Aftermath

2/14/2026

Evan Lin left the entire stadium with only his back—walking away, cool and unruffled.

The final score froze at eight to six.

The entire second half—especially Evan Lin's last goal—left everyone unable to calm down.

As for Darren Zhao and the others who were smashed by Evan Lin, all they could do was accept the stares coming at them from every direction.

Some eyes were full of pity, others of ridicule.

Ethan Yi stood frozen, fists clenched tight, unable to calm down—his face so dark you could wring water from it.

He had no way to mount any effective defense or attack against Evan Lin's onslaught.

Eight goals in a row!

All in just one half!

And the other side was just one person!

Ethan Yi’s pride in soccer was shattered to pieces by Evan Lin at this moment.

"Ethan!" Yolanda Fang ran down from the stands, quickly hurrying over to Ethan Yi. Seeing his ugly expression, she tried to comfort him: "It’s just one lost game, it’s no big deal."

Yolanda chose her words carefully, afraid of upsetting Ethan Yi in his current state. His gloomy look made her jump.

"You knew all along, didn’t you?" Ethan Yi looked at Yolanda, his voice low.

"What are you talking about? What would I know?" Yolanda was stunned, standing there.

"You knew Evan Lin was insanely good at soccer! You knew it from the start, didn’t you? You were just waiting to see me humiliated!" Ethan Yi glared coldly at Yolanda.

Without another word, Ethan Yi led Class 3’s team straight off the field, leaving Yolanda standing there in a daze.

Meanwhile, Darren Zhao and the other two were rushed to the hospital, while Mr. Zheng stormed into the principal’s office.

"Principal! You have to deal with this Evan Lin! I can’t teach a student like this anymore!" Mr. Zheng burst through the principal’s office door, his face full of fury.

Principal Liu had just hung up a call. Seeing Mr. Zheng approach, he nodded: "I know what you want to say, but the school has to consider its image in all this."

"Huh?" Mr. Zheng froze, not understanding what Principal Liu meant.

Principal Liu also had a class—Class 5, which was Claire Sheng's class.

Every year at the end of term, the classes would compete for average scores. Evan Lin, always at the bottom, would drag down any class he joined—no doubt about it.

"That's right. If you don't want this student, let him transfer to my class." Principal Liu gave Mr. Zheng a meaningful look. "Just now, in the match, your Evan Lin played against all of Class 3 by himself—he scored eight goals in the second half! It was a legendary game!"

Principal Liu looked a little regretful. "Too bad I didn't get to see it myself."

"Evan Lin! Yes, yes! Principal, I want to meet him!" Coach Peter was so excited his Chinese suddenly got way more fluent.

Mr. Zheng was stunned. He'd watched the first half—Class 3 was leading Class 7, six to zero. Did Evan Lin really score eight goals solo in the second half?

A comeback?

Mr. Zheng's face went pale. He knew exactly what this meant. Seeing Coach Peter's excitement, he realized Evan Lin might get recruited straight into the national team!

What did that mean?

It would mean that, in all his years as a teacher, Mr. Zheng had finally produced a true prodigy!

"I'm planning to recommend Evan Lin to Crisbeal FC. A super-genius like him could electrify fans all over the world!"

"He'll become a true legend! Someone like Zidall! Or Ronaldsi! No—an ultimate superstar!" Coach Peter was practically glowing, his foreign face full of excitement.

Crisbeal FC!

Hearing that name, Mr. Zheng felt dizzy, like his whole body was on fire.

That was the kind of team every fan worshipped!

A legendary ace squad, famous as the legend among legends!

"Yeah, what did he do now?!" Mr. Zheng exploded, his face red. "Isn't Evan Lin the one you assigned to my class, Principal? I can't teach this guy! He doesn't deserve to be my student!"

Mr. Zheng was fuming, resentment written all over his face.

Principal Liu nodded slightly. "Alright, then let him transfer to my class."

"Huh?" Mr. Zheng froze, not understanding what Principal Liu meant.

Principal Liu also had a class—Class 5, which was Fang You's class.

Every year at the end of term, the different classes compete on average scores. Evan Lin, always at the bottom, would drag down any class he joined—no doubt about it.
