Encirclement and Ninth Royal Uncle’s Order

2/14/2026

"Eastlyn soldiers? Whose men are they?" Prince Damien of Southlyn tightened his grip around Serena Feng's throat, cutting off her air. Serena's eyes rolled back, unable to breathe.

She really was cursed. After finally persuading Prince Damien of Southlyn to give her a chance, she was thrown right into another disaster.

"Your subordinate was incompetent—we couldn't see clearly." The gray-clad man bowed his head in report.

Outside, the shouts and sounds of slaughter grew louder. Footsteps were getting closer; the attackers were powerful. The defenders in this underground palace were no match at all.

"This is bad, Third Prince—they're almost here! You must leave, Your Highness!" The man who had gone out to seize Serena Feng rushed back, his face grim after hearing the commotion.

"It was you! Serena Feng, you led them here, didn't you?" The Third Prince of Southern Lyn—this beautiful man—hoisted Serena Feng up by her neck.

Serena's feet dangled in the air, her face turning purple as she desperately shook her head.

It wasn't her—really, it wasn't her.

She could only admit: she'd been used.

Hahaha...

A flash of sadness flickered in Serena Feng's eyes. She didn't know who was using her, but she finally understood her own value.

She was just a chess piece, ready to be sacrificed at any moment.

"Not you? Hmph. If it wasn't you, how could those people have found this place so quickly? This base has been hidden in Eastlyn for decades, and the moment you arrive, Eastlyn soldiers show up. Do you take me for a fool? Even if it wasn't you, you're still involved." The Third Prince squeezed harder—Serena's vision went black, too weak to even shake her head.

"Third Prince, kill this woman and go! We'll cover your retreat!" The burly man who had seized Serena Feng spoke decisively.

"Kill her? No. I'm taking her with me—she's my life-saving charm. If they came this fast, it's because they're afraid she'll die here." The Third Prince gave a wicked smile and let go...

Thud—Serena Feng crashed to the ground, coughing violently.

Only those who have nearly suffocated know how precious it is to breathe freely. At this moment, Serena Feng couldn't think of anything else—she just gulped in air.

Madman. This Third Prince of Southern Lyn was absolutely a madman—completely unpredictable.

Frustrated, Serena Feng bowed her head. While no one was watching, she quietly opened her Smart Med-Pack, preparing to grab the handgun inside when the chance arose.

She hadn't dared to take it out before, afraid they'd search her. But if she didn't do it now, she'd die here for sure.
