Riding a Donkey on the Fragrant-Grass Road

Qin Mu taught Yu Tianzun how to refine spirit pills. Yu Tianzun learned quickly but lacked control over his vital energy, blowing up the furnace several times and ending up covered in soot.

Qin Mu didn't mind; when he learned alchemy from the Apothecary, he too blew up countless furnaces.

More and more demigods rushed from all over the Primordial Realm, sensing Earth Mother Yuanjun's summons. Qin Mu grew increasingly grave—the number of demigods was immense. Apparently, those buried and sealed with Earth Mother Yuanjun back then were not just her.

"The Shanghuang Era was the longest after the Dragon-Han Era, and its mysteries are no less than those of the Dragon-Han Era."

At last, they reached a vast, ancient battlefield. Before Qin Mu could take a closer look, a loud braying sounded behind them, sharp and jarring.

"A donkey demigod?"

Qin Mu turned and saw a gray donkey with long ears, carrying a young scholar who swayed as he rode.

The young scholar wore a feather fan and silk cap, looking elegant. He sat sideways on the donkey, holding a fishing rod with a carrot dangling in front of the donkey.

The donkey stared at the carrot, ignoring the road ahead, stumbling forward and braying in frustration at not being able to eat it.

"Ten illnesses in spring, nine from wine; in March, barely two days are clear. Tomorrow I'll ride my donkey on a fragrant path, listening to orioles among the green willows."
