Only kill.
The private room fell silent for a moment.
You could hear a pin drop.
Everyone's eyes were fixed on the young man who had suddenly stood up.
Victor Yu's face was gloomy as he stared at Evan Lin, glancing nervously at the burly man Evan had slapped to the ground.
The burly man who took Evan's slap lay sprawled on the floor, groaning—clearly badly hurt.
"Mind telling me which gang you're with, brother?"
Victor Yu didn't become deputy manager of Imperial Grand KTV just by brute force.
He personally recruited all the security guards at Imperial Grand KTV—each one a vicious character. Victor knew exactly what tricks they had up their sleeves.
That was why he understood just how much power the unimpressive-looking youth had used to send his own man flying with a single slap.
"I'm not with any gang, and I'm not interested in your business. Just one thing—her. Tonight, nobody touches her."
Evan's tone was quiet, his expression unreadable as he looked Victor Yu in the face.
Victor Yu's face flickered with uncertainty, as if weighing his next move.
"Yu, what are you waiting for?! Wreck them! Send that woman to my bed! I'll sign the contract!"
Boss Long shouted, his voice shrill and spittle flying, excitement written all over his fat face.
"If you want to try, go ahead."
Evan shrugged, looking at the men in front of him without a trace of fear.
Lynn Chen stared in shock at Evan's back as he stood in front of her, a strange emotion flickering in her heart.
She felt... protected.
But could he really be her Prince Charming?
As soon as Lynn Chen thought that, she hurriedly shook the idea out of her head.
No way. With Evan Lin's background, how could he ever be worthy of her?
"Sorry, but that's not happening."
Victor Yu made up his mind, raised his hand, and waved: "All together—get him!"
Instantly, the black-clad thugs who had been beating up the others swarmed toward Evan Lin.
Evan licked his lips, bent down, and threw a right punch at the neck of the closest thug, landing squarely on his Adam's apple. As the man instinctively staggered back, Evan followed up with a left punch to his chest, sending him flying.
With that hit, Evan pulled back to his original spot, raised his right hand to block another thug's punch, then darted forward, grabbed the man's collar, and drove his knee into the thug's waist. As the man reflexively jumped from the force, Evan decisively hurled him into another thug charging up.
Straight punch, knee strike, sidestep, fist turns to palm, and a slap sends them flying.
Evan moved like a precision machine—each action dodged the enemy's attacks, seized on tiny openings, and struck back, knocking his opponents to the ground.
It looked just like a scene out of a well-choreographed action movie.
Evan Lin was the star.
In no time, nine black-clad thugs lay sprawled around Evan Lin, who stood at the center of it all.
The only ones still standing were Victor Yu, Boss Long, and Charlie Liang.
Charlie Liang had been busy beating up Jason Zhao, whose face was now swollen like a pig's head from Charlie's punches.
Seeing all his companions down, Charlie Liang slowly stood up, looked at Evan, and cracked his wrists. "Not bad, kid. You remind me a bit of myself back in the day—but this is where it ends for you."
Charlie suddenly stepped back, coiled his right calf, gathered power, and with his right fist at his waist, shot toward Evan like a cannonball.
In a blink, Charlie was right in front of Evan, his right fist aiming straight for Evan's chest.
"Ah!"
Several girls nearby gasped in surprise.
Even Yolanda Fang couldn't help but frown.
Liam Li, who'd been knocked down by Charlie Liang and was now playing dead on the floor, felt his heart skip a beat.
That punch looked vicious—there was no way Evan Lin could dodge it.
"All bark and no bite."
Evan gave Charlie a cool glance as he charged in, bent his right arm, and at the very last instant, drove a sharp elbow straight into Charlie's face.
Still in mid-explosion, Charlie couldn't dodge. His fist, just a centimeter from Evan's chest, was knocked off course by the elbow, and his whole body crashed down at Evan's feet.
"Now, can I take her away?"
Evan didn't even glance at Charlie, who lay sprawled from that elbow strike; instead, he looked straight at Victor Yu by the door.
Victor Yu clenched and unclenched his right fist over and over—Evan had just taken down all his men in a matter of seconds.
