Six-Eared Macaque panicked and tried to flee, but at such close range, Monkey didn’t even give him time to react. One hand had already clamped firmly onto Six-Eared Macaque’s shoulder.

In this moment, Six-Eared Macaque—who had been so arrogant just a heartbeat ago—was now pale with terror, so shaken that he forgot to seize the opening Monkey had revealed while attacking.

“Your cultivation really isn’t much different from mine. If you walked the Sage’s Path, I suppose you’d be a real challenge.” Monkey grinned, his gaze growing increasingly fierce. “Too bad you’re on the Traveler’s Path—the one that relies most on the physical body.”

As he spoke, Monkey unleashed a surge of spiritual power, steadily pushing Six-Eared Macaque closer and closer to the vast ocean below.

The fingers clamped on Six-Eared Macaque’s shoulder sank effortlessly into his body. If he had a normal flesh-and-blood form, he’d surely be bleeding by now. But Six-Eared Macaque had no blood—beneath that lifelike fur, there was only more fur.

“What are you doing? What are you doing?” Six-Eared Macaque shrieked in alarm.

“What do you think?” Monkey replied, grinning mischievously as he kept applying pressure. “I can feel it—your whole body’s just fur, isn’t it? If I tear open a few gaps and soak you in seawater, what do you think will happen?”

“You!”

At those words, Six-Eared Macaque’s face turned from pale to purple.

What would happen if a body made of fur was soaked in water? Monkey didn’t need to say it—Six-Eared Macaque already knew.
