Master Actually Knows This
"Rona, have you found a good family to marry into yet?" Grace asked with a smile.
"Sister, what are you talking about!" Rona Zhu blushed, her shyness obvious.
"Hehe, we've looked at a few families, but still can't decide!" said the Dowager Lady. "Your father's birthday is coming up, so I've asked him to invite those two suitors over. You can help us decide!"
"Sure! No problem!" Grace playfully tugged Rona's nose. "I'll definitely help you find your dream guy!"
"Sister!" Rona Zhu's neck flushed bright red with embarrassment.
...
After some laughter and teasing, Grace went to find her father. She told him about obtaining the antidote recipe and the matter of the Frostbound Casket. Minister Zhuo was naturally overjoyed.
"Grace, now that you have the recipe, does that mean your mother can be saved?" Minister Zhuo gazed at her, his eyes brimming with hope.
Grace paused for a moment and said, "So far, I still haven't found the ingredients."
"Are the ingredients... hard to find?"
"It's definitely not easy to find," Grace said.
After completing the Frostbound Casket task, the third floor's herb vault was unlocked.
However, only the Common Herb Vault was opened.
The Rare Herb Vault was still bathed in golden light—totally off limits.
Although the Common Herb Vault contained many rare treasures, none of them were what she needed.
She also searched through the books in the Celestial Library whenever she had time these past few days, but found no mention of Heaven's Dew or Phoenix Essence.
She was certain those books held clues.
But with thousands of books and only a month left for her mother, how could she possibly search them all?
Seeing Minister Zhuo's brows furrow again, Grace said, "Dad, don't worry. I'll go find my mentor soon. He might have a solution."
Minister Zhuo nodded.
Grace didn't hesitate for a second and headed straight to Full Moon Manor to find her mentor.
Perhaps he had already predicted her return—he was fishing again.
When he saw her, Jun Lionhead grinned and said, "I was just craving your fish soup, and look who shows up! Check it out, I've caught a whole bunch of fish."
Grace sat down beside him and called out, "Mentor."
"Hmm?"
"Mentor!" Grace suddenly grabbed his arm, her excitement bubbling over. "I've finally got the antidote recipe for Sevenfold Winterbane!"
In her previous life, when the woman poisoned by Sevenfold Winterbane came to Grace for help, Grace had consulted her mentor.
But even he was powerless.
He said that there was a way to detoxify the poison, but he didn't know how.
He also said he'd studied antidote recipes for many years, but found nothing...
...
Jun Lionhead turned to look at Grace.
He met eyes that sparkled with excitement, eagerness, and hope.
Toward him, she had no defenses at all.
It had been this way since the first time she climbed the mountain to become his disciple.
Sometimes Jun Lionhead even felt an illusion, as if they'd truly known each other for many years, as if he really had been her mentor...
"The poison of Sevenfold Winterbane was believed to be impossible to cure. Only three hundred years ago, when the wife of Ling Alliance leader Lu Qi was poisoned, did he spend ten years crafting an antidote."
Her mentor actually knew about this?
Grace was surprised, but quickly understood.
Since her mentor's father was an elder of the Ling Alliance, of course he would know.
"Unfortunately, he only obtained the recipe. On the quest for ingredients, he was ambushed and died tragically! So the antidote for Sevenfold Winterbane can only be found in one place."
"Where?"
"The Celestial Library," Jun Lionhead replied with a knowing smile. "I'm guessing you finally made it inside, didn't you?"