He wasn't stupid—even an idiot could see he was no match for Evan Lin.
"Are you really set on meddling in this tonight?"
Victor Yu was frustrated—if Imperial Grand KTV got wrecked by a student, his career as deputy manager would be over.
"Yeah."
Evan nodded without hesitation. "That was just a warm-up. Next, I can't promise I'll hold back."
"I'll give you twenty minutes to call for reinforcements."
"You have nineteen minutes and forty-eight seconds left."
After saying that, Evan slowly sat down on the sofa, grabbed a slice of watermelon, took a bite, and locked eyes with Victor Yu at the door.
"Fine, fine, fine!"
Victor's face was ashen, veins bulging on his forehead as he clenched his fists and repeated himself several times.
"I'll send you home in twenty minutes."
Evan tilted his head and glanced at Lynn Chen, who was still in shock.
Yolanda Fang took the chance to study Evan Lin closely and asked, "Hey, are you from No. 2 High?"

"Hm?"
Evan glanced at Yolanda, then nodded. "Yeah."
Yolanda gave Evan a few more curious glances but didn't say anything else.
Sisi Shao finally calmed down a bit—after seeing Evan's skills, her attitude toward him had shifted.
Lynn Chen steadied her breathing and was about to say something when she saw Jason Zhao, battered and trying to stand but unable to after Charlie Liang's beating.
Lynn got up from her seat, ignored Evan, and ran to help Jason up, worry written all over her face. "Are you okay? I'm sorry, it's all my fault."
Lynn looked apologetically at Jason, but he shook his head. "It's not your fault. I'm fine."
Evan watched Lynn the whole time as she helped Jason up, never once looking at him.
He couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
Looks like, to Lynn Chen, I'll always be that country kid from a small town. But now, I don't need her approval anymore. I'm just me—the old Evan Lin is dead. Now, I'm Evan Nine Mysteries.
Evan glanced at Lynn, his eyes dimming for a moment before a faint, wild smile tugged at his lips.
That smile carried a kind of bold, unruly edge.
Yolanda, who'd been watching Evan closely, caught this tiny change.
Outside, chaotic footsteps echoed in the hallway—sounded like at least thirty people were gathering.
"Kid, you're a real man. If you leave now, tomorrow I'll treat you to drinks myself—let's be friends."
Victor Yu looked at Evan, his gaze flickering.
If he didn't have to, Victor really didn't want to fight Evan.
Victor also had his own motives—if he could bring Evan under his wing, it'd be a huge boost for him.
Everyone was stunned by Victor Yu's words.
Imperial Grand KTV's powerful background was far beyond what any of these high schoolers could comprehend.
As deputy manager, Victor Yu held sway over many circles, and everyone caught the deeper meaning in his words.
He was clearly trying to befriend Evan Lin. If Evan agreed, his name would quickly spread throughout Minghai City and no one in any high school would dare challenge him.
It was a huge opportunity.
Liam Li felt uneasy—if Evan accepted, things wouldn't end well for his group tonight.
"Drinks, sure. Leaving, fine. But you can't touch her."
Evan's tone was resolute—he didn't hesitate for a second.
"Alright."
Victor nodded, stopped talking, and took a step back. "My word stands—if you leave Imperial Grand KTV safely tonight, I'll pretend none of this ever happened."
"But if you can't get out, I want both your hands."
Victor's face hardened with menace as he glared at Evan.
Boss Long, seeing how things were going, grew anxious and stomped hard on Li Ziming's foot.
Li Ziming yelped, clutching his stomach and nearly passing out from the pain.
"If I can't get out, you can have my life."
Evan's words were calm, brimming with supreme confidence.
He glanced at Lynn Chen. She was supporting Jason Zhao, her face pale in the tense atmosphere.
Evan looked at her. "Stand up. Now, go home."
Lynn bit her lip and glared at Evan, hating the look in his eyes.
But she knew now wasn't the time to be stubborn.
She struggled to help Jason Zhao to his feet.
Sisi Shao saw this and quickly stepped up to join Lynn.
Yolanda Fang also walked over, glanced at Evan, and said two words.
"Good luck."
