Those With Sense Should Not Make Us Angry

Brandon Nangong waved his hand, and the ancient-looking box landed in his palm. Holding it with both hands, he presented it to Ian Song with a smile. "Brother Song, this is a token of my sincerity. Please, you must accept it."

"What is it?" Ian Song asked with a smile, taking the box.

"Why not open it and see for yourself, Brother Song?" Brandon Nangong replied, a hint of pride showing in his brows.

Ian Song opened the box. Inside was a short cyan sword, about a foot long, with a thumb-sized transparent gem set in the hilt. The blade was thin and razor-sharp, but a restriction seal suppressed its aura for now, so its grade couldn't be discerned.

"Why not try removing the restriction, Brother Song?" Brandon Nangong urged again.

"Alright."

Ian Song nodded. The restriction on the sword wasn't complicated; even someone unfamiliar with seals could break it by force.

He formed a spell formula and sent it into the sword, causing the restriction to vanish. Instantly, a shockingly sharp sword aura burst out from the short blade.

"What a sword!" Jasper Easton couldn't help but exclaim.

With the restriction seal gone, the sword's aura was now fully exposed. Ian Song instantly recognized it as a ninth-grade spirit sword—except the aura it gave off made him suspect this was no ordinary ninth-grade weapon.

"What's the story behind this sword?"

Ian Song picked up the short sword, but sensed that it was actually resisting him, as if it wanted to break free and fly out of his hand.

Brandon Nangong smiled, "Sharp eyes, Brother Song. This sword is called the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword—it was once the personal weapon of the Azureglass Immortal!"

"No way, it's actually the Azureglass Immortal's sword!"

Jasper Easton and the others were visibly stunned and amazed when they heard this.

"Is the Azureglass Immortal really that famous?" Ian Song asked, a bit puzzled.

"I know this one!"

Warren Wei jumped in, "They say the Azureglass Immortal was the greatest sword immortal after the Black-White Sword Immortal. This Azure Flood-Dragon Sword was forged after he entered the Ten-Yao Continent, slew a Tribulation-realm flood dragon, and refined its horn into the blade. That feat provoked a joint manhunt by Ten-Yao powerhouses, but he still managed to escape! But here's the thing—everyone says the Azureglass Immortal loved this sword and never let it out of his sight, so how did it end up with Young Master Nangong?"

"That's only part of the story!" Jasper Easton cut in. "The Azureglass Immortal was unmatched in battle—he escaped Ten-Yao Continent, but suffered serious hidden injuries. Before those wounds healed, his Heavenly Tribulation struck. If he hadn't been injured, he could've survived it easily, but in the end, he died to the final tribulation bolt. Such a pity!"

"That's right!" Brandon Nangong chimed in again. "The Azureglass Immortal was destroyed by the final heavenly lightning—his soul scattered, and all his spirit artifacts and Storage Rings were obliterated. Only the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword survived, absorbing a trace of tribulation lightning and advancing from eighth-grade to ninth-grade. Afterward, it was stored in the Imperial Treasure Vault, and later the Empress gifted it to my father. But as high-grade as this sword is, only a true sword cultivator can unlock its full power. After I saw Brother Song's swordsmanship, I begged my father to let me give it to you!"

"A gentleman doesn't take what another man loves—besides, this sword is far too precious. Brother Nangong, you should keep it!"

Ian Song put the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword back in the box and handed it to Brandon Nangong.

Seeing this, Brandon Nangong tensed up, then pretended to be annoyed, "Brother Song, a treasure sword deserves a hero! If it stays with my father, it's wasted. Only a sword-dao expert like you can bring out its true potential. If you really consider me a friend, please accept the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword!"

"Uh..."

Ian Song looked uncertain.

"Brother Song, Brandon's being sincere—just accept it!" Jasper Easton urged.

"Yeah, Brother Song, take it. Don't let Brother Nangong's goodwill go to waste!" Victor Xing, the youngest grandson of Minister Xing, added.

Then Leo Lu, the youngest son of Censor Lu, and Paul Zhou, second son of Vice-Minister Zhou, also spoke up, hoping Ian Song would accept the sword.

A good sword would be a huge boost to Ian Song's strength.

Previously, Ian Song had obtained the Black-White Sword Immortal's Ink-Black Sword, but to avoid the Prime One Church, he had to let it fall into their hands. The Azure Flood-Dragon Sword was every bit its equal, so of course he was tempted.

But since the sword was a gift from Brandon Nangong, Ian knew that such a generous present must come with strings attached—that was why he initially refused.

Now, seeing everyone urging him, he really couldn't refuse any longer. He nodded, "Alright then, I'll accept it. Thank you, Brother Nangong!"

"No problem! Let's keep drinking!" Brandon Nangong waved it off, showing no regret at giving away such a treasure.

While Ian Song and the others were feasting at the Hai-Sky Pavilion, a dust-covered spirit-beast carriage, driven by an old servant, quietly entered the imperial capital.

"Princess, should we head straight home, or to the Hai-Sky Pavilion?" the old servant turned and asked in a low voice to the person inside.

Inside the carriage sat a woman in green, cradling a long sword. She looked to be in her early thirties, her expression cool and distant, eyes closed as she leaned against the wall, seemingly asleep.

Hearing the servant's question, the woman opened her eyes, a hint of nostalgia appearing on her face. "It's been more than thirty years since I tasted the Hai-Sky Pavilion's seafood. I miss it—let's go there!"

"Yes, it's been over thirty years since we returned to the capital!"

The old servant sighed softly and drove the spirit-beast carriage straight to the Hai-Sky Pavilion.

Half an hour later, the spirit-beast carriage arrived at the Hai-Sky Pavilion.

The old servant thoughtfully opened the door. The Green-Robe Woman stepped down, sword in hand, and strode toward the Hai-Sky Pavilion, with the servant bowing slightly and following behind.

"Sorry, but the Hai-Sky Pavilion has been fully booked for the day. Please come again another time!" The attendant at the door stopped them, speaking politely.

Hearing this, the Green-Robe Woman frowned slightly, then sighed, "Forget it. We'll come another day."

"Princess, shall I..."

"No need. Let's go home," the Green-Robe Woman interrupted, turning to leave.

Just then, a group descended from the second floor—it was Ian Song and his companions.

The Green-Robe Woman, who had been about to leave, suddenly turned and locked her gaze on the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword in Ian Song's hand.

"Why is the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword in your possession?"

A sharp light flashed in the Green-Robe Woman's eyes as she demanded coldly.

"What does that have to do with you?" Brandon Nangong retorted before Ian could answer.

"Answer me!"

She ignored Brandon Nangong completely, keeping her eyes fixed on Ian Song. At the same time, a powerful aura surged from her, locking onto Ian.

Feeling the woman's overwhelming presence, Brandon Nangong and the others were all taken aback.

But realizing she was blatantly ignoring him, Brandon Nangong grew irritated and snapped, "What business is it of yours that Brother Song accepted the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword? If you know what's good for you, get lost—don't make us angry!"
