The Downfall of the Gu Family

1/4/2026

"Eat with me." With these words, Charles Yin was telling Cecilia Gu, in his own way, that he hadn’t had breakfast yet.

The reason he rushed back so quickly was simply to have breakfast with Cecilia Gu.

A group of people entered from the doorway, and upon seeing Cecilia Gu, they bowed respectfully: "Young Madam!"

Cecilia Gu nodded in response.

As soon as they came in, everyone began working in an orderly fashion.

Some tidied up the room, some started cooking, others adjusted the water temperature for Charles Yin’s bath.

"I’ll tidy up first, then you’ll eat with me later." Charles Yin let go of Cecilia Gu’s hand, completely ignoring Jenny Gu in the room.

Jenny Gu was left stunned.

That man was like a god!

In every way—appearance, aura, everything—he was absolutely flawless.

But this perfect man, his eyes only held Cecilia Gu.

Alex didn’t wait for Cecilia Gu to speak and sent Jenny Gu away directly: "Sorry, the CEO and Young Madam have things to discuss. If Young Madam wants to see you, I’ll let you know!"

Jenny Gu wanted to stay, but when she met Alex’s threatening gaze, she shivered, grabbed the few hundred yuan Cecilia Gu had given her, and dragged her suitcase out in defeat.

Charles Yin moved quickly.

The kitchen staff moved just as fast.

By the time Charles Yin came out of the bathroom, a steaming hot breakfast was already set out on the table again.

Cecilia Gu was pulled to sit beside him and watched as Charles Yin ate breakfast.

Even though he was starving, his eating manners were still impeccably elegant.

"Aren’t you eating?" Charles Yin looked up at Cecilia Gu.

"I just finished. You should’ve said something earlier. I could’ve waited and eaten with you." Cecilia Gu replied gloomily. If only she’d known to wait, she wouldn’t have spent so long here.

Hearing Cecilia Gu’s reply, Charles Yin interpreted it differently, and a smile he couldn’t hide spread across his face: "Mm, I wanted to surprise you."

Surprise? More like a shock!

Suddenly, someone had rushed in from the doorway and hugged her. If he hadn’t spoken, she would’ve hit him!

Cecilia Gu was still worried about Jenny Gu and said to Charles Yin, "After breakfast, you should get some sleep."

"Okay." Charles Yin raised an eyebrow slightly. "By the way, where’s Helen Gu?"

Cecilia Gu glanced at the tightly closed door and sighed, "Helen Gu is probably upset. It’s fine, I’ll talk to her."

Charles Yin only had to think for a moment to understand what had happened, so he just nodded.

After breakfast, Charles Yin really did go back to his room to rest.

Cecilia Gu went to the living room and called Alex over: "Where did Jenny Gu end up staying?"

Alex lowered his voice and replied, "She’s staying at a small hotel across the street."

Cecilia Gu nodded.

Alex quickly added, "That place really isn’t suitable for Young Madam. If you want to meet her, it’s better to arrange it somewhere else."

Cecilia Gu thought about it and agreed.

She was pregnant now, so she couldn’t go to places that were too chaotic.

"Alex, help me arrange to meet Jenny Gu." Cecilia Gu said quietly, "Don’t disturb Charles Yin."

What she really meant was not to let Charles Yin find out, or he’d definitely stop her from seeing Jenny Gu.

But her words were pretty ambiguous.

Anyone who heard would think she was just being considerate of Charles Yin.

While Alex contacted Jenny Gu, Cecilia Gu had already changed her clothes.

Young Madam, the meeting is set for a tea house at the entrance of the complex. It’s quiet there." Alex reported softly, "For safety, you should bring two people with you."
