A Young Girl's Kindness

Charlie Thompson lowered his head, caught in intense inner conflict.

On one hand, he knew it was wrong to scheme against Jill Evans, and besides, he liked Lingdang; but on the other hand, the family's situation was truly unbearable. Once Madeline Quinn gave birth to a son, mother and child would really have no way out.

Either way, he was in a dilemma.

The mother and son were talking when they heard Hannah Lee and Jill Evans' laughter from afar.
