------------
At this moment, Martin Yang and his two bodyguards were hiding in the valley. They weren’t far from Shawn Young and Jade Swann. Worried that something might happen to Shawn, Martin Yang hadn’t dared to actually leave. If the Hung Society started asking questions, he couldn’t bear that responsibility. Although he had the title of 'Boss Yang' and looked impressive in public, there were plenty of people like him in the Hung Society—the largest Chinese syndicate around, with power that was nothing to scoff at.
But Martin Yang and his men also knew that going out wouldn’t help; they’d only get in Shawn’s way. So they waited in the valley, not daring to retreat for real. Only after the fierce sound of magical combat outside died down and everything grew quiet again, did they wait a while longer. When no other sounds came, Martin Yang, now anxious, waved to his two bodyguards, "Let’s go, let’s see what’s going on out there!" He grabbed his weapon and hurried toward the valley’s exit.
"Uh—Boss, are we really going out now?" One of the bodyguards was still shaken by what he’d just seen outside the valley and nervously asked Martin Yang.
"Yes! We have to go. If anything happens to Senior Shawn, I can’t take that responsibility!" Martin Yang answered urgently as he walked out.
The two bodyguards quickly followed Martin Yang out of the valley. As the three stepped outside, they unexpectedly saw a headless corpse lying in a pile of rocks in the distance, surrounded by blood and gore. The three rushed over and recognized it as the remains of Grandmaster Zenith. Oddly enough, Shawn Young and Jade Swann were nowhere to be seen.
"Huh? That’s strange. Where did Senior Shawn go?" Martin Yang was puzzled.
"Uh—Boss, Senior Shawn was always with his girlfriend!" one of the bodyguards reminded him.
"Yeah, that’s right. But now that the sorcerer’s been killed, how come they’re gone? Where could they have gone?" Martin Yang scratched his head, still unable to figure it out.
Just then, the other bodyguard suddenly perked up his ears, pointed toward a big rock not far away, and said, "Uh—over there behind that big stone, I think—I think there’s something moving!"
Martin Yang and the other bodyguard fell silent and listened closely. Sure enough, they heard some strange, faint noises coming from behind the big rock not far away. The three of them couldn’t figure out what was happening and exchanged confused glances. After a moment, Martin Yang broke the silence, "Let’s carefully get closer and check it out. Remember, be careful!"
"Got it!" The two bodyguards nodded, nervously raising their guns and guarding Martin Yang on both sides as the three cautiously approached the giant rock.
"Oh—oh—ah—ah—mm—yes—harder—more—oh—so good—" Strange banging sounds and Jade Swann’s intoxicating moans drifted from behind the rock. The three men heard it loud and clear, and exchanged glances again. Being adults, they knew exactly what those sounds meant.
"Uh—Boss, that female voice, it—it sounds like Senior Shawn’s girlfriend—" one of the bodyguards whispered to Martin Yang.
"Yeah, yeah—looks like Senior Shawn is discussing something secret with her. We—we’d better not disturb them!" Martin Yang nodded and turned to leave.
"Oh, Boss, are we really not going to check? What if—" the other bodyguard asked, confused.
Martin Yang turned and glared at him, muttering under his breath, "Charlie, you blockhead! Didn’t you hear Senior Shawn is having a deep discussion with his girlfriend? Even I’m not qualified to know about such important matters. You want to die or something!? Get back—now!"
"Oh, oh! Got it, got it—" Charlie snapped out of it, blushing hard as he followed Martin Yang back into the valley.
The action behind the rock was still going strong. After another half hour or so, a flurry of frantic banging and Jade Swann’s incoherent screams rang out. Finally, with a muffled roar from Shawn Young, a few birds perched on nearby trees took flight in fright. Soon, apart from the gentle panting of a man and a woman, everything was quiet again.
After a while, Martin Yang and the others, bored from waiting in the valley, finally saw Shawn Young walk in bare-chested, with Jade Swann beside him. Jade wore Shawn’s oversized shirt draped down to her knees, showing off her perfect, pale legs. Her feet were in heavy combat boots, hair messy and draped over her shoulders, cheeks flushed, and her curvy figure still radiating that post-romp glow. Even the jaded Martin Yang and his men couldn’t help but stare.
"Uh—have you guys been here the whole time?" Shawn Young was surprised to see Martin Yang and the others waiting.
"Yeah, yeah, we were worried about you, Senior Shawn, so we never left! Senior Shawn—are you guys done with your, uh, busy business now?" Martin Yang asked with a double meaning, sneaking a glance at Jade Swann.
Jade Swann’s face instantly turned red and she looked away, while Shawn Young blushed, realizing that Martin Yang and the others must’ve heard all the noise he and Jade made while "doing the deed." Not wanting to dwell on it, he quickly said, "Oh! Oh! We’re done! That old Grandmaster Zenith is history!"
"Oh, that’s great! So, Senior Shawn, what’s our next move?" Martin Yang quickly asked.
"Uh—of course we stick to the original plan—by the way, what happened to those Kachin soldiers?" Shawn Young asked.
"They’ve pulled back, probably returned to their base camp. But don’t worry, I’ll contact General Mason and get us more men! Right now, though, his main force is busy wiping out Nick Carter’s remaining troops, so we might not get many reinforcements." Martin Yang explained.
"Okay, sounds good. Here’s what I think—we change the plan and just charge ahead, take Nick Carter’s main base first!" Shawn Young said after a moment’s thought. After all, the mission was basically accomplished—he’d rescued Jade Swann, just as he’d been secretly assigned to do.
"Alright, we’ll follow Senior Shawn’s lead! But—this time, we use only our own people!" Martin Yang and his men perked up. Martin Yang knew Nick Carter’s base was heavily fortified and well-armed, and the Kachin fighters wouldn’t be able to take it easily. But if they did, the power balance in Northern Myanmar would shift, and whoever gained the most in this war would have the most say afterward. Martin Yang had plenty of hidden strength in the region, and with the Hung Society backing him, he wasn’t about to let the Kachin fighters take all the credit!
