In that instant, Ryan Ling jumped in fright. Sure, he’s Lord Yama, but in this kind of scene, with this kind of atmosphere, when the red veil on the female corpse’s head suddenly drops—anyone would be startled! Especially since this corpse is absolutely not your run-of-the-mill variety!
Even worse, Ryan’s current strength is way too low. If this female corpse suddenly came to life, there’s a good chance he wouldn’t even be a match for her. So yeah, Ryan’s nerves are totally shot right now.
But after watching for a few seconds, the corpse didn’t react at all. Only then did Ryan slowly look at her face—and instantly, his heart skipped a beat. This corpse is drop-dead gorgeous, like top-shelf level, and her whole body feels soft and warm, nothing like a normal corpse. Even more suspicious, Ryan feels like he’s seen her somewhere before—there’s this weird sense of déjà vu!
He stared for a few more seconds before snapping back to reality. His eyes immediately darted to the bottom of the coffin—he’s just one step away from success. All he has to do is move this corpse and he’ll finally get his hands on what he came for.
"Sorry, gotta offend you for a sec!" Ryan didn’t hesitate for a moment—he reached out to pick up the corpse. But right then, an unbelievably sweet and tempting fragrance suddenly wafted from her body. It’s the kind of scent that could make your head spin, and it’s seriously seductive. Even crazier, as Ryan’s getting lured in by the scent, he thinks he feels her hand move.
"I must be seeing things!" Ryan tries to reassure himself, not overthinking it. He quickly puts all his strength into moving the corpse, and at that moment, she flops right into his arms like a sleeping beauty—he can even feel her body warmth.
But Ryan doesn’t have time to let his imagination run wild. He holds the corpse tight and starts searching the bottom of the coffin—but to his surprise, the whole bottom is completely empty. There’s absolutely nothing there!
"Could it be on her body?" Ryan freezes for a second, suddenly realizing that’s totally possible.
"Sorry, I’m about to get real disrespectful!" Ryan grits his teeth, not hesitating for a second. Time’s running out—he’s gotta move fast. He immediately starts searching all over the corpse, but after groping around for ages and basically bullying her for a good while, he comes up empty-handed. Absolutely nothing.
But right at that moment, a strange blue smoke rises from the bottom of the coffin. The smoke is super creepy—Ryan doesn’t hesitate, instantly covering his mouth and nose in case it’s poisonous. But the smoke quickly fades, and then he spots a line of words suddenly appearing at the bottom of the coffin: "If you want the treasure, you have to revive her!"
“What the...?” Ryan was at a loss for words. He totally didn’t expect there’d be another trial hidden in this mechanism. The message just said to save her, but this corpse is dead—who knows for how many years—and he had no clue how to bring her back!
Just as Ryan was racking his brain, the message at the bottom of the coffin changed again: 'The joy of union can save her!'
Ryan nearly spat blood—he was completely speechless. What the hell, does this mean he actually has to sleep with the corpse?
What kind of twisted trial is this?!
Ryan seriously wanted to hunt down whoever designed this trial and beat them up!
But just as Ryan was fuming, the message at the bottom of the coffin changed again: "Time is limited. If you don’t act, you’ll regret it for life!"
“Are you kidding me?!” Ryan was totally speechless, but he had no choice. He slowly laid the corpse flat and started undressing her, scalp tingling. Honestly, he’d been with plenty of women, but this was his first time getting intimate with a corpse!
But time was running out, and whatever was hidden under the coffin was way too important. No matter what price Ryan had to pay, as long as he got it, it’d be worth it!
He didn’t hesitate—he pressed down on her immediately!
But the moment their bodies touched, the corpse suddenly reacted—she reached out, hugged him, and even let out a moan.
Holy crap, she really came back to life!' Ryan almost screamed, but then he immediately felt her heartbeat—his movements were actually bringing her back from the dead.
Ryan wiped the sweat from his forehead, unable to believe it—sure enough, the coffin’s message was right. This trial could actually bring her back to life!
Ryan swallowed hard, wanting to stop—after all, she used to be just a corpse, so he could do whatever he wanted. But now she was coming back to life, and if he kept going, it felt like he was bullying her. He couldn’t just do that!
But just as he paused, the girl suddenly spoke up: “Don’t stop, keep going!”
As she spoke, she wrapped both arms around Ryan—and even locked her legs around him!
Damn, this is actually awesome!' Ryan’s excitement spiked, especially when he sensed the aura from under the coffin growing stronger, like something was about to burst out!
He didn’t think twice and went even harder. With the girl’s cry, a burst of golden light exploded from the coffin, and suddenly a hand shot out from the bottom. Ryan’s heart skipped a beat—this was clearly part of his own body, missing a pinky and matching the finger he’d already recovered.
“Awesome!” Ryan was over the moon—he’d only gotten a finger before and that was already a huge win. Now with a whole hand, his future prospects were even crazier!

“You’re mine!” Ryan didn’t hesitate—he flew over and grabbed the hand, instantly feeling a surge of power. With this hand, he could probably break through to Golden Immortal, though it’d take time and effort.
Just as Ryan was getting excited, the girl slowly sat up beside him, gazing at him with longing. Then she said, “Master!”
“Wait—you’re really alive?” Ryan jumped up from the ground, staring at the girl, totally lost for words.
“Sis—no, miss, I’m really sorry! But if I don’t do what the coffin says, things could get really bad…” Ryan was so flustered he could barely get the words out.
But before he could finish, the girl called out again, “Master!”
Ryan finally understood—she was calling him Master!
“You’re calling me Master? Do I really know you?” Ryan was stunned. He felt like he’d seen her somewhere before but couldn’t remember. Hearing her say that, he realized there must be some connection between them.
“Master, Lily searched so long for you. You’re finally back, I’m so happy!” The resurrected girl collapsed into Ryan’s arms, crying. Ryan hugged her tight, suddenly struck by how adorable she was—like a little sprite.
“Alright, what’s really going on here? Can you explain it to me?” After Lily cried for a while, Ryan pulled her away—he needed to know who he was in his past life, what connection he had to the Immortal World, and who was responsible for casting him down. These questions had haunted him for ages, and he still didn’t even know who his enemy was…
