Zane Zuo’s Immortal Infant Escapes

1/19/2026

The sudden change caught the Demon King completely off guard—the Firmament Light Mirror’s radiance blasted a giant hole straight through his body, and before he could even react, Evan Chu’s Star-Cleave struck him again.

In his panic, the only thing he could do was instinctively raise his arms to block the fierce attack, but the Frostbane Divine Sword is no ordinary weapon—the massive sword-qi slammed into his body all at once.

Both arms were severed instantly by the Frostbane Divine Sword, and the sword-qi tore through his body, splitting him in two. Even his inner Demon Infant didn’t have time to escape before Evan Chu finished him off.

Everyone was stunned by the scene. Nolan Nangong and Jade Qin immediately realized this was Evan Chu’s doing—only he could pull off something this terrifying. And now he could even turn invisible? That was just too monstrous.

Zane Zuo and the other Demon King’s faces changed dramatically—the Demon King even trembled. “Em—Emerald Immortal Empress?”

The light from the Firmament Light Mirror combined with that devastating invisible attack was exactly the signature move that made the Emerald Immortal Empress legendary in the Demonic Realm. Seeing it appear here was simply unbelievable.

Nolan Nangong, Jade Qin, and the Heavenly Fragrance Grand Elder quickly moved to block any escape. Nolan drew his sword and attacked the Demon King, while Jade Qin went for Zane Zuo.

The Heavenly Fragrance Grand Elder assisted Nolan, instantly entangling both opponents. At that moment, Evan Chu spoke up: “Sect Master Qin, leave Zane Zuo’s life to me. You and Nolan can deal with the Demon King. None of them can be allowed to leave alive today.”

With that, Evan Chu dropped his invisibility and appeared right in front of Zane Zuo. Zane’s face instantly changed. “You—how are you here?”

“Of course I’m here. How else could I take your dog life? Zane Zuo, I never wanted to be your enemy, but you had the nerve to crash my wedding. Did you really think your Demonic Sevenfold Slaughter was invincible? Today I’ll show you the true power of Sevenfold Absolute Cleave.” Evan Chu said coldly.

Zane Zuo’s face twisted in shock. Others might not know Sevenfold Absolute Cleave well, but he understood it better than anyone—Sevenfold Absolute Cleave and Demonic Sevenfold Slaughter were both terrifying martial arts from the God Realm, and they directly restrained each other.

Now that this kid could use Sevenfold Absolute Cleave, it meant he could also wield the sixth form. Zane Zuo still remembered the aftermath of unleashing his own sixth slash—worse than death, and it had taken him years to recover.

Running into this kid was truly fate—his destined nemesis. There was nothing left but to gamble his life and fight to the death.

“Kid, I didn’t expect you to know Sevenfold Absolute Cleave. Since Demonic Sevenfold Slaughter and Sevenfold Absolute Cleave are fated to clash, let’s see who’s stronger today!” Zane Zuo spat.

Evan Chu tightened his grip on the Frostbane Divine Sword, Chaos Immortal Force surging wildly inside him. Against Zane Zuo, he had to pair Unicorn Arm with Divine Cleave. Chaos Immortal Force poured rapidly into his arm.

Zane Zuo flashed into the air, summoning his black saber. Demonic qi coiled endlessly around the blade, radiating a terrifying aura.

“Evan Chu, I never thought you’d be such a heaven-defying genius. If I’d known, I would’ve killed you in Newcapital City and spared myself this disaster. You brought Frostbane Imperial Palace’s wrath on yourself. And don’t forget, you killed the City Lord of Lumastream City—my man.

Lumastream City belongs to Coldshroud Imperial Palace. You refused to give me face, so I won’t give you any. Today, either you die or I do.” Zane Zuo snarled.

“So that’s how it is. Maybe I really was in the wrong, but I never take responsibility for my mistakes. The City Lord of Lumastream was courting death—he thought being an Immortal Emperor made him untouchable, but in the end, he still died under my sword,” Evan Chu replied.

Zane Zuo’s face twisted with rage, his anger surging. The black saber in his hand radiated blade-qi that kept stretching longer. He roared, “Die for me!”

A world-shattering attack exploded in the sky, shocking even Nolan Nangong, Jade Qin, and the others fighting below.

It was the same move Zane Zuo once used against Jade Qin. Everyone worried whether Evan Chu could withstand such a tyrannical strike. But Evan just laughed and said:

“You call that trash an attack? Let me show you what real Sevenfold Absolute Cleave looks like. I hope you still exist after this strike.”

As he finished speaking, the Frostbane Divine Sword unleashed Divine Cleave. The strike instantly drained half of Evan Chu’s Chaos Immortal Force—a massive sword-light over twenty meters long burst from the blade, slashing at Zane Zuo’s colossal saber-qi.

The sky trembled from the impact—such destructive power was unprecedented for Nolan Nangong, Jade Qin, and even the heavily wounded Demon King.

Back when Evan Chu used Divine Cleave to slay Hector Vaughn at Skyshade Hall, he hadn’t paired it with Unicorn Arm—so its power was nowhere near this level. The four on the ground stopped fighting, stunned by the terrifying strike.

Such a horrifying blow was truly rare. Space itself twisted, as if about to shatter—energy storms raged everywhere, and the massive Glasswind tore apart the surrounding mountains.

Evan Chu’s sword-qi collided with Zane Zuo’s saber-qi, producing a deafening roar. Zane Zuo felt a chill of fear—such overwhelming power, even his Demonic Sevenfold Slaughter – Sixth Slash couldn’t withstand it.

Of course, if he could use the Seventh Slash, it would be a different story—but with his current strength, that was impossible. The Seventh Slash of Demonic Sevenfold Slaughter required God-Realm power, just like Evan Chu’s final form of Sevenfold Absolute Cleave.

The sword-qi and saber-qi canceled each other out, but Evan Chu’s sword-qi was stronger—most of Zane Zuo’s saber-qi was wiped out, and by the time it reached Evan, it was already much weaker.

Still, the impact sent Evan Chu flying for hundreds of meters before he managed to steady himself. Deep, bone-revealing wounds split open on his body, golden blood slowly oozing out—yet the wood element in his body quickly began to heal the injuries.

Zane Zuo wasn’t so lucky. Nearly half of the devastating sword-light landed on him, instantly slicing his body into dozens of pieces—his flesh was annihilated, dead beyond all hope.

But just then, Zane Zuo’s still-intact head suddenly exploded. A flash of purple light darted into the sky—it was his Immortal Infant. Evan Chu hadn’t expected Zane’s Immortal Infant to be hidden in his head…
