Breaking the Chaos Gate

12/19/2025

Crack! As the final barrier between the Oath Platform and Joe Di vanished, the oppressive aura of the Oath Platform disappeared without a trace.

Joe Di, delighted, reached out his hand. The Oath Platform, which had previously been difficult to even shift, now easily fell into his palm, exquisitely crafted.

With a flicker of his divine sense, Joe Di sent the Oath Platform into his Sea of Consciousness. To his astonishment, the Oath Platform's position within his mind was even above that of the World Tome.

There was no doubt—the Oath Platform originated from another universe, and the laws of that universe were slightly superior to those of the Five Elements Universe. After all, the World Tome belonged to the Five Elements Universe and had nothing to do with other realms.

This might also be because the rules of the Five Elements Universe were incomplete, resulting in the World Tome being ranked slightly lower than the Oath Platform.

Joe Di searched through the World Tome but could not find the name of the Oath Platform. However, the Chaos Gate appeared in the World Tome, confirming that this occurred after he had obtained two Rift Dao Tokens. After acquiring the tokens, he had been busy refining the Oath Platform and hadn’t noticed the new information about the Rift Dao Tokens and Chaos Gate in the World Tome.

The World Tome not only explained that two Rift Dao Tokens could shift the Chaos Gate’s location, but also revealed that gathering nine Rift Dao Tokens would allow one to fully take possession of the Chaos Gate.

The Chaos Gate cannot be refined in its original place. Once it is taken away, it can be refined at will.

Joe Di knew that gathering nine Rift Dao Tokens was impossible. Since that could not be achieved, his only option was to destroy the Chaos Gate.

When Joe Di rushed back to the location of the Chaos Gate at top speed, he found someone attacking his protective array.

The one attacking Joe Di’s protective array was a slender, long-haired male cultivator. Judging by his aura, he was at the Integration Realm—a realm that was all too common in this place.

When the long-haired cultivator saw Joe Di approach, he immediately stopped attacking the defensive array and fixed Joe Di with a wary gaze.

Joe Di sized up the cultivator before speaking, "Everyone says there are only three Rift Dao Tokens in this universe, but I believe there are four. If I’m not mistaken, you must have one of them."

Joe Di was certain this man was not Neil Jensen, so he guessed that the slender, long-haired cultivator possessed a Rift Dao Token.

"Cyrus Xi greets Daoist Joe. I apologize for offending your protective array, and I ask for your forgiveness." The cultivator clasped his fists respectfully.

Joe Di wasn’t surprised that Cyrus Xi recognized him. After all, he had shattered the Chaotic Continent’s protective array and taken the Oath Platform at its core. If anyone here didn’t know Joe Di, that would be strange indeed.

"You still haven’t answered my question." Joe Di’s voice was cold. If Cyrus Xi gave the wrong answer, he would not hesitate to kill him.

Cyrus Xi nodded. "Yes, I do possess the fourth Rift Dao Token, and until now, no one else knew about it."

That made sense. According to the World Tome, the Rift Dao Token had the ability to locate the Chaos Gate. It was no surprise that Cyrus Xi, possessing such a token, was able to find this place.

"Daoist Joe, I only wish to leave this place. If you open the array and let me leave through the Chaos Gate, I promise not to reveal a single word." Cyrus Xi spoke again, and as he did, he produced a ring and handed it to Joe Di, indicating that it contained his toll for passage.

"Your background." Joe Di didn’t take the ring at all. He simply spoke these four words.

Cyrus Xi’s tone grew even more sincere. "I was once the First Protector of Genesis City. When you killed Gavin Wu, I was not in Genesis City."

Cyrus Xi’s strength was not far off from Gavin Wu’s. Had Joe Di not defeated Gavin Wu, Cyrus Xi would have already made his move, and wouldn’t have taken Joe Di seriously. But Joe Di not only easily eliminated Gavin Wu and dozens of other Third Step experts, he took the Oath Platform from the Treasure Hall, rescued that woman, and severely injured both Byron True and Quinn Yan, the city lord of Genesis City. With such terrifying power, not even a thousand lives would give Cyrus Xi the courage to challenge Joe Di here.

