Rumored Male Lead
The Lin Family's carriage stopped in front of their new home. Simon Yu hopped off and glanced over to see several carriages parked by the gate of Prince of Qin's Manor not far away.
Lin Residence and Prince of Qin's Manor were on the same street, with their main gates aligned and only a few steps separating them.
At this moment, Alexander Hayes and Su Li had already entered the manor. The carriages at the gate were delivering the last batch of items, and Sean Hayes was busy directing the moving crew.
As soon as Simon Yu got off the carriage and saw Sean Hayes, he let out a little yelp, quickly pulled up his sleeve to cover his face, and darted into Lin Residence like a streak of smoke—terrified that the troublemaker would spot him and stir up drama again.
"Simon Yu, your master hasn't even entered the house yet. Why are you in such a hurry?" The Medical Sage stepped down from the carriage unhurriedly, catching sight of Simon Yu’s sneaky attempt to escape and called out to him.
With the Medical Sage’s voice, everyone’s attention landed on Simon Yu—even the guards of Prince of Qin’s Manor glanced over.
The guards at Prince of Qin’s Manor were now all members of the Hayes Family Shadow Guard. When they saw who it was, they exclaimed, Oh wow, isn’t that Commander Sean? No, wait, he’s not the commander anymore.
Isn’t that Brother Sean Hayes’s rumored lover—the young master Simon Yu!
Suddenly, everyone’s gaze shifted, and several mischievous guards even whistled at Simon Yu, greeting him with exaggeratedly suggestive expressions: "Good day, Young Master Simon Yu! Fancy seeing you again! You and our Brother Sean Hayes really are fated to meet!"
Listening to their voices, Simon Yu felt something was off—why did they sound so sarcastic? He shot Sean Hayes a fierce glare, thinking to himself that this troublemaker must have been spreading rumors about him again. Nothing good ever comes of it.
Sean Hayes was completely baffled—he hadn't started any new rumors! He was just trying to finish his work quickly so he could see Mrs. Penny. He shouted, "Why are you all slacking off? Hurry up and move these things! Be careful—these betrothal gifts are from our Prince to the Princess Consort, they're valuable!"
"Tsk, Brother Sean Hayes, why are you acting so suspicious? It's not like we don't know what's going on," one of the playful guards teased.
Sean Hayes didn't catch the innuendo and shot him a glare. "If you know so much, then get back to work!"
With that, Sean Hayes rolled up his sleeves and hefted a particularly heavy chest, hauling it into Prince of Qin's Manor. The strain made all his strong, muscular lines stand out beneath his clothes—especially those biceps, which were on full display!
The Hayes Family Shadow Guards nearby stifled their laughter. "Tsk, look at Brother Sean Hayes showing off! With Simon Yu here, he's desperate to flaunt those muscles—afraid the young master might not notice him."
"Exactly! What's the point? I bet Simon Yu has seen it all before, haha!"
"Of course! The two of them, hehehe..."
Simon Yu's face darkened as he watched the Hayes Family Shadow Guards whisper and flash lecherous grins his way. Every so often, they'd give him a meaningful look, making his skin crawl. He quickly ushered the Medical Sage and Quentin Lin inside, finally escaping the bizarre stares of the Shadow Guards.
The Lin Residence had already been set up, with everyone's rooms arranged and ready to move in.
Quentin Lin walked alongside the Medical Sage. "Dad, are we not living in the mountains anymore?"
The Medical Sage nodded, "We'll be living here from now on—not in the mountains anymore."
"Why? Didn't you always say the mountains were peaceful? In the capital, people are always coming to see you—doesn't that drive you crazy?" Quentin Lin grinned mischievously.
The Medical Sage coughed awkwardly. "Can't a dad change his mind?"
Quentin Lin burst out laughing and ran ahead, his short legs pattering. He shouted, "I know, Dad! You moved to the city because Mom wanted to be close to Sister and Brother-in-law! Ah, since ancient times, even heroes can't resist beauties. Dad, even you—the great Medical Sage—have met your match today!"
