Chapter 1147
In just a few seconds, Leon finally saw the reason why the earth was trembling. In the distance, a massive horde of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts was charging toward him like maniacs.
There were Mud Lizards, Two-Headed Serpents, Ice Apes, Woolly Mammoths...
Several of these species were natural enemies, yet now they were crowding together, shoulder to shoulder, rushing forward in unison...
Moreover, every single beast seemed to be in a state of berserk rage—the eyes of each one were blood-red.
Leon was utterly shocked, unable to comprehend what was happening. Why were these Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts storming this place?
But as he turned the thought over, a sudden realization dawned on Leon.
No matter what species they once were, after entering this place and becoming Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts, they were now one kind. Maybe that’s why there was almost no fighting among them.
Now that Leon had sealed off the Alchemical Array, every mana crystal produced was taken away—no new Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts could be born. The remaining beasts in the Blazeforge Battlefield, under endless, frenzied hunting, would soon be completely wiped out.
By then, it would be extinction. The lifeline of their species would be severed for good...
For most creatures, the continuation of their species depends on reproduction. But for the beasts beneath his feet, this Alchemical Array was the very heart of their survival.
It’s like how nature elves aren’t born through mating—all new elves emerge from the fruit of the Great Tree of Life. But if anyone dared to destroy that tree, every nature elf would surely go berserk...
Realizing this, Leon couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat.
The Mage Legion, Hubert, Reina, Alchemical Golems, even Anderson—all were summoned and stood ready to face the oncoming Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts.
The Mage Legion surged into the sky, transforming into a golden cloud of fire. Within the blaze, orange fire elementals flickered in and out of sight.
In an instant, a barrage of Explosive Flame spells shot out, raining down upon the horde of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts.
Roars and explosions echoed without pause. One after another, Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts screamed and toppled under the blasts, but the rest didn’t slow for a moment—heads down, they kept charging toward the Alchemical Array.
The Alchemical Golems and Anderson instantly unleashed torrents of spells, violently striking at the advancing beasts.
Reina soared into the air, transforming into a majestic Frost Dragon, casting draconic spells one after another.
But the Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts were utterly crazed. Two snow-white Frost Beasts spewed vast waves of ice, shrouding hundreds of meters of sky in freezing mist.
The fire unleashed by the Mage Legion, aside from its explosive force, had its burning power reduced to the bare minimum.
The spell torrents from the Alchemical Golems and Anderson were met head-on by four Bull Beasts at the front. These towering creatures, dozens of meters high, had skin like gray stone—almost impervious. Their only specialty was Stone Skin.
Their defenses were terrifying. Against enemies, pure brute force was enough—charging straight ahead with powerful defenses and unbreakable horns, they could topple mountains.
In barely ten seconds, the horde of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts had closed to within several hundred meters of the Alchemical Array. Leon had no choice but to go all out.
A phantom of a purple dragon loomed behind him. The Death Tome in his left hand flipped open on its own, while Theo manipulated the Spellbook of Ages beside him.
Runic Fourfold Explosive Bombs coalesced endlessly before Leon, trailing white vapor tails as they slammed into the foremost Bull Beasts.
A horrific chain of explosions erupted, shockwaves stacking atop each other, brutally flipping the four Bull Beasts. Only then did the beasts behind reveal themselves.
Anderson and the Alchemical Golems finally unleashed a terrifying wave of elemental magic, surging toward the beasts in the rear.
Theo wielded the Spellbook of Ages, summoning a massive vortex of fire dozens of meters wide in midair. A torrent of wild elemental flame poured forth from the vortex.
Using those elemental flames as fuel, he ignited the Fires of the Abyss, Corrosive Black Flame, and Destructive Blaze. The searing fire crashed down like the sky collapsing, engulfing the entire horde of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts...
The first to succumb to the flames were the Three-Headed Bone Demons. Their exposed bones ignited quickly, the Devouring Black Flame searing their skeletons, eating away at their defenses, then burning inward along the bone into their bodies.
In less than twenty seconds, the Three-Headed Bone Demons were shrieking as black fire erupted from within, reducing them to ash.
