Gavin White heard that she could participate, which meant she could help Evan Yang, so she immediately said, "I'm going too."
"Can't you all just agree on something?" Tony Tong laughed.
"Listen to me," Evan Yang said, then turned to Gavin White, "Don't worry, I've got this."
"But..." Gavin White was still worried about Evan Yang, while Evan turned to Tong Yue and said with a smile, "Let's do it."
"So it's settled?" Tony Tong laughed. Evan Yang nodded, "Yeah."
Tony Tong called out to the fighters below, "Heavenly Dao experts, stand down. Everyone else, stay here."
In an instant, more than half the people here left. Even so, over thirty remained, many with one foot already in the Heavenly Dao. Tony Tong grinned, "I heard you can handle those half-stepped into the Heavenly Dao, so let's see if you can deal with my elites."
"Oh? You mean I have to beat them?" Evan Yang asked.
"That's right. They can all go at once, but you have to fight alone. Get what that means?" Tong Yue laughed.
"So, a group fight." Evan Yang said. Tony Tong nodded, while the others' faces changed drastically. Brandon White said awkwardly, "Brother Tong, this..."
Harold He added, "Tony Tong, aren't you being a bit too ruthless here?"
"What? Are you feeling sorry for him? Then how am I supposed to test him?" Tony Tong sighed. Just then, Evan Yang smiled and said, "Everyone, I can handle it. Just watch."
"That's more like it. Go ahead—if you can drive them all out of the arena, you win," Tony Tong said. Evan Yang smiled, "Alright."
After Evan Yang finished speaking, he flashed onto the stage. Gavin White was extremely anxious, while Tony Tong addressed the others, "If you lose, you'll spend another month fighting here. That's my rule."
Hearing that they'd have to stay for a month, the crowd went crazy. Usually, one day was torture enough. Now, a month? No one dared to go easy on Evan Yang. Not only did they refuse to hold back, they went all out to defeat him. But knowing Evan Yang was an Immortal Sovereign, they felt a bit more confident.
But Brandon White and the others were worried—this was pouring fuel on the fire. Gavin White said, "Senior Tong, can I join him? It's too dangerous for him alone."
"If you join, I'll add two Heavenly Dao experts to their side. It's your choice!" Tony Tong laughed. Gavin White had to give up; with two extra Heavenly Dao experts, one could restrain her while the other dealt with Evan Yang.
The three Yang Clan elders' hearts were in their throats. This was suicide—so many experts were attacking Evan Yang without restraint.
Yet, under the barrage, Evan Yang made it through several rounds unharmed. Harold He laughed, "Tony Tong, look, he's lasted quite a few rounds already."
"He's got some skill, but this isn't over yet," Tony Tong admitted, clearly intrigued by Evan Yang. After all, the Divine Palace was full of elites—many with one foot in the Heavenly Dao, seeking to advance. Only those with real potential were admitted; anyone lacking was excluded. For Evan Yang, an Immortal Sovereign, to withstand attacks from these elites was already impressive.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang was searching for a way to drive these people out. After several rounds, he realized the only option was to defeat them one by one. Since they weren't linked together, only by breaking them down individually could he weaken the group. So Evan started with the person closest to him.
More than once, Evan slipped behind another opponent, used him as a shield, and after being attacked, grabbed him and sealed part of his abilities, preventing him from using his power. Then Evan tossed him aside, out of the arena.
Seeing the first person thrown out, Brandon White and the others felt relieved. Tony Tong, however, frowned, "How can you all be so clueless? Do you really want to fight for a month?"
His words made the fighters even more cautious, but no matter how careful they were, Evan Yang kept finding opportunities. After the first, there was a second, and soon more and more were tossed aside, unable to get up. At first, people didn't notice, but when they saw the fallen ones unable to rise, they started to worry.
Tony Tong walked over and kicked those lying on the ground, "Do you need me to invite you to stand up?"
"Elder Tong, we can't get up. We don't know what trick he used on us," one of them complained. Tony Tong checked them over and muttered, "Well, this is..."
Harold He saw Tony Tong's expression, crouched down to check as well, and then said suspiciously, "That's the Madman's Binding Technique!"
When Harold He confirmed it, Tony Tong stared at Evan Yang, "Brother White, your son-in-law is really an eye-opener."
"Looks like the results are in," Brandon White said with a smile. There were only a few people left on the field, and Evan Yang quickly tossed them out as well. He walked up and grinned, "All done."
