Mr. Leonard, I've told you before—this chef isn't for sale as your private cook!"

Leonard flashed a cheeky grin at Lily. "Miss Lily, interested in becoming my personal chef? I treat my staff well—gold, jewels, the best food and drink, and if you want, you can use my name to boss people around!"

Lily could tell he was joking by his playful manner. She took off her apron, washed her hands, and replied, "Mr. Leonard, I have no interest in bullying others. If you like my cooking, just come to Savory House more often."

Leonard was about to say more when Lucky burst in, shielding Lily behind him and glaring at Leonard. "What are you doing? Lily is my wife—she's not going to be your private chef!"

Leonard twirled his fan and sized Lucky up with a smile. "No wonder you always strike it rich—your luck really is something else."

Lucky didn't catch the deeper meaning of Leonard's words. He just kept Lily close, ready to kick Leonard out if he came any closer.

Mr. Baker hurried over to smooth things out. "Mr. Leonard, our chef is not for hire. If you want to eat, just come to Savory House. If you cause trouble, I'll have to ask you to leave."

Leonard shrugged and put his fan away. "Fine, I'll come back for your new dishes. But Miss Lily, you really should consider my offer. Being my chef is a golden opportunity!"

Lily smiled and shook her head. "Thanks, but I'm happy right where I am."

Harold Wei, who had been watching from the side, chuckled. "Miss Lily, you're quite popular these days. Even the capital's nobles want to snatch you away."

Lily replied modestly, "I'm just a cook, Mr. Wei. I only hope everyone enjoys their meal."

Lucky took Lily's hand and led her out of the kitchen, glaring at Leonard as if warning him to stay away.

Leonard watched them leave, fanning himself and muttering, "This Lucky guy is really something..."
