The fierce raid erupted in an instant, and the crew aboard the colossal ship reacted with impressive speed. The moment the attack hit, they didn’t freeze or waste time with pointless shouting or cursing. Instead, they immediately kicked into action, just as they’d been trained.
Silent and agile—their professionalism rivaled that of special forces.
Right away, you could see what set the SD Syndicate apart—they were nothing like your typical smuggling gang. Even international arms dealers, who deal with frequent inspections from various countries and checks by the UN or Interpol, make sure their crew isn’t carrying anything illegal out in the open.
But here, things were different. As soon as the raid hit, crew members started pulling out weapons from under their work uniforms and from the corners of the ship. Some even yanked open a shipping container and hauled out heavy weaponry, charging straight toward the explosion.
These elite fighters could easily be the ace in the hole for any military unit, anywhere in the world. But unfortunately, they’d lost the initiative—and their opponents weren’t ordinary, either.
“Move! Move! Move!” Suddenly, a roaring chainsaw flew out of the sparks on the ship’s roof. Chainsaw Girl had clearly unlocked some new skill—she’d chained the end of her chainsaw with a thick iron link, swinging it like a helicopter rotor. This move was instant death if it hit, and serious injury if it grazed you. At close quarters, the blazing chainsaw was way scarier than any gun.
Chainsaw Girl came down with Oddball Bro just to protect him, making sure he didn’t get killed after wrecking the radio antenna. But once she got going, she forgot everything else. First, she booted Oddball Bro off the roof, sending him rolling who-knows-where, then dashed out swinging her iron chain.
She leapt from the ship’s roof, cackling as she dove straight into the SD Syndicate crew trying to block her way.
Meanwhile, Shadowfin surfaced at just the right moment and charged in. Its 'deck' expanded into a wide platform, packed with people. These black-clad warriors, led by Charlie, were the new generation of special ops. Each one wore a tactical wrist computer on their left arm, showing a precise 3D map with enemy positions marked clearly.
Shadowfin shot toward the giant ship on a steep curve. At the perfect moment, Charlie waved his hand, and the black-clad warriors all raised their guns at once. With a whizzing sound, grappling hooks fired onto the ship. Motors whirred as the team stormed aboard, SMGs at the ready—catching the enemy completely off guard.
Gunfire rattled everywhere—bullets thudding, bodies hitting the deck, screams and groans echoing nonstop. The whole deck was chaos. The enemy crew was highly trained, trying to use the ship’s complex layout to set up a layered crossfire for their counterattack. But then, with a dramatic shout, Li Yuncong burst onto the scene, cape flying, landing with a rush of air on the deck.
His cape billowed behind him—his look was as flashy as it gets.
He clenched his fist and yelled, 'Dominating Chrysanthemum Blast!'—then unleashed a giant, suspiciously-shaped beam of light that tore through the night sky, opening up the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Black was moving fast and keeping cool, even taking command of the battlefield. He wore an enemy sailor’s uniform but had his own side’s tracking system. Liu Xiaoying quickly marked him so he wouldn’t get shot by friendly fire.
Bullets sparked off the shipping containers around him, ricocheting everywhere, but Jonathan didn’t flinch. He kept his cool, moving low and fast, sneaking toward the enemy’s main force like a pro at fishing in troubled waters.
Gunfire thundered, deafening. Up high on the stacked containers, an enemy opened up with heavy fire, raining bullets down and seriously messing with the assault.
Jonathan’s eyes flashed cold as he looked up, about to take the guy out—when suddenly, a huge metal box came flying in from afar. With a screech, it sailed over everyone’s heads, smashed into the top of the containers, and exploded into shards with a deafening crash. The gunner’s fate was unknown, but the gunfire stopped immediately.
'With me here, who dares act up?' In the distance, Oddball Bro stood with hands on hips, shaking something and laughing to the sky: 'I’ve got a Cloud-Piercing Spear—hard as iron, tough as steel! Can take on a thousand troops, outshine the heroes—watch this!' Crack! He speared another huge box and flung it like an ancient catapult. The box rolled like a steel steamroller, smashing its way far across the deck.
Sure enough, when it comes to smashing high-voltage radio stations in seconds, Oddball Bro is the most cost-effective solution around.
'Dominating...' Li Yuncong twitched at the corner of his eye, unable to resist facepalming.
Just as he let his guard down, a wave of murderous intent shot out from a dark corner high up on the containers. Someone behind a scope squeezed the trigger. Whoosh—a large-caliber bullet tore through the air, glowing red-hot from the speed. It was a top-tier sniper rifle, and its heavy, booming shot stood out in the chaos.
But Li Yuncong suddenly erupted with Dominance and roared, 'Heaven-Shifting Earth-Moving!'
With a splat, blood spurted from Li Yuncong’s shoulder—he was hit. But the bullet, which should’ve blown half his body apart, only managed this much damage.
