Stellar Battlefield

But most Void Beasts are extremely dangerous—furious, cruel, and will tear apart any living creature they see. If you encounter such an entity, remember: escape to your semi-plane immediately, then shatter the plane coordinate you left behind.

Your Natural Semi-Plane has developed enough to bear a fixed coordinate, but shattering the coordinate left behind is still risky. After doing this once, you won't be able to establish another fixed coordinate for a long time.

It might even affect your control over the Natural Semi-Plane. Unless you're utterly lost, only do this when you've confirmed it's safe. Never enter your semi-plane during combat.

Any creature you meet here might have the power to destroy the spatial coordinate you left behind. If your coordinate is shattered by the enemy, spatial turbulence will render your fixed coordinate useless.

Moreover, there are powerful Void Beasts adept in spatial laws who can use the coordinate to directly enter your Natural Semi-Plane."

Agalon had explained much of this—Lin Yun knew most of it already, but never in such detail. The Endless Void was fraught with danger; sometimes, overlooking a tiny detail could cost you your life.

Only extraordinary beings are qualified to step into the Endless Void, and even then, it's just a technicality. For low-level Heaven-rank mages, entering the Endless Void is no different from courting death.

The ironclad warship glided silently through the starry sky, following a predetermined route rather than a straight line. Standing inside, Lin Yun sensed over twenty hidden dangers lurking in the void.

These were perilous astral currents—unseen, destructive energies tangled together like whirlpools in the sea. If swallowed up and unable to escape, the only outcome is to be ripped apart and become part of the starry current itself.

If you think you can travel through the Endless Void in a straight line, unimpeded, you're basically committing suicide.

Several more hours passed before a barren, crimson planet appeared ahead. Its surface was riddled with craters—all scars left by falling meteors.

"This is a place on the edge of the Stellar Battlefield where you can rest for a bit. There's no air, no magic, no life—just a massive meteorite. But at least it has gravity, and resting here is much safer than staying in the Endless Void.

Even the largest Void Beasts wouldn't be interested in a meteorite this size. Aside from iron, there's nothing valuable here.

Lin Yun stayed silent. For a long time, he'd thought the Northend World was just another planet in the universe. But after reading through the desolate library, he realized things weren't so simple.

Every plane capable of nurturing life has its own unique spatial barrier. They're not planets in the conventional sense. At least in the Endless Void, every planet encountered is barren—some may hold rare resources, but none will ever birth life or have spatial barriers.

When the Northend World appeared in the Endless Void, all you saw was endless emptiness—no trace of the Northend World itself. This vast, unknown void is a forbidden zone for life. The only natives are those terrifying Void Beasts, and every one of them is an extraordinary being.

The monotonous journey through the silent void was like sailing across the ocean, where the scenery never changes. Those barren planets are like tiny, isolated islands in a boundless sea—far too few and far between.

Along the way, they encountered meteor streams containing special substances. Agalon collected many of these, extracting materials not found in the Northend World.

After more than ten days of travel, chaos erupted ahead in the starry sky. The lingering traces of battle were clear, and turbulent energies had formed storms that rampaged through the void. At least a million kilometers away, a vortex-like storm glittered with starlight, swallowing up any nearby meteors and tearing them to shreds.

These chaotic energy storms—at least three visible to the naked eye—held enough power to effortlessly devour and shred Lin Yun. But from a distance, they were nothing more than dazzling spectacles.

"We're already in the Stellar Battlefield. That energy storm, over a hundred kilometers away, has existed for thousands of years. Once, beings beyond Heaven-rank fought here, and the aftermath of their battle formed three violent energy vortices. The vortices influence each other, so they've remained here, unchanged.

Once you enter, the danger level spikes. The battlefield may seem quiet lately, but that just means the odds of Void Beasts appearing are much higher...

The starting point for exploration is that planet. There's a supply station and a beacon there."

Agalon pointed toward the endless void ahead, his tone growing somber.