After hearing Cyrus Xi’s explanation, Joe Di simply replied in a calm voice, "You may leave, but you’ll have to wait a while. As for your attack on my protective array, I’ll let it go this time."

With that, Joe Di stepped into his protective array. Cyrus Xi could only watch helplessly as Joe Di entered, not daring to attack the array again.

In Joe Di’s eyes, Cyrus Xi was clearly a selfish man. He had a Rift Dao Token and only cared about escaping himself, never considering anyone else. He didn’t realize that once he left with the Rift Dao Token, no one else would ever be able to leave this place.

Joe Di also understood why Cyrus Xi didn’t consider others—he feared the Rift Dao Token would be taken by someone stronger. Whatever his reasons, it only proved his selfishness. Since he was so self-serving, he couldn’t be allowed to leave so easily. Besides, Joe Di was sure Cyrus Xi wouldn’t inform Byron True that the Chaos Gate was here, because Cyrus Xi was afraid Byron True would seize his Rift Dao Token and also feared provoking Joe Di into moving the Chaos Gate again.

Landing outside the Chaos Gate, Joe Di began arranging the Explosive Divine Array. He knew that breaking the Chaos Gate alone would not be possible. His greatest strength was in array techniques, so he would use the Explosive Divine Array to tear open the Chaos Gate.

Once the Chain Explosive Divine Array was complete, Joe Di didn’t activate it immediately. Instead, he took out the Genesis Ironmother—he wanted to forge a blade artifact.

Ever since the Azure Veil Blade was left in the Vast Chaos for repair, he had been without a usable long blade. Every blade he forged for battle would shatter after one or two fights. Yet each of those blades was no less than a top-grade artifact.

Now, having obtained the Genesis Ironmother, he naturally wanted to use it to forge a top-tier blade.

He summoned his Dao Fire, and the Genesis Ironmother quickly condensed into a blade embryo within its flames. Now, when Joe Di forged artifacts, he no longer relied on crude methods; instead, he refined treasures by infusing them with his own cosmic laws. One law after another was merged into the blade embryo, each transforming into a separate restriction.

Even with the Genesis Ironmother, it took Joe Di only two days to forge a long blade. This blade was completely different from the Azure Veil Blade; it was a thick-backed, broad-edged long blade.

The purpose of forging such a sturdy long blade was to tear open the Chaos Gate.

With the blade completed, a clear, ringing sound exploded in Joe Di’s ears. With a flick of his hand, the long blade fell into his grasp. That familiar feeling, no less than the Azure Veil Blade, surged up once again.

If Quinn Yan and Byron True, those old scoundrels, returned, with this blade and his technique 'Three Schemes of Time,' he might truly be able to finish them off.

After some thought, Joe Di suppressed the urge. To easily defeat Byron True and Quinn Yan, he would have to wait until he could effortlessly unleash the Seventh Blade.

With a slight motion of his hand, a burst of blade light exploded forth. Joe Di looked at the long blade with satisfaction. "From now on, I’ll call you Realmforger."

This blade was forged to open the Chaos Gate. Once the gate was opened, it could fuse the Five Elements Universe’s cosmic laws. Thus, calling it Realmforger was fitting.

He activated the array flags, and in an instant, the rules beneath the Chaos Gate exploded, unleashing boundless divine essence as the void began to collapse. At the same moment, Joe Di’s Realmforger Blade tore outward.

Boom, boom, boom! Ferocious and terrifying blade curtains erupted in waves, joining the Explosive Divine Array’s assault. At that moment, all attacks struck the Chaos Gate—Joe Di wanted to shatter it in one blow.

Crack, crack, crack! Joe Di clearly felt the Chaos Gate tremble violently, then a wild and terrifying force rebounded, slamming into his chest. No matter how strong Joe Di was, he couldn’t withstand such dreadful backlash. He was blasted away, crashing into his protective array, which groaned and showed several fine cracks.

Spitting several streams of blood, Joe Di collapsed to the ground.

So strong... Joe Di wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, staring at the Chaos Gate, which remained completely unscathed. His heart went cold.

(That’s all for today’s update. Good night, friends!)
