Someone Has Arrived

"Sister Hong!"

"Sister Hong!"

Sunny Zhou's lackeys bowed their heads respectfully when they saw who had arrived.

Sister Hong scanned the room, and when she saw more than a dozen men groaning on the floor, her expression shifted slightly.

Next, her gaze landed right back on Evan Lin.

"Friend, I don't know what SK Bar did to offend you. If we've been less than welcoming, let me apologize first." Sister Hong looked at Evan Lin, a flash of anger in her eyes. "But if you're just here to wreck the place, don't blame me for getting nasty!"

Her tone carried a clear warning as she spoke.

Big Tank hurried forward when he saw her. "Sister Hong, this guy was sent by Victor Yu to watch the bar with me. He's not an outsider."

"Sent by Victor Yu?" Sister Hong's eyes flickered. Hearing Big Tank's explanation, she glanced at Sunny Zhou and the battered men nearby, instantly grasping the situation.

SK Bar was Sister Hong's business, always managed by Imperial Grand—Big Tank handled things. Later, for reasons she couldn't refuse, Sunny Zhou was brought in.

Sunny Zhou beat Big Tank into submission. Outwardly, the bar looked split between them, but in reality, Sunny Zhou had taken over.

Big Tank's authority was hollow. Now, here came Evan Nine Mysteries Lin...

"Looks like Victor Yu couldn't sit still and sent someone to take back the bar."

Sister Hong weighed her options. She knew exactly what kind of person Sunny Zhou was, and now that things had blown up, it was clearly because Sunny started it.

But seeing that skinny Evan Nine Mysteries Lin could single-handedly flatten so many of Sunny Zhou's lackeys left Sister Hong genuinely shocked.

Sister Hong took a deep breath, softened her voice, and looked at Evan Lin. "Since you're one of us, friend, why don't you put Sunny Zhou down first?"

"SK Bar is open for business. If things get out of hand, it'll hurt our profits." Sister Hong tried to steady Evan Lin, worried he'd let go and toss Sunny Zhou off the second floor.

From this height, Sunny Zhou would end up in the hospital for a while, no matter what.

"This has nothing to do with you," Evan Lin said slowly. His words made Sister Hong's brow twitch. "What do you mean, nothing to do with me? This bar is mine. You're all just here to watch it for me."

"If you want to fight, take it outside. Don't mess up my bar!"

Sister Hong's tone turned serious, with no intention of backing down.

"You'd better put Sunny Zhou down. Whatever the issue is, we can talk it out. Besides, even Victor Yu from Imperial Grand would have to show me, Sister Hong, some respect."

"As long as you put Sunny Zhou down right now, I promise I won't tell Victor Yu about this." Sister Hong pulled out Victor Yu's name, convinced this kid wouldn't dare act wild.

Inside Imperial Grand, the hierarchy is strict—Victor Yu sits right near the top.

You could say, apart from the rarely-seen Damon Wang, Victor Yu is the highest authority in Imperial Grand.

"Victor Yu?" Evan Lin tilted his head, calmly staring at Sister Hong.

"That's right. If you don't believe me, I can call him right now!" Sister Hong said, pulling out her phone. "If I dial this number, he'll know exactly what you're up to."

"If he finds out you trashed my bar, do you really think you could keep mixing in Imperial Grand? I know you're smart, and smart people know when to quit."

Sister Hong was utterly confident.

Evan Lin nodded. "Got it. What you say... does kind of make sense."

"Exactly. So just put Sunny Zhou down. If he pissed you off, I think he's already learned his lesson." Sister Hong finally relaxed a little—so long as things could still be fixed.

"But you got one thing wrong."

Evan suddenly switched gears, glancing at his left hand gripping Sunny Zhou, his voice icy.

"What did I get wrong?" Sister Hong blinked, not catching Evan's meaning.

But before Sister Hong could react, her eyes went wide—she watched Evan just let go.

Sunny Zhou, who'd been dangling outside the second-floor railing, dropped straight toward the first floor.

Bang!

In less than a second, there was a crash of tables and chairs, mixed with the startled screams of just-arrived customers.

"How dare you!" Sister Hong stared at Evan in disbelief, rage blazing in her eyes.

"Why wouldn't I dare?" Evan pulled his hand back, not even glancing at the wrecked tables or the Sunny Zhou lying there.
