Blood must be paid with blood!
The bloodthirsty words reignited the entire arena!
Standing atop the ring, Master Lin basked in countless worshipful gazes from all sides. He seemed like a god, his whole body crackling with force, sleeves billowing, radiating pure dominance!
Blood must be paid with blood!
Leon Lu listened, glancing at Evan Lin sitting nearby, wanting to say something—then checking if Evan was awed by Master Lin’s current aura.
That kid they call the Teenage King of the Ring.
Master Lin’s voice boomed again, thunder rolling as he stood with his hands behind his back. His sharp, hawk-like gaze swept across the stands: “Since you’re here, why don’t you crawl out and face me!”
Come on, crawl out!
He shouted.
Immediately, everyone looked around, trying to spot the Teenage King of the Ring!
When are you going home?
Evan Lin glanced up at Master Lin standing above the ring and asked softly.
I... probably won’t be going back anytime soon.
Molly Su replied quietly to Evan. She’d just been wondering who the Teenage King of the Ring really was, but no matter how she looked around, nobody stood up.
But the feverish atmosphere around her didn’t affect Molly. She just felt that as long as she stayed beside Evan, she’d always feel safe.
If she could choose, Molly actually wanted to go see a movie with Evan, have him hold the popcorn, and while sitting in the glowing darkness in front of the big screen, sneak her hand into his lap for a big handful of popcorn and steal one to eat.
That would probably be a really happy and joyful thing.
But maybe she was getting a bit ahead of herself.
Still, sitting here and watching a boxing match that might get a bit bloody and violent later... wasn’t so bad either.
That’s what Molly was thinking, her voice gentle but tinged with an unspeakable nervousness.
Take care of yourself.
Evan nodded.
Inside the lighting booth.
Ray Lei shoved open the door and strode forward, pushing aside the staff at the lighting controls. He lowered his head, peering through the darkness at the section of seats he’d been targeting all night.
Just wait to die!
Ray Lei grinned, eyes filled with madness.
He could practically picture that kid dying miserably at Master Lin’s hands.
After all these days, Ray Lei was finally going to reclaim the face he’d lost to Master Lin from Seacrest!
You ruined my plans—tonight you’ll pay for it in blood!
Ray Lei was completely crazed.
Gloria Rong, Leon Lu, Barry Shen and their crew had all stood up, scanning the arena.
Who exactly is the Teenage King of the Ring? Why hasn’t he shown up yet?
Leon Lu was visibly excited, almost impatient: “He isn’t scared off already, is he? If he really ran, I’d probably look down on him!”
A real tough guy, when facing a powerful enemy, should give it his all—even if he knows he’s outmatched!
Leon clenched his fist, and the whole group was brimming with anticipation.
Gloria’s expression kept shifting in the darkness. She took out her phone and glanced at it.
Just as Ray Lei left for the lighting booth, she’d already texted Evan, telling him to leave the arena ASAP.
Gloria’s gut told her that the so-called Teenage King of the Ring was actually Evan Lin!
That was Gloria’s guess.
And when Ray Lei left, the look he gave Gloria only reinforced her suspicion.
But that damn guy didn’t respond at all!
Her text was like a stone sinking into the sea—no reply, nothing!
Is he not afraid of dying?
Gloria wished she could grab Evan and yell at him. He knew Master Lin from Seacrest was waiting for him here, and he still dared to come?
Knows there’s a tiger on the mountain, but still walks right in?
Gloria’s face was grim as she clenched her phone tight.
Are you trying to die?
Logan Rowe’s face kept changing: “I’m freaking talking to you!”
He felt utterly ignored, and Evan’s casual chat with Molly Su right in front of him had pushed him over the edge.
Logan clenched his fists, shaking with anger: “Believe it or not, I can have Master Lin from Seacrest come out and beat you to death right now!”
Beat you to death!
Logan Rowe spat the words through clenched teeth.
Molly Su sighed. She didn’t bother stopping Logan; even if she tried, it wouldn’t work.
Most importantly, Molly wasn’t really worried about Evan’s safety.
Because she knew he was strong.
Before you call him out to kill me...
Evan turned his head and slowly stood up.
Logan froze, and the group behind Evan—the ones who’d been trading insults and practically spitting at him—were all stunned.
What, you really dare to step onto the ring? someone sneered.
Trying to get yourself killed? Or just lost your mind? another guy raised his eyebrow.
Damn, what kind of people are showing up tonight—first the Teenage King of the Ring kills Master Lin’s disciple, then someone else shows up, totally fearless, and now you, acting like some novel protagonist with a main character aura?
A chubby guy sprawled across his seat spoke with pure disdain.
And then—
Swish!
A dazzling white beam pierced the darkness from above.
The darkness around the youth vanished completely.
He was bathed in the sudden, intense spotlight.
The people behind him squinted instinctively as the harsh light hit them.
Molly Su, sitting closest, looked up and blinked her beautiful eyes at the now-standing youth. A flash of surprise crossed her face, making her look even more radiant.
But soon, the surprise melted into a gentle, curved-eye smile.
Master Lin always manages to surprise people.
Is he really the Teenage King of the Ring?
Molly Su thought back to the day Evan appeared at the Su family, blocking the forced marriage arranged by the Lin clan from Jinnan, backed by the Southriver Sword Sect.
He’d shown up just as suddenly then.
Always at the perfect moment.
Everything just felt right.
You... you... you?
Logan Rowe reached out to shield his eyes from the glare, heart pounding, staring at Evan with a mix of shock and awe.
Are you the Teenage King of the Ring?
Logan blurted out in terror.
His words sent the whole crowd into an uproar.
All eyes locked onto Evan.
Evan didn’t answer.
Under the harsh spotlight, the youth’s dark eyes slowly flushed with a molten, lava-red glow.
