Secrets of the God Realm

Blue-Shade God-Venerable looked at Evan Chu's expression and laughed, "Brother, this is a great thing! Why are you making such a sour face? If you could become the son-in-law of Rainbow Court Mistress Rainveil, your status would skyrocket—who knows by how many times! This is something countless people dream of. I really have high hopes for you!"

"Brother, was this your idea? I really have no interest in joining some Marriage Tournament. With my current strength, it’d be like an egg hitting a stone—I’m not about to do something so foolish. Besides, looking like I do now, Rainbow Court’s Second Young Lady might not even spare me a glance." Evan Chu said helplessly.

He’d somehow been arranged to meet her out of the blue—wasn’t this all happening way too fast? Even for a Marriage Tournament, this wasn’t how it was supposed to work. This was straight up pulling strings and sneaking in through the back door.

"You should count your blessings, kid! This is the kind of opportunity you couldn’t find even with a lantern. Your wedding wine—your big brother is definitely going to drink it! Want me to send you a congratulatory gift in advance?" Blue-Shade God-Venerable joked.

Evan Chu didn’t want to say any more—the more he explained, the messier it got. So he simply raised his cup and drained it in one go. The room instantly fell silent.

Not long after, Rainbow Court Mistress Rainveil appeared before Evan Chu, accompanied by a beautiful young woman in purple. The moment Evan saw her, his heart skipped a beat—she was the same graceful girl who’d once invited him to share Immortal Porridge, elegant and refined, leaving a deep impression on him.

He’d never dreamed she was actually Rainbow Court Mistress Rainveil’s second daughter. If she was the one, maybe he’d really consider this Marriage Tournament after all. His strength was weak, but if Rainveil truly wanted it, she’d arrange everything herself.

"Lin Feng, this is my daughter Zoe. What do you think? Did your heart skip a beat at first sight?" Rainbow Court Mistress Rainveil suddenly asked, so directly that Evan Chu was momentarily at a loss for words.

"Miss Zoe is a goddess in every young lady’s eyes, but I’m ugly and weak—I’m not worthy of her at all. I’m afraid I’ll only let you down, Mistress Rainveil." Evan Chu replied seriously.

"You flatter me, Lin Feng. If my mother thinks highly of you, you must be truly exceptional. Rainbow Court may be one of the Ten Great Powers, but we face plenty of difficulties. If you could help us overcome them, I would be deeply grateful—and as for looks, why worry about that?" Zoe Rainveil’s voice rang out, clear as a silver bell.

Evan Chu studied Zoe Rainveil carefully. Today, she wasn’t wearing a veil—her whole face was revealed. Those bright, watery eyes and flawless, delicate features made it hard to look away.

But Evan Chu had seen plenty of beauties before. He quickly looked away. "Miss Zoe, you’re too kind. There’s no way I could help Rainbow Court resolve its crisis—I know my own limits. Just being able to see your grace today is enough for me; I wouldn’t dare ask for anything more."

"Rainveil, don’t listen to him! This kid is actually quite handsome—he’s just in disguise right now. Once he removes it, you’ll see. As for talent, there’s barely anyone in the God Realm’s younger generation who can match him. And even if his cultivation is weak, he went from God-Man to mid-stage God-Lord in just ten years. That speed is unheard of!

If you miss out on a son-in-law like this, you’ll have a hard time finding another! I hope you’ll think it over and not listen to his nonsense." Blue-Shade God-Venerable chimed in.

"How did I forget about his disguise? Lin Feng, hurry up and remove it so we can see! I’m sure you won’t mind, right? I truly want to marry Zoe to you—if you agree, Rainbow Court can finally resolve its crisis." Mistress Rainveil said sincerely.

Evan Chu felt a bit awkward, but seeing Blue-Shade God-Venerable’s encouraging look, he could only nod. He turned away, used Watershift to conjure moisture on his palm, and gently wiped away the disguise, revealing his true face.

Of course, this was still the face he’d had when he first ascended to the God Realm; beneath it was a human-skin mask. If he removed that, he’d show his Immortal Realm appearance—something that might truly shock Blue-Shade and the others. Evan wasn’t about to take that risk without knowing more.

"I never thought you could use water element so casually, little brother! You’ve really opened my eyes. Seeing you conjure water on your palm reminds me of an old acquaintance—I haven’t seen him in countless ages. He might have already fallen." Blue-Shade God-Venerable sighed.

"Blue-Shade, what are you getting at? Which old acquaintance are you thinking of?" Mistress Rainveil asked in confusion.

"I’m thinking of the Ninefold Divine Sovereign. His Ninefold Stellar Transformation was unmatched in the world. Back then, he never fully mastered the ninth turn—otherwise, the War of the Gods wouldn’t have been so tragic. Looking at Lin Feng now, his Ninefold divine art feels so similar. Lin Feng can go invisible, and even conjure water on his palm." Blue-Shade God-Venerable said.

Evan Chu was inwardly shocked. He hadn’t expected Blue-Shade God-Venerable to leap from a bit of moisture on his palm straight to the Ninefold Divine Sovereign. He’d have to come up with a good explanation, or he’d risk exposing himself.

He remembered that Ninefold Stellar Transformation was given to him by Yvonne Xuan, and that it was supposedly Solarion Palace’s signature art. But no one there actually practiced it, which he’d always found strange. Was Yvonne lying to him, or did she have some hidden reason? He’d have to ask her after she ascended to the God Realm.

Mistress Rainveil seemed to realize something too. "Lin Feng, have you cultivated the Ninefold Divine Art? It’s one of the God Realm’s top techniques, but not everyone can practice it. It takes great fortune and complete mastery of the elements.

At the auction, you were determined to get those elemental crystals—looks like our guess was right. But don’t worry, since we’re sitting together here as friends, we’ll help you keep any secrets. We just hope you’ll tell the truth, because this is really important."

"I don’t even know if it’s the true Ninefold Divine Art—I only know my technique is called Ninefold Stellar Transformation, and I’ve only trained its early stages. Progress stalled because elemental crystals are so hard to get. I came to Rainbow City mainly for those crystals, not for Miss Zoe’s Marriage Tournament—I know my own limits." Evan Chu explained.

Blue-Shade God-Venerable and Mistress Rainveil both paused in surprise. "Ninefold Stellar Transformation—I’ve never heard of it before, but it’s clearly related to the Ninefold Divine Art. Maybe it’s just a different name. Where did you get it?" Blue-Shade God-Venerable asked…
