Sitting beside the third-floor window, overlooking the street, Andrew Han calmly watched the freckled youth take off his straw hat.

The youth clutched his pocket, glancing around warily, as if on guard against something—or perhaps trying to escape something.

"Don’t block the way, don’t block the way."

"Look at those shifty eyes—definitely not a good person." Some girls giggled behind their handkerchiefs, commenting on the youth, while passersby shoved him aside, hurrying past.

"Hmph."

The youth let out a low grunt.

He hung his head, the brim of his hat shading his expression. A stubborn, unyielding look flashed beneath the gloom as he clenched his yellowed teeth, as if determined to swallow all the humiliation and scorn.

Above, Andrew Han observed for a while.

His soul was exceedingly sharp, and he had already sensed a peculiar fluctuation. After a moment’s observation, he confirmed that the strange wave was emanating from the youth’s pocket.

“Interesting.”

“Such an uncanny, delicate fluctuation is surely a Cosmic Wonder.” Andrew Han leisurely picked up his drink, first moistening his throat, then flicking his palm to clear away the fine dust and bacteria, and took a bite of Crowned Hare Brain.

His expression was serene, showing no surprise.

It was just a mere Wonder—Andrew Han could hardly care.

Outside the window, by the street, the youth pressed his hat brim even lower and gradually disappeared into the crowd. He moved cautiously, hunched over, clutching his pocket tightly, his eyes darting about, terrified the black-glowing sapling might be lost.

Andrew Han withdrew his gaze.
