Riding a Bamboo Horse, Green Plums Boil the Wine (Part Three)
Aaron Shore walked away, his clothes soaked and dripping as he headed back, leaving Dorian "Beanie" Owen standing dumbly in place...
Beanie fumed and cursed for ages all by himself, then flopped to the ground, out of energy: "I'm so tired!"
Seriously, so tired...
He'd been climbing walls and jumping into water all day—no wonder he was exhausted!
But that wasn't even the worst part. The hardest thing was yelling insults...
He'd just spent ages hurling curses, and it really wore him out. But the person he was yelling at didn't react at all.
"It must be because I'm too adorable. He was so embarrassed after being scolded by me that he slunk off in shame." Beanie sat on the ground, thinking very seriously, and the more he thought about it, the more convinced he became.
"I just knew everyone loves me—people, flowers, you name it. Master says there's not a single person in the Assassin Alliance who doesn't like me. That cool kid is definitely no exception." Beanie was completely self-satisfied, and besides, he even had witnesses, right?
"Hahaha! Since that brat likes me so much, I'll be merciful and go easy on him next time we fight." The more Beanie thought about it, the happier he got. In his mind, he was already picturing himself pinning the brat to the ground and pummeling him while the kid begged for mercy...
"I'm just too kind," Beanie sighed to himself, then climbed to his feet and dusted off his clothes—only to find...
He wasn't just dusty—he was covered in mud from head to toe.
His soaked clothes stuck right to him, and the mud clung to the fabric. When he tried to brush it off, both hands just got even dirtier.
Beanie grimaced in disgust and scrubbed at his clothes until his hands were finally clean. Only then was he satisfied.
"Time to head back!" Beanie cheered, but just as he was about to take a step, a big problem hit him—where was he supposed to go?
Just now, when he spun and counted, he ended up at the pond. But the water looked way too deep—there was no way he could swim across!
"If I can't go through the pond, then where do I go?" Beanie stared blankly at the sky, totally lost...
Waaah, Master, I'm lost! Please come find me!
Master, if you don't come soon, your adorable disciple won't make it back.
Master, if you still can't find me, someone's going to kidnap your cute apprentice.
