Battle Between Two Sides

Trevor Tao glanced at Miles Mu and laughed, "Even at a time like this, you still want to compete with me?"

"This is a rare opportunity—how could I not fight for it?" Miles Mu replied, grinning.

"Alright, I'll go then, okay?" Trevor Tao laughed, then led his men away. As Trevor walked off, Miles Mu felt weird—normally Trevor would always argue with him, but today he was unexpectedly generous.

Miles Mu had no clue what Trevor was thinking. Meanwhile, Trevor was secretly amused, "Calling you dumb isn't wrong at all. Those two causing chaos at Golden Heaven Temple definitely have something to do with the artifact thief. That thief is crazy strong. Instead of chasing him head-on, I'll catch those two first and make the thief surrender. In the end, I'll win anyway."

Evan Yang saw only one group heading out and wasn't worried. With Elena Dreamer, the Divine Sharpshooter, and Ember Yang, now fully grown, they could handle it. Besides, half the enemy's strength was gone in an instant.

Once Trevor Tao and his group walked far off, Evan Yang came down the mountain carrying firewood, deliberately dropping the logs all over the ground outside the artifact tower where the guards waited. He sat down and sighed, "Man, I'm exhausted. So tired."

"Hey, old geezer, get lost! Don't get in our way," one guard snapped.

Evan Yang grumbled, "Come on, brothers, just let me rest a bit. I'll leave soon."

"Rest? This isn't a place just anyone can hang around. Move it, move it!" the guard barked. Evan Yang just muttered, "Let me rest, let me rest."

All the commotion caught Miles Mu's attention. He snapped back to reality and asked, "What's going on here?"
