A Group of Familiar Yet Strange People

The Devil Realm cultivators discussed Evan Yang for quite a while. Seeing there was nothing new, Evan got up and left.

Leaving the inn, Evan Yang headed outside the city. After thinking it over, he realized there was nothing left to do and prepared to leave the Devil Realm. But just as he took a few steps, someone behind him shouted, "Stop!"

Evan Yang looked at the person suspiciously and exclaimed, "It's you?"

"So it really is you, Evan Yang! I thought I was seeing things, but I actually ran into you here." The speaker was none other than Demoncloud Demon Lord, who had escaped back to the Devil Realm years ago.

After the war between the Immortal Realm and Devil Realm ended, Demoncloud returned to Demon Mountain. He spent some time recuperating there, then left to wander the Devil Realm, searching for items he needed.

"I didn't expect to run into Demoncloud Demon Lord here either," Evan Yang replied.

"I really didn't expect it. I thought you were dead, but it turns out you're alive—this is definitely going to cause a stir. Evan Yang, you really are impossible to kill. I'm going to report to Demon Sovereign Titus Skyflood right away." With that, Demoncloud flashed away.

Seeing him leave, Evan Yang didn't chase after him. Even if he did, he might run into Titus Skyflood, so he chose not to pursue and instead decided to leave.

After leaving, Evan Yang picked a safe spot, used the Realm-Shuttle Pen to gather power, and then departed the Devil Realm.

Meanwhile, at Demon Mountain, Titus Skyflood had assumed Evan Yang was almost certainly dead. But when he heard Demoncloud's report, he could hardly believe Evan was still alive—and even appeared in front of everyone.

Evan Yang was shocked. Could it be Lucia Heartless and her group? But their strength shouldn't be enough to make the Immortal Realm Alliance stand aside.

Thinking that an even more terrifying force had surrounded the Yang clan, Evan Yang couldn't sit still. An ominous feeling rose in his heart, and he vanished in a flash.

Seeing how fast Evan Yang moved, the person was stunned, feeling he'd just encountered a terrifying expert.

'Who was that just now?' the person wondered. The others also looked shocked, realizing they'd let a powerful expert leave.

Evan Yang soon arrived at the perimeter of the Yang clan, seeing several places guarded by powerful experts—each at Immortal Sovereign level or higher, and one whose aura matched the Alliance Leader.

A few people waited quietly outside the exit. Those inside couldn't get out, and those outside couldn't get in.

'Who are these people?' Evan Yang wondered.

Nearby, Evan Yang quickly recognized another group—they were Immortal Realm Alliance members. He flashed over to them.

When they saw Evan Yang, the group looked shocked.

'You—you are Evan Yang?' one person asked, fearfully.

'Hmm, what exactly is going on?' Evan Yang asked, puzzled.

'Let's go. The Alliance Leader ordered that if we heard anything about you, we should bring you to him immediately,' the person said.

Evan Yang knew only the Alliance Leader could explain why the Yang clan was surrounded. He vanished in a flash, heading for the Immortal Realm Alliance.

The Alliance Leader of the Immortal Realm was troubled—he didn't have enough power to confront the group outside the Yang clan.

As he was pondering what to do, news arrived about Evan Yang.

The Alliance Leader didn't hesitate; he immediately went out to greet Evan Yang, who soon appeared.

'What's going on?' Evan Yang asked as soon as he arrived.

'It's a long story—come with me,' the Alliance Leader said.

Evan Yang followed the Alliance Leader into the mountain where he usually cultivated. Inside, the Alliance Leader said, "You've seen those people outside, right?" "Yes, each one radiates powerful energy," Evan Yang replied.

'Those people are here for you, did you know?' the Alliance Leader said.

Alliance Leader, do you know who these people are?' Evan Yang asked.

'I don't know, but I can guess,' the Alliance Leader replied.

'Go on,' Evan Yang urged, eager to know.

The Alliance Leader explained, "They all have one thing in common—they use fire attributes, and each is very strong. In the Immortal Realm, only one place has such power: the Fire Temple."

As he was pondering what to do, news arrived about Evan Yang.

'What? It's them?' Evan Yang exclaimed in shock.

He hadn't expected the people from the Fire Temple to show up—something he never imagined.

'You know them?' the Alliance Leader asked, seeing Evan Yang's expression.

'I know them, but I didn't expect they'd come so soon,' Evan Yang said, frowning.

'What's really going on?' the Alliance Leader pressed. With such a terrifying force in the Immortal Realm, chaos was inevitable sooner or later.

Evan Yang explained, and when the Alliance Leader heard about the Fire Temple master’s rebellion, he frowned. "I didn’t expect something like this to happen in the Fire Temple. Looks like chaos is coming."

'Why?' Evan Yang asked.

I’ve always said every temple has terrifying power—even a graveyard for Immortal Sovereigns. Now they’re meddling in Immortal Realm affairs, coming for you. You’re important to them, so they must capture you. Why now? It’s probably because you destroyed the gate between Immortal and Devil Realms, drawing their attention. They found the Yang clan and surrounded them, for one purpose: to force you to appear. If they want to annihilate the Yang clan, it’ll be real trouble.

Damn, that Fire Temple master is ruthless—still chasing me. Evan Yang knew the situation was exposed; escaping unscathed was unlikely, and it might involve the whole Immortal Realm.

Evan Yang told the Alliance Leader, "I’ll handle this myself. Have your people withdraw. If the Fire Temple really goes mad, the whole Alliance won’t escape. If chaos erupts, it won’t just be the Devil Realm—it’ll be internal chaos in the Immortal Realm."

The Alliance Leader knew this, so he pondered, "Can you handle it?"

Yes, leave it to me. I started this, so I should finish it,' Evan Yang said, knowing it was time to end things.

The Alliance Leader looked at Evan Yang and said, "If you need help, just ask."

Thanks,' Evan Yang replied, then turned and left for the Yang clan. He needed to make sure the Yang clan was safe, and then lure the attackers away.

After all, the longer this group stayed in the Immortal Realm, the longer instability would persist.

Evan Yang quickly returned to the Yang clan. Seeing those people, he created a clone, which called out to the Fire Temple group, "Aren’t you looking for me?"

When the group saw Evan Yang, they were overjoyed. They’d waited endlessly, forbidden to leave until he appeared, so they didn’t hesitate.

Seeing Evan Yang was their biggest success, so they rushed forward, while the real Evan Yang snuck into the Yang clan from behind.

Evan Yang’s clone continued to distract the group, while he entered the Yang clan. The family had gathered on a planet, worried he’d be caught. Seeing Evan Yang, they joyfully surrounded him.

"Han, are you alright?" Evan Yang’s mother asked, excited.

Evan Yang’s father was delighted, and Yang Ming and the others greeted him warmly. Seeing so many relatives, Evan Yang smiled, "I’m fine. It’s you all I’ve troubled."

Don’t say that. We’re ready—if we hear news of you, we’ll head to the Star-Space World," Yang Ming, head of the family, said.

Evan Yang thought of the Star-Space World, a place even Immortal Sovereigns couldn’t easily enter. He relaxed, "You should go there first. If they find me here, they’ll come in, and it’ll be trouble."

What about you?' Evan Yang’s mother asked, worried.

Mom, I have more important things to do. Don’t worry—your son is tough. If I could break the gate between the Immortal and Devil Realms, this is nothing,' Evan Yang said with a smile.

Evan Yang quickly returned to the Yang clan. Seeing those people, he created a clone, which called out to the Fire Temple group, "Aren’t you looking for me?"
