Deal with Cynthia Winters

Joe Di let out a breath of relief. He didn’t recognize Victor Brooks, but he knew this King Eight was finished. Even if it wasn’t because of Victor Brooks, he was already on a dead end. Joe Di felt no gratitude toward Victor Brooks at all. The man hadn’t come here to save him—he’d come to sever his arm and snatch his ring. When Joe Di regained consciousness, this guy even tried to take his severed hand. It was clear just how ruthless King Eight was.

After climbing a hundred steps up Cultivator's Mount, Joe Di didn’t sense any trace of time laws, nor did he gain anything good. Moreover, being trapped on Cultivator's Mount for this period made him realize some paths here were simply impassable. No matter how much stronger he thought he was compared to other cultivators of his realm, there were places he simply couldn’t go.

Joe Di walked a few steps sideways, then swiftly descended the mountain. He faintly felt Cultivator's Mount was nothing but a trap—and he was done playing this game. Without the Sorgo Fruit, did it really have to be that only on Cultivator's Mount could he find it?

Joe Di’s descent was lightning-fast. At the moment he turned around, he felt a subtle urge—a longing to turn back one more time. If he did, he could step onto the summit of Cultivator's Mount. Reaching the top, he’d have a chance at great longevity and cultivation...

The Cosmic Flame instantly enveloped Joe Di’s entire body, burning away every trace of gray energy lurking within him. With that, he sped down the mountain even faster. He didn’t even want Victor Brooks’s ring or the dagger that had severed his arm. His divine body was so refined that a single swing of that dagger could cut off his hand—showing just how powerful it was. The stronger it was, the less Joe Di dared to take it. Who told him to be weaker?

Victor Brooks managed to climb ninety-five steps, a testament to his extraordinary skill—and he was so young. Could his journey have been that simple? Joe Di sensed that he couldn’t just take whatever he wanted from Cultivator's Mount.

Sherry Jing? Halfway down, Joe Di actually saw Sherry Jing. Just like before, she was sealed at the mountainside, utterly silent and motionless.

Without hesitation, Joe Di dashed over and reached out to lift Sherry Jing. Even if he couldn’t take anything else from Cultivator's Mount, seeing Sherry Jing here meant he couldn’t just pretend she wasn’t there.

Just as he lifted Sherry Jing, a wave of deathly energy swept over them once again.

Having experienced this once before, Joe Di immediately spread the Cosmic Flame across his body. As expected, the deathly energy clung to the Cosmic Flame and vanished in an instant. In the blink of an eye, Joe Di had already carried Sherry Jing to the foot of Cultivator's Mount.

Sherry Jing’s body, originally stiff as stone, softened the moment Joe Di carried her out of Cultivator's Mount. Yet she still showed no sign of life.

Joe Di’s Cosmic Flame seeped into Sherry Jing’s body without hesitation. Sure enough, a streak of gray energy was instantly caught and burned away by the Cosmic Flame. That gray energy had already begun invading Sherry Jing’s blood, but with a single sweep, Joe Di’s Cosmic Flame nearly incinerated it all.

After the Cosmic Flame burned away the gray energy in Sherry Jing’s body, vitality gradually returned—her blood began to flow again. Joe Di breathed a sigh of relief. Now, all that remained was to figure out how to save Sherry Jing.

“Red Tassel Joe.” Just as Joe Di finished purging the deathly gray energy from Sherry Jing, a middle-aged man with gray hair landed in front of him.

Joe Di swept his divine sense over the man—Cauldron Ascendant Stage, sixth layer, a few ranks lower than Joe Di himself.

“What do you want?” Joe Di’s voice was icy. Right now, all he cared about was saving Sherry Jing, and this gray-haired man blocking his way was nothing but trouble.

“I heard Red Tassel Joe obtained many prime ley lines in Ley Line Ravine. There are a lot of people here...”

“Scram.” The gray-haired man hadn’t finished speaking before Joe Di spat out the word, utterly unyielding.

The man’s expression changed. He hadn’t expected Joe Di to be so blunt. Instantly, his aura locked onto Joe Di, murderous intent surging. But before he could summon his artifact, Joe Di’s Azure Veil Blade had already transformed into a streak of blue, slashing through the air.

The wild blade intent locked down the space, and in this moment, only the killing intent of the Azure Veil Blade reigned supreme.
