Going to the Exam

1/18/2026

Since cultivating martial arts can increase Qi Luck, passing the child-student exam should do the same. Anything that strengthens your destiny will enhance your Qi Luck.

With only three days left until the child-student exam, Ian Song wasn’t anxious at all.

However, after perfecting the Body-Fortifying Art, his appetite had tripled, so the grain that used to last half a year would now only last a little over two months.

Ian had plenty of ways to earn silver, but all that could wait until he passed the child-student exam. Having the status of a child-student would at least keep troublemakers at bay when he started doing business.

"Come here, Yoyo, let me teach you something!"

Ian beckoned to Yoyo Chen, planning to teach her the Body-Fortifying Art—mainly because she was just too skinny, practically like a bundle of firewood.

Yoyo’s talent couldn’t compare to Ian’s, but after a day of careful guidance, she still managed to learn the Body-Fortifying Art. As long as she kept practicing, her health would steadily improve.

The child-student exam was tomorrow, and since it started at five in the morning, Ian had to leave for the county seat that afternoon—otherwise, he’d miss the exam.

While the young couple were eating breakfast, a burly man suddenly barged into their home.

Seeing the burly man, Yoyo Chen instantly broke into a happy smile. "Big brother, you’re here! Have you eaten? If not, I’ll get you some breakfast."
