Death Duel at Tribulation King Stage

12/19/2025

"You're actually a Ninth-Rank Grand Arraymaster?" Paul Chi stared at Joe Di in shock.

Dense spiritual energy spilled out, but Joe Di had no patience for Paul Chi's chatter. He patted Paul Chi on the shoulder and said, "If you have nothing else to do while I cultivate, stay at the entrance and keep watch for me. That way, you won't get killed by that Arthur King fellow out of nowhere."

With those words, Joe Di strode into the depths of King's Forge, leaving Paul Chi standing alone, bewildered in the wind.

No matter what backing Joe Di might have, he was still just a Soul Origin cultivator. For someone at the Soul Origin Stage to casually pat a True Transformation Stage expert on the shoulder and speak so matter-of-factly—any True Transformation cultivator would find it hard to accept.

But when Paul Chi thought of his own life, he had no choice but to accept it, even if it felt wrong. After all, he had no powerful backing—Joe Di's was far stronger than his.

......

As soon as Joe Di entered King's Forge, waves of dense spiritual energy swept over him, filling his heart with joy. Ever since he could remember cultivating, he had never trained in such a rich spiritual environment.

Inside Arthur King's cultivation chamber, a shielding array locked down two Prime Ley Lines. Joe Di walked over and, without hesitation, kicked at the array. In that instant, it was as if space itself vanished before him.

A massive footprint appeared before the shielding array, and with a thunderous crack, the two Prime Ley Lines were exposed.

Yet Joe Di paid no attention to the two Prime Ley Lines. Instead, he stared in delight at his own foot—the giant footprint, his newest divine ability.

Paul Chi shuddered in fright. He instinctively turned around and saw a bald man whose face radiated murderous intent. Even though he was still laughing wildly, his eyes held nothing but killing intent.

"Master King..." Paul Chi's heart sank. Joe Di's backup hadn't arrived yet, and Arthur King had returned two days early.

It wasn't just Arthur King. Standing beside him were several people Paul Chi recognized: Domain Lord Yu Jingzhou of Mad Domain, Half-Step Domain Seeker Fang Quan, and Ding Bai, a Transforming True Stage expert.

"Steward Paul, you've truly disappointed me..." Yu Jingzhou shook his head, his tone full of disappointment. Paul Chi could be hot-tempered at times, but in truth, he was extremely perceptive—he always knew when to act with fury and when to proceed with caution, better than anyone. He was usually meticulous, leaving no loose ends. Yet today, he'd made such a grave mistake.

Who was Arthur King? Even Yu Jingzhou wouldn't dare offend him lightly, and yet Paul Chi had not only crossed Arthur King, but also come to rob his cultivation chamber. Was he tired of living?

Paul Chi had already calmed down. He took a deep breath and said, "I didn't kill Gavin King. But I know—even if I hadn't, Arthur King would still kill me."

Yu Jingzhou's face darkened with anger. He snorted, and a Tribulation King Stage cultivator behind him dragged a long-haired youth before Paul Chi. With a flick of his hand, the Tribulation King tossed the youth onto the ground.

"It's you?" Paul Chi recognized him immediately. The long-haired youth was the one who had been with Joe Di earlier, apparently named Simon Su.

Yu Jingzhou's voice was icy as he said, "I thought you had potential and was ready to ask Brother King to spare you. But you disappointed me—you even dared to ransack Brother King's King's Forge. You're bold, but I can't afford to keep someone like you around."

Paul Chi finally understood—he'd miscalculated. He hadn't expected Yu Jingzhou to plead on his behalf before Arthur King. If he'd known, he wouldn't have...

As Paul Chi thought this through, he realized his mistake. Yu Jingzhou was only saying nice things—if he'd really waited here with Joe Di for Arthur King, Yu Jingzhou would still have killed him. Those words weren't meant for Paul Chi, but for others present. Yu Jingzhou's disappointment was genuine, but it was only because Paul Chi had gone too far and affected the relationship between Yu Jingzhou and Arthur King. After all, Paul Chi was Yu Jingzhou's subordinate.

"Daoist Joe..." Paul Chi called out urgently.

"Daoist Paul, there's no need to call out. So many people have come here, dragging my friend to crash my secluded cultivation. I'm not blind." Joe Di's voice rang out as he walked over.

The moment Arthur King saw Joe Di, his gaze narrowed, fixed on Joe Di's chest with a flash of fanaticism in his eyes.

Joe Di instantly understood what was happening—the King father and son were clearly sensitive to his jade. Otherwise, no one else would have noticed, yet the King family had detected something unusual.

Arthur King's gaze burned with desire for the jade at Joe Di's chest, but Joe Di paid it no mind and walked over to Simon Su.

"Joe, I'm ashamed. I tried to leave but couldn't, so I decided to stay and be reckless with you." Simon Su managed a weak smile, then coughed up several mouthfuls of blood, clearly having suffered greatly after being captured.

"Who hurt you?" Joe Di asked.

"Your ancestor..." The Tribulation King Stage cultivator who had grabbed Simon Su roared angrily. To him, Joe Di was just another Tribulation King ant, no different from himself.

If he'd known that just ten days ago, Joe Di was still a Soul Foundation Stage ant, he might not have spoken so arrogantly.

Without hesitation, Joe Di reached out to grab him. The Tribulation King cultivator sneered, thinking that someone with the same cultivation as himself dared to grab him so brazenly. Did Joe Di take him for a mere Qi Refining ant?

He activated his spiritual sense, ready to summon his artifact and break Joe Di's hands. But in the next instant, terror filled his eyes—his entire body was bound by Joe Di's grip, leaving him utterly unable to move.

Joe Di's hand clamped around his neck, lifting him like a chick. With a swing, Joe Di hurled the Tribulation King expert, smashing him onto the distant black stone floor.

Boom! Everyone was stunned—a late-stage Tribulation King expert had been picked up and smashed into a pulp by another Tribulation King cultivator.
