Pursuing Evan Yang

2/27/2026

That scream lasted for quite a while. Quinn Lynn's expression changed dramatically, while the Lynn Immortal Sovereign's hand kept moving, as if the needle was circulating inside the body. Time passed little by little, and only after three days was the needle finished—though there were still nine more to go.

Thinking about the nine remaining needles, Quinn Lynn felt his heart turn soft. Still, knowing that this power could help him defeat Evan Yang, he endured the pain no matter how much it hurt.

Meanwhile, Evan Yang was rushing toward his destination, but after several days, he still hadn't arrived.

"Just how far is this place, anyway?" Evan Yang muttered to himself.

Evan Yang followed the route given by Sovereign Frost, searching step by step. After several days, he realized he was still a long way from his goal. If the map was a hundred meters long, he hadn't even covered half a meter.

This made Evan Yang even more determined to reach his destination, because he knew his mother needed him.

Elsewhere, in the Devil Realm, the Blood Demon Shade had already appeared. He gathered the power of many Devil Venerables. Although he wasn't considered an Immortal Sovereign, his strength was just below Sovereign level and slightly above Emperor. Besides, he wasn't restricted in the Immortal Realm, since he wasn't a true native of the Devil Realm but an artificial construct.

Under the arrangements of the various Devil Venerables, he infiltrated the Immortal Realm. Outwardly, he looked like an ordinary person, with no trace of devilish aura. Whenever he was alone, his figure would flicker like a ghost, vanishing quickly.

"The Lynn Family? Maybe I can find clues about Evan Yang there." After investigating, the Blood Demon Shade learned of the Lynn Family's connection to Evan Yang, and that the Lynn Family Patriarch had destroyed his own body because of Evan. Now, he just needed to find someone from the Lynn Family. If they had any trace of Evan Yang, he could quickly track him down.

So the Blood Demon Shade searched everywhere for the Lynn Family's whereabouts. But since the Lynn Family was one of the Heaven‑Battling Families, their location was unknown to outsiders, so he naturally couldn't find them.

The other two nodded, and the Lynn Immortal Sovereign and his companions sat down across from them.

After chatting for a while, the Lynn Immortal Sovereign smiled and said, "You probably know why we're here today, right?"

"Yes, it's about Evan Yang," one of them said.

"Can you help me find him?" the Lynn Immortal Sovereign asked.

One of them said, "No." The other two also looked unable to find Evan Yang. The Lynn Immortal Sovereign frowned, "That can't be. Aren't you able to probe people's past and future here?"

"Lynn Immortal Sovereign, you overestimate us. At most, we can only see events up to a year in the past. If we could see more, we'd be breaking rules and would invite disaster," one of them said with an embarrassed smile.

"What about Evan Yang? I just want to know his current location, or where he'll appear tomorrow," the Lynn Immortal Sovereign asked.

"Lynn Immortal Sovereign, for anyone else, we'd do it for free. But for him, we can't," one of them said.

"Why?" the Lynn Immortal Sovereign asked, puzzled.

"Let me put it this way: others have tried to read him, but we found we can't probe his past or predict his future. At most, we can find out where he is right now," one of them explained.

"How is that possible?" the Lynn Immortal Sovereign asked suspiciously.

"We're not omnipotent. There are always some people we can't see through, and if someone has reached Immortal Sovereign level, we can't see their fate either," one of them said with a smile.

The Lynn Immortal Sovereign didn't believe Evan Yang had Immortal Sovereign-level power, but he couldn't understand why they couldn't see through him. After pondering for a while, he said, "Then just tell me his current location."

"We'll try," one of them said. The three Seers then asked the Lynn Immortal Sovereign's group to wait while they went to their usual place for probing.

Inside, the three discussed whether to tell the Lynn Immortal Sovereign. If they didn't, they might be in danger; if they did, Evan Yang might be in danger. The three were troubled.

One of them said, "It depends on Evan Yang's luck. Maybe if we give his location, he'll disappear the next moment."

"That's right. We can't predict Evan Yang's future—only his current state. It does affect things a bit," one said.

The other agreed, and the three began probing. Soon, they found Evan Yang's location and observed for a while before leaving.

When the three returned, the Lynn Immortal Sovereign smiled and asked, "How did it go?"