Ahead, three energy vortices swirled—two like converging starlight, and one resembling a vortex of burning flames, though no actual fire could be seen.

The three vortices tugged at one another, holding their position. Not far away, a massive, misshapen planet loomed, its surface a barren yellow, devoid of any features. The widest part of its diameter might exceed a hundred thousand kilometers.

The ironclad warship drifted silently toward the massive planet, sending out a signal to contact any possible inhabitants on the desolate world.

But after ten minutes, there was still no response. Agalon's expression grew even more grim.

"There's been no war in this region lately, and it's part of our Northend World's territory. If there's no response after ten minutes, something must have happened."

With no reply, Agalon decisively abandoned the landing. The ironclad warship halted its advance, immediately slowing down to move away from the potato-shaped planet.

Just as the warship began to decelerate, a beast's head—at least a thousand meters tall—appeared on the far side of the misshapen planet. It looked like a massive lizard, and as soon as its head emerged, the creature soared into the void.

Its colossal body stretched at least fifty kilometers, resembling a black-skinned lizard. But instead of scales, its surface was covered in slabs of black, stone-like material. In the dim void, it appeared as a vast shadow—only its giant eyes, glowing with a ghostly blue light, were visible to the naked eye.

As the beast appeared, ripples spread through the space of the starry sky. It undulated as if swimming through water, and those ripples looked like disturbed currents. Lin Yun knew that anyone below Heaven-rank would be instantly torn to shreds if swept by those ripples...

A terrifying aura erupted, and even millions of kilometers away, Lin Yun could feel its dreadful might. Even a glancing blow from such a being meant a gruesome death.

Agalon's face grew grim. He dropped a single sentence before vanishing into the warship.

"I'll draw it away."

Lin Yun's expression was solemn as he issued orders to the alchemical golems inside the warship. There were more than three hundred golems piloting the vessel, three of which were Heaven-rank and had already awakened intelligence.

Their strength might be lacking, but when it came to piloting the warship, they were far superior to human operators.

This starry sky beast, shaped like a giant lizard, had a thick, long body—almost more like a sea creature. It moved swiftly through the void, radiating an aura at least level forty-eight. But with that massive size, even a ninth-rank Heaven-rank expert might not be able to defeat it.

If Lin Yun had to face such a being, even if it slept with its eyes closed, he could attack for ten years and not break through its defenses.

Agalon left the warship and appeared in the Endless Void, his powerful aura blooming. The starlight in the sky seemed to twist, countless rays gathering and rapidly forming a nearly three-thousand-meter-tall giant hand of starlight in the void, which slammed into the giant lizard's face.

A series of spatial explosions rippled from the lizard's face, chaotic energy bursting like fireworks. The giant lizard staggered, tumbling thousands of kilometers through the void, its dark green blood spraying out and slowly dispersing as droplets.

Faced with such a terrifying assault, the lizard quickly recovered and roared at Agalon. Its blood spurted like a waterfall, but the wound on its right cheek was little more than a superficial cut. The black armor covering its skin shattered into chunks, but the wound healed rapidly, and even the broken armor was swiftly restored.

Agalon's expression was grim. He reached into the void, gathering starlight to forge a two-meter staff, as if made of star-iron and studded with starlight. At the tip sat a deep blue gem the size of a human head.

In an instant, countless stars seemed to appear around Agalon. The points of starlight expanded rapidly, and in the blink of an eye, the void was filled with countless runes of law, all like stars orbiting Agalon along predetermined paths.

Suddenly, blinding starlight burst forth—a beam at least ten kilometers wide blasted toward the giant lizard. Its massive body was surprisingly agile in the void, twisting to dodge the searing light.

But the thick beam of starlight instantly changed direction, slamming into the lizard's belly. The surrounding starlight, like giant ropes, seized the opportunity to wrap around the beast, encasing it completely.

The endless runes of law around Agalon flickered like stars, their light swirling violently. The mass of starlight enveloping the lizard churned, and furious roars echoed through the starry sky, shaking the very soul.
