Single Move Showdown

12/19/2025

Joe Di had just sat down, and as his divine sense seeped into the Starlight Array, he immediately sensed a powerful fluctuation in the spatial laws.

Although Joe Di wouldn’t claim to be the top array master in the Five Elements Universe, there were truly few who could surpass him in this field. Even with his eyes closed, he could recognize this kind of spatial fluctuation—it meant someone was using this teleportation array.

Realizing that the incoming person was likely a Creation Realm expert, Joe Di didn’t hesitate for a moment—he drew out Worldcleaver and struck down with it.

Worldcleaver, infused with the Dao resonance of Joe Di’s Grand Way, crashed down upon the Starlight Array. The flowing rules and Dao resonance on the array instantly froze, followed by a faint cracking sound. Joe Di sighed; he knew he had already destroyed this spatial teleportation array.

It was a pity—this was a top-tier, universe-level teleportation array, and he hadn’t even had a chance to study it before breaking it. If he could have spent some time deducing its workings, his mastery of arrays would surely have reached new heights.

Still, even with the teleportation laws destroyed, there might be something left for him to study.

Before Joe Di could make his next move, a wild surge of spatial power swept over him, and he found himself unable to break free. In the next instant, he was swept away by that violent spatial force.

Not good—Joe Di instantly understood what had happened. When he split the array’s formation lines, he had also transmitted himself away.

Being teleported away was one thing, but the real issue was that he hadn’t used a concealment array to hide the stone steps on the Sea of Defiance. Once cultivators from the Dao Domain arrived in the Swarmlands, they would surely discover those steps. He could only hope the Dao Domain cultivators wouldn’t tamper with the Starlight Array’s formation lines; this was a universe-level teleportation array, not something ordinary people could handle. Besides, he still hoped to repair the array one day, so Dao Domain experts could travel to the Vast Chaos and comprehend the Dao of Chaos.

......

Almost at the exact moment Joe Di split apart the starlight teleportation array, Henry Vaughn—who had just stepped into the formation—sensed the disruption. He even burned his own essence in desperation, violently tearing himself free from the array's grip and landing outside the teleportation vortex.

Unlike Joe Di, who was unable to resist the force of space teleportation and was sent away instantly, Henry Vaughn managed to break free and ended up outside the vortex of laws. His face, usually tinged with blue, now turned a dark gray.

It wasn’t the burning of his essence that made him look like this—it was pure rage.

It was obvious: just as he was about to teleport, someone on the other side sabotaged the array. If his strength hadn’t surged recently, and if he hadn’t burned his essence in time, he’d have no idea where in the cosmos he’d be sent right now.

Don’t be fooled by his status as the Dao Lord of the Trinity Universe—the so-called number one. In secret, countless cultivators refuse to acknowledge him. Leaving the Trinity Universe now would be tantamount to handing its greatest resources over to others.

Staring at the space vortex, now entirely devoid of teleportation law, Henry Vaughn realized his luck had run out. He had struggled to open a passage to the Five Elements Universe, but now it was closed once again.

He hesitated outside the teleportation vortex for a full hour before finally deciding to return to the Trinity Universe and prepare to enter the Creation Realm. Any further delay would be useless.

Judging by the timing, it should be about right. Too bad his strength still wasn’t enough.

If only Vast Chaos would break open again, just like before. Even if he couldn’t start from scratch, he could at least seize Xiang Chenchen’s Dao Platform.

Henry Vaughn shook his head, ready to leave, when suddenly a figure burst forth from the teleportation vortex.

Someone was teleported here? The thought flashed through Henry Vaughn’s mind, but he immediately understood—the one who sabotaged the array was surely this person.

Without hesitation, Henry Vaughn lunged forward, reaching for the figure emerging from the vortex. Even without exchanging blows, he could sense from the newcomer’s aura that this cultivator was at most Realm Genesis—a mere ant in his eyes.

Besides, a Realm Genesis ant emerging from a teleportation channel of this cosmic level would surely have a muddled consciousness.

Joe Di was swept up by the spatial laws, but his consciousness grew even sharper. Before he even charged out, his divine sense detected Henry Vaughn. Not only that, he realized he’d indeed been teleported into Vast Chaos.

Joe Di felt a pang of guilt—he’d promised Qin Mutian to help find the black fingernail, yet here he was, back in Vast Chaos before he’d even begun.

That guilt quickly faded as Joe Di focused on the man standing outside the vortex.

Was this man from the Trinity Universe? He had only two eyes—one blue, one red. He was tall and muscular, his skin faintly blue, and not a single hair on his head.

No, there was a third eye, though it hadn’t manifested. If Joe Di hadn’t sensed a ripple of law from the man’s forehead, he wouldn’t have noticed it.

His cultivation didn’t seem impressive—just ordinary…

But as soon as Joe Di thought this, a chill ran down his spine. This man was far from ordinary—he was the strongest cultivator Joe Di had ever encountered.

Joe Di had seen plenty of Convergence Realm cultivators, even those at peak or perfection. None of them could compare to this man.

Realizing his opponent was at the Creation Realm, Joe Di didn’t hesitate—he summoned Worldcleaver and unleashed Time’s Third Loom! Against such a powerhouse, he had to strike first; otherwise, he’d never get the chance. Friend or foe, he had to secure his own advantage.

As Joe Di unleashed Time’s Third Loom, Henry Vaughn’s hand was already reaching for him. Though Henry Vaughn struck second, his hand and Joe Di’s blade technique erupted simultaneously.

So powerful! Even before Henry Vaughn’s hand reached Joe Di, he felt a chilling pressure from the surrounding space. Clearly, the bald giant wasn’t using his full strength; otherwise, the suppression would be even greater.

Knowing he faced a Creation Realm opponent, Joe Di poured everything into Time’s Third Loom.

Blade curtains surged, vast and unstoppable, like the initial vortex of collapsing laws in this place. The momentum was fierce, sweeping up countless waterfalls of blades!

Boom! Boom! Boom! The cascade of blades slammed into Henry Vaughn’s hand seal, forming waves of blade force.

Crack… crack! The blade force kept shattering, like waves crashing against rocks, breaking into countless shards, swirling like heaps of snow.

The first to fourth blades erupted almost simultaneously, creating a continuous torrent of force. Yet all they produced were countless blade fragments, suppressed before they could take shape.

The fifth blade tried to stir up the suppressed force of the previous four, but it was just another wave crashing against the shore—only more fragments swirling in the air.

Joe Di nearly roared as he struck the sixth blade. When it landed, a towering wave of blade force slammed into Henry Vaughn’s seal, finally causing a momentary pause. Joe Di felt a rush of relief throughout his body.

Seizing that brief respite, Joe Di darted to the other side of the massive vortex. But before his feet touched the ground, the sixth blade’s wave was already shattered into fragments. At the same time, Henry Vaughn’s hand seal vanished among the ruins of blade shards.

"Oh?" Henry Vaughn exclaimed in surprise. Even without using his full strength, Joe Di’s blade had matched him blow for blow. He hadn’t moved from his spot outside the vortex, while Joe Di had just arrived, clearly at a disadvantage.

Could the Five Elements Universe really have such a formidable cultivator? Henry Vaughn quickly realized—this young man must be the one who slaughtered over a hundred Convergence Realm experts from the Trinity Universe. With this kind of strength and skill, it was entirely possible.

(That's all for today’s update. Good night, friends!)
