No Son-in-law More Satisfactory Than the Divine Lord
The Qilin Empress Dowager said, "You all know, during my time recuperating at the Spirit Alliance, I grew extremely close to her. I really adore this child! And, I’ll admit, I have my own selfish reasons."
She looked earnestly at the couple. "I hope Lucia can stay by my side forever—and Soren’s side too—as Soren’s Divine Queen!"
The couple, Vivian Lu and Quentin Lian, exchanged a glance and rose to salute her. "Empress Dowager, you honor Lucia far too much!"
"Of course, this idea comes from Soren himself. No one knows better than his own mother just how much he likes his senior-sister."
Honestly, he’s always had big ambitions. But ever since he met your little girl, he’s been perfectly happy to trail after her like a little sidekick—for centuries!
Even after he ascended to Divine Lord and took charge of the Radiant Palace, he still thought about her every day. If someone sent over a tribute fruit, he’d go out of his way to deliver it to the Spirit Alliance for his senior-sister!
High Goddess Vivian Lu said, "To be honest, we treat all four of our children the same. As long as they truly love each other, whether the partner is just a minor immortal or a Divine Lord, we have no objections."
Quentin Lian added, "Especially for our daughters. Girls of the Lumina Realm can’t take on multiple husbands like those in Cangwu. Once they marry, it’s for life. If there’s no love between them, they’ll be miserable forever. So as parents, we’d never force them to marry someone they don’t like."
Seeing the Qilin Empress Dowager looking a little embarrassed, Vivian Lu continued, "Of course, if she could marry the Divine Lord—if senior-sister and junior-brother became husband and wife, growing up together and knowing each other inside out—we’d be thrilled! Honestly, there’s no son-in-law we’d be happier with than the Divine Lord!"
The Qilin Empress Dowager took a deep breath. "Alright! Then let’s leave it to Soren’s own efforts! We elders can meddle all we want, but in the end, it’s up to them!"
Vivian Lu and Quentin Lian both saluted with perfect composure, expressing their thanks.

Lucia Lu was so bored she nearly dozed off. She glanced over at Soren Lann, who was still buried in paperwork, and finally couldn’t help but complain, "Divine Lord! You called me here just to leave me hanging for half an hour! Doesn’t your conscience hurt?"
Soren looked up at her, finally rose, and walked over. "Senior-sister, I just wanted you to keep me company!"
"Tsk tsk!" Lucia snorted. "So, now that you’re Divine Lord, you’re lonely and pitiful?"
"Exactly!" Soren said. "I really wish I could go back to the old days!"
"Hey!" Lucia glanced around his room. "Your palace really is deserted. This huge Radiant Palace, and it’s just you and your mother—plus a few Divine Attendants!"
"Isn’t it?" Soren looked genuinely aggrieved. "If I could, I wouldn’t want to be Divine Lord at all. I’d rather join you guys as a Divine Guard!"
"Oh, please!" Lucia said. "You’ve got it all wrong!"
"How am I wrong?"
"What you need to do is hurry up and marry a Divine Queen!" Lucia grinned. "With a beautiful wife by your side, you’ll never be lonely again!"
Soren stared at her for a long moment, then tapped her on the forehead.
"I’m serious!" Lucia insisted. "You’re not getting any younger! How old are you now, anyway? Four thousand, five thousand? It’s high time you got married and had kids!"
She got more and more excited: "Hey! I’ve even picked out someone for you! Joanna Xi—do you remember her? I’ve been watching her these days, and she’s perfect for you! Gorgeous, gentle, super smart, and totally rational! Want me to—"
"No need!" Soren cut her off flatly. "I’m not close with her."