Buzz—waves of Dominance rippled out. Li Yuncong clenched his fist, and a flash burst from his wounded shoulder. The sniper heard a sharp 'pew!' and it was as if he’d been shot himself—through the scope, the eye, the brain, and out the back of his head, all in one go.
Pop—a giant spray of blood exploded there.

Li Yuncong brushed his shoulder with the back of his hand, just like flicking off cigarette ash—the bullet had already been sent back.
'Dominance…'
Jonathan Black wasn’t fazed by any of this. He shot Li Yuncong a deep look, then snapped back to his cool, tough self and kept charging toward the enemy’s main force. He strode right through the hail of bullets, heading straight for his target. Dressed as a crew member, he made it most of the way without anyone stopping him—and by the time someone got suspicious, it was already too late.
'Stop!' a burly guy yelled, trying to block him. But Jonathan sprang up, stomping hard on the man’s head. Crack!—the neck snapped, and Jonathan leaped like an acrobat from the first deck to the second. He landed on the railing, muscles tensed, and kicked off again, soaring up another level. Left foot, right foot—layer after layer, he powered his way upward.
"Whoa, this guy’s a beast." Chainsaw Girl crossed paths with Jonathan Black as she came down from above. She glanced at him, then focused on tearing through the chaos below. Her heavy weapon was massive, and she wasn’t quite agile enough to ignore the terrain, so her battlefield was the wide-open spaces—where reach and size gave her the edge.
As for alley fights—leave those to the folks with short-range weapons.
Jonathan felt like he was on fire—his stamina seemed endless, his power beyond human limits.
"Fifth floor!" Crash—he crossed his arms to shield himself, smashing right through a glass barrier. He kicked a guy hiding behind a window, sending him down with his scalp touching his back. Jonathan tore down the long hallway at full speed.
Beep beep beep—his tactical wrist computer kept pinging with updates. Liu Xiaoying and the sensors were feeding him intel. In a battle this fast, intelligence was everything. With this much support, Jonathan almost felt like he was bullying the enemy.
Ever played CS with cheats? You know that feeling—knowing exactly where the enemy is before you even see them? For Jonathan, the corridor was full of enemies, but none of them were a real threat.
At every corner, every intersection, he fired left without looking and took down ambushers, punched right without thinking and dropped pursuers. He sprinted through, taking out every enemy cleanly—no one could slow him down.
[Back on that island, was this how Jack Young felt? No wonder he could take on a hundred by himself—unstoppable. This feeling... is awesome!]
Calm and wild at the same time, Jonathan slipped into a strange state. Deep inside, he felt something snap—and then, even more power surged up from within.
He realized he’d reached the Dragon Elephant Fourth Tier Jack Young talked about.
That’s a good thing.
"Just up ahead!" Jonathan Black charged toward a corner. Normally, he’d turn smoothly, but his newfound strength made him overshoot. He rolled with it, springing off the opposite wall and twisting midair to dodge flying bullets.
Like a ninja in a movie, he kicked off both walls, ricocheting down the corridor. The soldier at the end kept up a wild burst of gunfire, but it was useless.
Bang! Jonathan slammed his knee into the guy’s chest, sending him flying—and he never got up again.
Jonathan took a breath and reached a big door.
"I’m at the enemy command center entrance. There are thirty-six people inside. We have to take them all down at once. The SD group likes to destroy evidence, so we can’t let them hit the self-destruct button." Jonathan steadied his breathing and ordered calmly into his mic: "Three, two, one—breach!"
Crash! Glass shattered on the other side of the door—Paladin was launching a surprise attack from another entry point. Next second, a loud explosion, and blinding light shot through the crack in the door. Even that sliver was painfully intense.
This wasn’t a regular flashbang—it was infused with Holy Light. Even with your eyes shut, you couldn’t block it.
Crunch! Jonathan kicked open the door, stormed in with a freshly acquired submachine gun. Inside, over thirty enemies clutched their eyes—some screaming, others toughing it out but still blinded.
Neither a regular flashbang nor pure Holy Light could pull this off. That’s the power of one plus one.
Bang bang bang! Jonathan fired short bursts, dropping four or five enemies with shots to the wrist or thigh—they went down howling. Out of bullets, he switched to hand-to-hand. Meanwhile, Paladin and Rachel Luo broke in from other entrances. The two sword masters unleashed their skills—no one could stand against them in close quarters.
In the blink of an eye, Rachel Luo gave Jonathan a deep look. For a 'regular' Earthling to pull this off—it made her think, made her care.
The command center fight was over in a flash.
Bang—the last enemy collapsed. Since these were command staff, they had to be kept alive.
Clack—Jonathan slapped a button on the control panel. All over the ship, alarms blared, red lights flashed, watertight and fire doors slammed shut, locking SD soldiers into tiny compartments, cutting off any reinforcements to the deck.
Jonathan let out a long, hot breath, steadying his racing heart. He turned to Paladin and Rachel Luo and said in a low voice, "We won."
