She Is My Sister

This is the first time she's ever been in a situation like this.

Grace instantly felt a little nervous.

Just as she feared, Byron White suddenly called out, "Grace, come here!"

There was a desk behind the Manor Alchemy Room, and Byron was now sitting there.

Grace kept her hidden weapon ready in her hand as she walked over.

"Take a look at this!" He pushed a yellowed, incomplete sheet of paper across the desk to Grace.

So this was the ancient formula for the Soul Restoration Pill.

There were some missing parts, not much, and judging by the size of the text, it looked like two or three ingredients were supposed to be listed there.

"I've already tried over thirty different ingredients for the missing parts, but none of them worked!" Byron said. "See if you have any ideas?"

Sensing that Byron didn't have any murderous intent, Grace relaxed a little and put her hidden weapon away. She picked up the ancient formula and studied it carefully.

"Well?" Byron asked.

"It's really hard to guess the missing ingredients," Grace replied. "Could I copy it down and think it over later?"

"Come over here!" Byron stood up and let Grace sit in his spot to copy.

"I couldn't possibly!" Grace said quickly. "I'll just copy it from over there."

"The ancient paper is fragile. It's best not to move it around. Just sit here and copy."

Grace couldn't argue anymore, so she sat down and started copying.

Halfway through, a voice suddenly appeared beside her: "Are you getting used to living here?"

Grace jumped in surprise, only then realizing Byron was standing right next to her.

"I'm used to it! Very used to it! Thank you for asking, President!" Grace replied.

"If there's anything you're not happy with—food, accommodations—just let me know," Byron added.

Grace was moved and asked, "President, there's something I'd like to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Every meal, I get extra dishes that no one else gets," Grace said. "And my room is way more luxurious than everyone else's. President, do you know why that is?"

"I ordered it," Byron replied without hesitation.

Grace: "...Why?"

"Aren't you Shan's friend?" Byron said. "You came to Sigil City and I didn't even invite you to the palace. That's pretty rude! So this little bit of special treatment is my way of making up for it."

Grace hadn't expected that. "President, you know Shan?"

"She's my sister. How could I not know?" Byron said with a smile.

Grace: "..."

He really is her brother...

Bianca Whiteshire and Bianca Whitefan really are princesses of the Eastern Luo Empire...

"She came back just for you and asked me to cancel the rule that only Spirit Alchemists below Level Eight could attend. She even reminded me a thousand times to take good care of you!"

Grace: "So that's how it is..."

"So, now that you're in the Eastern Alliance, treat it like your own turf. Just think of me as your big brother!"

Grace blinked her eyes.

Was she just overthinking things?

Byron noticed her thoughtful look and smiled, "The classes are all for Level Eight and below, so someone suggested that rule. It wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, so don't overthink it!"

Grace: "Heh..."

...

That night, when she got back, Grace took Cutie Pie out from her storage space and asked, "Cutie Pie, Xiao Yan said Leon Zane and Shan will be staying here for a while. They shouldn't have gone back to Yan Capital yet. Can you go out and help me find where they are? I want to find a chance to meet them."

Cutie Pie nodded, jumped off her lap, and left.