With Saedus’s help, they barely managed to withstand the charge of the massive horde of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts.
Leon frowned, relentlessly condensing Fourfold Explosive Bombs and blasting the beasts one by one, sending them flying into the distance.
But these things were still crazed—if they weren’t dead, they kept charging at the Alchemical Array...
There were simply too many Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts here. They’d formed a crude formation—tough defenders in front, spellcasters in the rear.
That meant Leon and his allies had no chance to pick them off one by one. Each beast, force-grown, was massive and thick-skinned. Even a reinforced Fourfold Explosive Bomb only tore a bloody wound a few meters wide.
But for beasts of this size, such wounds were mere scratches. Unless their heads were blown off, the pain only made them more vicious.

For over ten minutes, the battle was locked in stalemate. The charging beasts were beaten back again and again, only for fresh ones to surge forward, never giving Leon and his allies a moment’s rest.
Leon frowned, urging Saedus to unleash endless flames. The torrent of elemental fire spewing from that massive vortex overhead showed no sign of stopping.
Gradually, the three strongest flames controlled by Saedus formed a protective barrier hundreds of meters wide outside the basin.
As the barrier expanded, its scorching power intensified, and the relentless assault of the pseudo Sky Rank beasts finally began to slow.
Bone Demons and similar beasts dared not enter the flames, leaving only the thick-skinned Bull Beasts to charge through the fiery zone.
With fewer beasts, the pressure on everyone eased. Leon floated midair, dousing fires on all sides, and finally had the chance to pick out specific monsters to slay.
Before, whenever a swarm threatened the basin’s perimeter, Leon would rush over and unleash several *Four-Element Bombs* to blast them back—but beasts kept attacking from every direction.
When Leon faced a beast one-on-one, unless it was a Bull Beast with its formidable defenses, he could always finish it off within half a minute.
Yet after half an hour of nonstop fighting, Leon hadn’t stayed in one spot for more than ten seconds.
Once the pressure eased, Leon’s eyes grew cold. Gripping the Doombringer Staff, he chanted rapidly, spitting out rule runes. Instantly, eight *Four-Element Bombs* condensed, trailing white arcs as they struck an Ice Ape.
A series of explosions rang out. Five blasts blew apart the Ice Ape’s shielding arms, while the remaining three struck its head, blasting the towering creature into a heap of corpses. Its magic crystal vanished into the chaos.
Slowly, their counterattack began to bear fruit. In five minutes, Leon and his squad slew six pseudo Sky Rank beasts.
Finally, the dozens of frenzied monsters retreated. Each pseudo Sky Rank beast, lacking true intelligence, glared at Leon and his companions with blood-red, hateful eyes.
The beasts withdrew over two thousand meters and stopped. Each colossal monster, tens of meters tall, now loomed like a row of hills ahead.
Leon hovered in the air, his brow tightly furrowed.
Trouble. I didn’t expect these pseudo Sky Rank beasts to know about this place—they seem to understand exactly where they were born.
There are at least thirty pseudo Sky Rank beasts here. With so many charging together, it’ll be incredibly hard for us to hold them off.
Good thing we set up the Central Alchemical Array beforehand. Otherwise, within a day, these pseudo Sky Rank beasts would have taken this place.
Just then, a piercing cry echoed from afar. With it, visible ripples spread outward.
Clouds overhead were swept away by the ripples. Within a dozen kilometers, every drifting cloud was instantly shattered.
The space itself was like a calm lake struck by a massive stone. The ripples spread far and wide, and as they neared the basin, the ground rose in a sandstorm dozens of meters high.
Dust filled the sky, forming a colossal sandstorm wave several kilometers wide, sweeping toward them with traces of spatial ripples.
Upon hearing the sound, the pseudo Sky Rank beasts thousands of meters ahead turned and knelt toward its source, as if answering a king’s call.
All the beasts let the sandstorm waves crash over them, the crackling like rolling thunder.
The sandstorm wave, carrying countless dust and stones, surged violently toward the basin.
