Renegotiating the Deal

The world spun wildly—the hyperspace teleportation here was even more convenient, but also way more chaotic. As an ordinary Earthling, Patrick Zade couldn’t tell the difference. Honestly, for him, there really wasn’t much of one. But Titan felt it, clear as day.

Even without knowing a lick of spatial magic, Titan could clearly feel the waves of space pushing and pulling at him. It was like gusts of wind blowing from every direction. For a regular guy like Patrick Zade, he was just a tiny speck—barely affected at all. But as one of the top eight on the Heavenly List, Titan—the so-called "God"—felt the space drag and turbulence big time.

The teleportation tunnel was protecting both of them, but it was originally designed for regular folks. Shuttling Patrick Zade—or even dozens or hundreds like him—was no problem. But sending a Titan through? That was a whole different headache.

Back in the day, the engineers never imagined weirdos like the Heavenly List’s chosen ones—these “unknowable humans”—would show up. So even though Sophia set the safety standards sky-high, this spacetime tunnel was still buckling under the strain. It was like a deep-sea tunnel suddenly crawling with cracks, looking like it might collapse any second. Titan was freaking out inside, but there was nothing he could do except wait for the ride to end.

Boom! With a thunderous sonic pop, Titan and Patrick Zade tumbled out onto the ground again. Titan patted the surface beneath him—soft yet sturdy White Element. Instantly, he felt a little better. But when he looked up, the tunnel twisted and warped at a speed you could actually see. It was like someone crushing an empty soda can, spasming and squeezing until it vanished into thin air.

"W-what do we do now?" Patrick Zade panicked. "How are we supposed to get back?" But then he glanced at Titan, whose face was as calm as a still pond. That chill attitude rubbed off on Patrick.

Yeah, seriously—this was a one-way trip, do-or-die. Why worry about going back now? Plus, this "second strongest under the heavens" probably had some secret ace up his sleeve, which explained why he was so ridiculously chill.

But... Patrick Zade's face darkened a bit. Just now, with death breathing down his neck, he’d pointed at random. Statistically, there was a one-in-three chance they'd landed in the right spot. Hopefully, this was the Port of Tomorrow. If not... Patrick started sweating.

When all your underlings, resources, and power vanish, standing next to Titan, you’ve got zero leverage. Personal safety? Yeah, good luck with that.

"Is this the Port of Tomorrow?" Titan’s focus never wavered.