"I'm afraid it's a bit difficult," one of them said.

"Why?" the Lynn Immortal Sovereign asked, his smile fading as curiosity took over.

"He's always flying, so every moment he's in a different location. But we do know the general area he's in," one of them said.

"I see. Then tell me the region he's in," the Lynn Immortal Sovereign said.

"Belling Star System," one of them said.

"Belling Star System? Why did he go so far? Is he trying to avoid us?" the Lynn Immortal Sovereign muttered.

Upon hearing the name of the star system, Quinn Lynn said, "Ancestor, I'll head out now."

"Go ahead," the Lynn Immortal Sovereign said. With that, Quinn Lynn departed. The three Seers were relieved to see only Quinn Lynn heading out to find Evan Yang.

The Lynn Immortal Sovereign then said to the three, "I'm sending my people over now. It may take some time, so I'll leave for now. If you need to update Evan Yang's location, I'll leave the Lynn Patriarch here—please assist him if needed."

"No problem," the three replied in unison.

Having handed over matters, the Lynn Immortal Sovereign felt at ease. To avoid attracting the Immortal Realm Alliance's attention, he quickly returned there, spoke to the leader, and then went back to his place to cultivate.

Seeing the Lynn Patriarch return, the leader was curious, but since he didn't leave, he was relieved—at least Evan Yang was safer.

After Quinn Lynn left, he used a teleportation array to quickly travel through the star system. About a day later, he arrived at the Belling Star System, and the Lynn Patriarch sent word that Evan Yang had reached the northernmost planet.

Quinn Lynn immediately headed to the northernmost barren planet. As he landed, he saw Evan Yang flying across the sky at top speed.

Quinn Lynn didn't hesitate—he chased after Evan Yang, unleashing earth-attribute arts to block his path.

Evan Yang saw Quinn Lynn approaching and instantly realized he was being intercepted. He frowned, but didn't slow down.

Quinn Lynn summoned stone walls that rose like mountains, forming a barrier in front of Evan Yang.

Evan Yang unleashed a powerful earth spirit, instantly seizing control of the stone walls and redirecting their force back at Quinn Lynn.

Quinn Lynn was shocked, unable to believe Evan Yang could manipulate his earth-attribute arts. He was immobilized, nearly crushed by the redirected force, but stubbornly refused to admit defeat.

Evan Yang didn't waste time—he broke through the barrier and continued flying north.

Quinn Lynn quickly recovered and chased after him, unwilling to let Evan Yang escape.

The two sped across the barren planet, their powers clashing and shaking the land.

Quinn Lynn unleashed a domain barrier, filling it with countless sharp stone walls attacking from all directions.

Evan Yang's earth spirit allowed him to seize control of the domain's power, reversing all the crushing force onto Quinn Lynn.

Quinn Lynn was immobilized, nearly ground to powder, but still too proud to admit defeat.

Seeing Quinn Lynn's stubbornness, Evan Yang shook his head and continued onward, leaving him behind.

Quinn Lynn finally broke free, but by then Evan Yang was already far away. Frustrated, Quinn Lynn could only follow from a distance.

Meanwhile, the Lynn Patriarch kept updating Quinn Lynn on Evan Yang's movements, but each time Quinn Lynn arrived, Evan Yang had already left.

Quinn Lynn grew increasingly frustrated, unable to catch up to Evan Yang no matter how fast he moved.

Evan Yang, meanwhile, kept moving through the Belling Star System, never lingering in one place for long.

Quinn Lynn's pursuit lasted several days, but he never managed to intercept Evan Yang again.

Frustrated and exhausted, Quinn Lynn stopped and sent word back to the Lynn Patriarch.

The Lynn Patriarch relayed this to the Lynn Immortal Sovereign, who frowned and began considering new strategies to capture Evan Yang.

Meanwhile, the three Seers watched the events unfold, secretly relieved that Evan Yang remained safe—for now.

Quinn Lynn, unwilling to give up, vowed to catch Evan Yang no matter what it took.

The Lynn Immortal Sovereign summoned Quinn Lynn and the Lynn Patriarch to discuss their next move.

Together, they began planning how to finally capture Evan Yang.

The chase across the Belling Star System continued, with Evan Yang always one step ahead.

Neither side was willing to give up, and the struggle became a battle of wits and endurance.
