Divine Roc Blood

1/19/2026

Old Goldwing was flying at incredible speed. He and Shadow both sensed Evan Chu's location, and in no time at all, they crossed the vast distance. When the two of them saw Evan sitting atop the mountain peak, they were so excited they nearly tumbled out of the sky.

Evan Chu had already stopped summoning by the time Old Goldwing and Shadow arrived. The heavy expenditure of soul force left him dizzy and lightheaded, but it was worth it to have found Shadow and Old Goldwing.

Shadow and Old Goldwing instantly shifted into human form and appeared before Evan, their faces showing exaggerated excitement. "Big Brother, we finally get to see you again! I've been waiting for this day for so long, it feels like ages!"

"Boss, you called us in such a hurry—there must be something going on. Did you run into trouble?" Goldwing, the Golden-Winged Roc, managed to calm himself down before asking.

"I'm just as happy to see you guys," Evan said, "but this time I really am facing something I can't solve alone. Your sister-in-law has been hit by a rare and vicious poison, and only Goldwing's blood can save her. But even that's not enough—we still need Roxanne's blood to fully cure her."

"Poisoned? If she's poisoned, you should've called me! I might be able to suck out the toxin—even if I can't guarantee it. Where is she? Hurry and take us to see her!" Shadow said anxiously.

Evan glanced at Shadow and suddenly remembered that Shadow also had detoxification abilities. Maybe he really could remove the poison from Elena. Instantly, Evan felt much more at ease.

Blue-Shade God-Venerable spoke up at that moment: "Evan, are these two your sworn brothers—the Bloodshadow Berserker Lion and the Golden-Winged Roc?"

Hearing Blue-Shade God-Venerable speak, Evan finally snapped out of his excitement. "Old Bro, I was so happy I forgot to introduce you guys! This is Shadow, and that's Old Goldwing—just like you guessed. But now Old Goldwing has already evolved into a Divine Roc, and Shadow isn't far from becoming a Chaos Beast himself!"

Blue-Shade God-Venerable was inwardly shocked. He hadn’t expected that legendary divine beasts really existed in this world—and that they were Evan’s sworn brothers, no less! The world truly was full of wonders. Other than calling Evan lucky, he honestly didn’t know what else to say.

"Goldwing, Shadow, this is Blue-Shade God-Venerable—a top-tier powerhouse of the God Realm, and also my big brother. From now on, you can call him Big Brother too. We were close friends even before reincarnation." Evan introduced Blue-Shade to Goldwing and Shadow.

"Greetings, Big Brother Blue-Shade!" the two said in unison. A God-Venerable is one of the most powerful beings in the God Realm; Goldwing and Shadow were genuinely surprised that Evan could be sworn brothers with someone like that.

"Alright, let's head inside the Timewheel Bracelet. Elena's in there alone right now, and I don't know how she's doing." Evan said.

With a thought, Evan brought Blue-Shade God-Venerable, Shadow, and Old Goldwing inside. They quickly arrived before Elena Rainveil, who at that moment wore a look of pain on her face.

"Elena, I've brought Old Goldwing back. He's the Divine Roc—hold on a little longer and I'll have him save you!" Evan said, full of concern.

"Boss, how do I save Sister-in-law? Should I just bleed and feed her directly?" Goldwing asked at once.

"That's right, but you'd better take your true form—the blood will be purer that way. There's no time to lose, let's start now!" Evan urged, feeling a stab of pain at Elena's suffering.

Goldwing instantly erupted in golden light, and a giant golden bird appeared before the four of them. "Boss, give me a good slash!" Goldwing called out.

Evan drew the Frostbane Divine Sword and, without the slightest hesitation, slashed hard across Goldwing's wing. The blow was fierce, instantly opening a massive gash from which bright red blood poured out nonstop.

Goldwing then shrank his body and flew above Elena Rainveil's head. "Sister-in-law, open your mouth! Sorry to trouble you!"

Elena opened her mouth, and the blood from Old Goldwing's wing kept dripping down, instantly soaking her from head to toe and turning her into a blood-drenched figure. The primal, ancient aura of the blood spread through the air.

"That's enough, Goldwing! Change back to human form and let me heal you!" Evan called out immediately.

Goldwing promptly shifted back into human form and stood before Evan, a deep, bone-revealing gash still bleeding on his arm. Evan focused and sent a surge of powerful wood-element energy into Goldwing's arm.

As the wood element entered, it stopped the bleeding in just a few breaths, then the wound began healing at a rate visible to the naked eye. The phenomenon was so miraculous that both Elena and Blue-Shade God-Venerable were stunned—even the best healing pills in the God Realm couldn't match such speed.

After about half a stick of incense, Evan stopped channeling power; Goldwing's arm was fully healed and moved as freely as before. "Thanks, Boss! Your wood element is getting stronger and stronger!"

"Goldwing, what are you talking about? You got hurt to save Elena—if anyone should be thanking someone, it's me thanking you! But between brothers, saying thanks is too formal. I just hope your blood can ease Elena's pain." Evan said, then turned to look at Elena.

Elena Rainveil was now drenched in blood, but her complexion looked much better. The dark energy between her brows had faded significantly. Now, all that was left was Roxanne Lin's blood to completely cure her.

"Thank you, Evan—and all of you. With Goldwing's blood, I've got another ten days of life. I know what you're worried about, but sometimes things can't be forced. Whether we find Roxanne or not, it's up to fate." Elena managed a faint smile.

"Don't worry, Elena. I swear I'll save you. You're covered in blood—let me help you clean up. Goldwing, you guys step outside for a bit!" Evan said.

Although Elena's wounds weren't fully healed yet, at least the necrotic flesh had vanished. Still, the sight was unsettling. Evan prepared to wash her body and help her change into clean clothes, so she could look the part of a sect leader again.

"Alright, let's wash up under the waterfall. I'm really not used to being this dirty," Elena said after thinking it over.

Evan smiled and said, "No need—I'll do it right here. Don't forget, I've trained in the Ninefold Stellar Transformation. I can use the Water Transformation. Just wait a moment."

With a thought, Evan conjured a ball of flame in one palm and a sphere of water in the other. Merging them, he adjusted the temperature until it was just right, then let the water pour gently over Elena's head in a steady, magical stream.

Elena could now move her body again, though she still couldn't channel her divine power—her divine infant was still withered, but she was much more spirited than before. Without hesitation, she undressed in front of Evan and began to wash herself.
