Liu Family Thug

"Is it harder to obtain the Sacred Snow Lotus and Heavenward Spirit Water, or the Iceflame Crystal needed to break Roxanne Lin's Vermilion Bird Mark?" Evan Chu never gives up as long as there is hope—becoming strong is every martial artist's dream.

"They're all about the same," Luna the Sword Spirit replied. "So for now, just focus on getting stronger. Without enough strength, you won't be able to obtain any of these things, even if they were right in front of you!

I've already awakened and no longer need to absorb your star force. Now you can absorb it fully yourself." Luna the Sword Spirit revealed the truth.

Evan Chu finally understood why he hadn't been able to absorb or store star force in his body for the past two years—the culprit was Luna the Sword Spirit all along.

"Damn it, I fed you for two whole years! Give me back my star force!" Evan Chu nearly exploded—he'd been labeled trash all because of the Sword Spirit. Thinking about it, he really was wronged!

"Cheapskate. It's just a little star force—look how worked up you are!" Luna the Sword Spirit didn't care at all about Evan Chu almost losing it.

"You... you... Forget it, I'll let you off this time!" Evan Chu could only compromise—he really had no way to deal with Luna the Sword Spirit.

Thinking about the Sword Spirit's vast powers, he felt he'd actually gained more than he'd lost. So what if he missed out on two years of star force? Now he could absorb it all, and with his talent, he'd make up for it in no time.

Gripping the Azure Gale Sword, Evan Chu felt an indescribable sensation. Right now, his only hope was for nightfall to come quickly...

Every day, a young man could be seen in the back mountain of Flowing Cloud City, tirelessly practicing with his longsword.

The surrounding trees were already shattered to pieces. "Finally mastered the sixth form!" the young man exhaled a breath of turbid air.

"Evan, you should be satisfied—mastering the first six forms in just two months and reaching the fifth level of the Xuanwu Realm is already impressive." A girl's voice echoed in his mind.

"Sister Luna, but why can't I form an Earth Star Pellet in my body yet? You said I'd get huge benefits after that night with Roxanne, so why haven't I felt anything?"

He muttered to himself, looking casual, but the look in his eyes sent chills down anyone's spine.

This youth was none other than Evan Chu, who had obtained a mid-grade Profound-tier martial art from the Book Repository. After two months of relentless training, he had now broken through to the fifth level of the Xuanwu Realm.

"Once you break through to the sixth level, you'll be able to condense an Earth Star Pellet. With the star force in your body now, there's probably no one in Flowing Cloud City's younger generation who can match you."

Evan Chu didn't have a storage belt, so he could only carry the Azure Gale Sword in his hand. "Breaking through to the sixth level will take a bit more time, and the clan competition is getting closer every day."

He hadn't visited Flowing Cloud City in ages—maybe today he'd get lucky like last time and find another opportunity.

Flowing Cloud City was still bustling with traffic and crowds. Evan Chu glanced at the Azure Gale Sword in his hand and smiled. "I wonder how Gabe Goldstone is doing these days. Hope I see you at Heavenly Dragon Academy."

Just then, a commotion broke out ahead of Evan Chu, and a crowd began gathering toward the source of the noise.

Most people just love a spectacle—Evan Chu was no exception, so he squeezed into the crowd along with everyone else.

Looking closer, he saw an old man kneeling on the ground, desperately begging a youth about his own age.

Evan Chu recognized the youth—it was Liam Liu, the Liu Family's second son, from one of Flowing Cloud City's great clans.

Evan knew a bit about Liam Liu—he was notorious for bullying the weak and throwing his weight around the streets of Flowing Cloud City. No one dared to stop him.

He was always followed by a few capable henchmen—whenever trouble arose, they were the ones who helped him teach others a lesson.

Plus, the Liu Family was rich and powerful—most people just turned a blind eye, since making trouble brought no benefits.

Evan Chu watched the old man beg for mercy, blood still visible at the corner of his mouth. Clearly, Liam Liu had already resorted to violence.

"Young Master Liu, please, give me back my monster-beast egg. I was hoping to sell it for money to buy medicine for my grandson—he's been bedridden for three days now!" The old man kept kowtowing as he pleaded.

"Old man, if our young master wants your stuff, that's your good fortune. Don't make trouble for yourself, or we'll kill you!" one of Liam Liu's henchmen threatened.

"So that's it—he robbed the old man's monster-beast egg. What rotten luck, running into that thug. He's infamous as a 'three-no' scoundrel." someone in the crowd whispered.

Evan Chu was confused—he'd never heard of a 'three-no' scoundrel before.

Just then, someone next to him quietly asked their companion, "What's a 'three-no' scoundrel?"

Evan Chu leaned in to listen. "A 'three-no' scoundrel means: buys things without paying, eats without paying, and robs people no matter who they are."

After hearing this, Evan Chu was secretly shocked. He hadn't expected Liam Liu to turn out like this after two years—a complete thug and bully, the kind of person he truly despised.

The guy even had the nerve to steal something the old man needed to buy medicine for his grandson. Truly heartless.

Liam Liu and his crew saw the crowd growing larger, feeling proud—so many people watching, and not a single one dared to interfere. His reputation was well earned.

Seeing his pleas go unanswered, the old man stood up, rushed to Liam Liu, and grabbed his clothes. "If you don't give me back my monster-beast egg today, I won't let you leave!"

"Let go of your filthy hands! Do you have any idea how much this young master's clothes cost?" One of the henchmen saw the old man grab Liam Liu's clothes and, without warning, tossed the old man several meters away.

The old man landed right where Evan Chu was standing. As the crowd backed away, Evan Chu stepped forward and caught him.

Evan Chu saw the old man's face twisted in pain. Looking closer, he realized the thug had actually shattered the old man's shoulder blade, and anger welled up inside him.

"Rest here, sir. I'll get justice for you!" Evan Chu said, then strode toward the henchman who'd thrown the old man.

"So, who's got the guts to meddle in my business? Oh, it's just the Chu Family's useless trash. You think you're worthy?" Liam Liu sneered, recognizing Evan Chu and clearly annoyed he dared to help the old man.

"It's not up to you to decide who's worthy!" Evan Chu retorted. In a flash, he unleashed a fist imbued with star force at the nearest of Liam Liu's henchmen.

He moved so fast the henchman couldn't react—Evan Chu's fist landed squarely, and a pig-like scream echoed through the street.

Though the punch seemed simple, it was fueled by Evan's anger—he broke three of the henchman's ribs in one blow. There was no way to hide the pain.

"Evan Chu, you must have a death wish to lay hands on my men. Even if the King of Heaven himself came, you wouldn't be saved today!" Liam Liu roared, furious that Evan had injured his subordinate.

In his memory, no one had ever dared do this—he'd forgotten that even a so-called 'useless' Chu could knock a fourth-level Xuanwu Realm fighter to the ground with a single punch.

"Liam Liu, your name really suits you. I wonder what your father was thinking—maybe he just knew you'd be a thug from birth, so he named you 'Liu Mang' (street punk)?" Evan Chu said calmly.

Evan Chu didn't even consider Liam Liu's henchmen a threat—and as for Liam himself, he hadn't even reached the threshold of the Xuanwu Realm.

"All of you, get him! Whoever kills him first gets a hundred Spirit Stones!" Liam Liu bellowed.