"Good, good!" Tony Tong clapped repeatedly. Harold He and the others knew Tony Tong's temper—this was the first time they'd ever seen him say 'good' twice in a row, which showed just how impressed he was with Evan Yang.
Harold He laughed, "What's your relationship with the Madman?"
"What Madman?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"The people you bound—only that Madman knows this technique," Harold He explained. Evan Yang remembered hearing that the Madman could do this, but he didn't know who the Madman actually was. Judging from everyone's reaction, though, the guy must be a big deal.
Even so, Evan Yang still had no idea who it was. "I learned this binding technique by chance. I don't know who the Madman is," he said.
Hearing this, everyone was envious. Tony Tong laughed, "Then please help me undo it for them."
Evan Yang nodded and went around unbinding each of them. The freed fighters climbed up, grumbling, and Tony Tong announced, "One month, starting tomorrow. No slacking off."
"Ah!" The group cried out in misery—being ordered around hurt more than being beaten. Only after they were sent away did the place quiet down. Tony Tong turned to Evan Yang and the others with a smile, "Come on, since you're here today, I'll treat you to a meal."
Evan Yang was curious about the food here. Harold He asked, "Where are we eating?"
"Of course, we're going to the famous Skyreach Tower in the Heavenly Dao Realm. Are you coming or not?" Tony Tong laughed.
"Hey, when did you get so generous?" Harold He laughed. Tony Tong grinned, "Don't you know my temper? When I meet someone with real potential, I don't care about their strength—I appreciate them. And if I appreciate someone, I treat them to the best."
"Definitely weird," Evan Yang muttered to himself. Just moments ago, Tony Tong was ready to fight, and now he was inviting him to a feast. Judging by everyone's expressions, Skyreach Tower was apparently quite famous.
Tony Tong led everyone to the renowned Skyreach Tower in the Heavenly Dao Realm. At first, they didn't know what kind of place it was, but when they arrived, Evan Yang, Gavin White, and the others were amazed. The tower was incredibly tall, as if it pierced the heavens.
Tony Tong said, "This tower has ten thousand floors. Today, I'll splurge and take you all to the very top floor."
"The top floor? Tony, did I hear that right?" Harold He was stunned—he knew how expensive the top floor was.
"You heard right. What, I'm treating you and you're still complaining?" Tony Tong glared. Everyone laughed and walked inside, where staff greeted them downstairs.
Without hesitation, Tony Tong said, "The top floor."
The attendant immediately called for a manager. The manager smiled at the group, "Today, I'll personally escort you upstairs."
They arrived at a teleportation array, and the manager took out a stone. Once the array activated, everyone was transported to the top floor.
The first thing they noticed was the clouds everywhere—like lying in the mist, or dining on a sea of clouds.
Ten attendants greeted them respectfully and led the group to a huge round table, which could hold many dishes. The manager asked, "What would you like?"
"Bring out the eighteen heavenly dishes and thirty-six earthly dishes from Skyreach Tower," Tony Tong said with a smile. The manager replied, "Right away."
With that, the manager went downstairs, and the attendants served tea and water. It felt less like dining and more like pure enjoyment.
"How is it? Comfortable, right?" Tony Tong laughed.
"You old fox, you never bring us here, and now we're even on the top floor. Who would've thought?" Harold He said.
"Depends on who I'm treating," Tony Tong laughed.
At this, Brandon White smiled, "Thank you, Brother Tong."
"Brother White, no need to be polite. As for your son-in-law, I have only three words: truly outstanding!" Tony Tong praised, making Evan Yang feel a bit embarrassed.
Just as Tony Tong finished speaking, a group entered through the teleportation portal. At their head was a refined young man, followed by a crowd. Among them was a woman, surrounded by attendants, who looked cold and indifferent, as if none of this concerned her.
When the refined young man saw others present, he frowned, "Waiter."
"How can I help you, sir?" a waiter approached. The refined young man said, "Didn't I reserve this place for today? No one else was supposed to be here. Didn't you hear me?"
"We didn't receive any message," the waiter replied.
"No message? Ridiculous. What would count as a message? Are you looking for trouble?" One of the refined man's followers pulled out a wooden stick and began beating the waiter.
The waiter kept insisting, "We truly didn't know."
The refined young man ordered the attacker to stop, then sneered, "Now you know, right? In half a quarter, I want this place quiet. Otherwise, I'll throw you all off the tower."
"Young Master Yue, if someone leaves, that's enough. Why the fuss?" the woman said, sounding a bit annoyed.
