Turmoil Before Going to the Human World

Faye Gale made her way deep into Fiend Palace, arriving at a grand golden palace. Standing guard at the entrance were two generals—rare Second-Rank Generals, if one looked closely.

"Miss," the two generals greeted her respectfully when they saw her.

Faye Gale asked, "Is the Madam inside?"

"She is," one of them replied.

"What about the Palace Lord?" Faye Gale asked again.

"The Palace Lord is cultivating and not inside," the general answered.

Faye Gale nodded and walked inside. The golden palace was spacious, filled with many maids. Whenever they saw her, they respectfully called out, "Miss."

Faye Gale walked through the palace until she reached a windscreen. Behind it, a middle-aged woman sat on a low bed—one that could be used for chatting during the day.

"You're here?" The middle-aged woman looked up at Faye Gale as she entered.

"Mm." Faye Gale nodded.

The middle-aged woman gestured to the maids beside her, and they quietly left the palace.

"What brings you here today?" the Madam smiled, pulling Faye Gale over to sit by the bed.

"I have a favor to ask," Faye Gale replied with a smile.

"What kind of favor do you need from me?" the Madam asked curiously.

So Faye Gale explained her wish to go to the Human World. As soon as the Madam heard this, she immediately objected, "No, absolutely not!"

"Why not?" Faye Gale grew anxious.

"You can go anywhere in the Fiend Realm, but you absolutely cannot go to the Human World," the Madam said firmly.

"Why not!" Faye Gale still didn't understand and pressed her.

"I have two sons—one is in the Human World, and the other was kidnapped. The Palace Lord has already ordered that none of us are allowed to leave again. If anyone does, they'll be punished under Fiend Palace rules," the Madam explained.

"Then go talk to the Palace Lord for me. I want to go out for a bit—being stuck in the Fiend Realm all the time is so boring," Faye Gale urged.

"Don't even think about it. I've already lost track of one son—if something happens to you too, everything will fall apart," the Madam said, shaking her head.

"Really not going to let me go?" Faye Gale pressed, her face serious.

"No, you're not going," the Madam replied.

"If you won't let me, then I'll just break out on my own. If I cause trouble, don't blame me," Faye Gale retorted.

"Are you crazy?" The Madam was shocked to hear Faye Gale talk about forcing her way out.

"I'm not crazy. Staying here any longer will drive me crazy from boredom," Faye Gale replied.

"You really have to go?" The Madam, seeing Faye Gale's determination, grew even more worried she might force her way out.

"Yes," Faye Gale nodded.

"Fine, I'll go ask," the Madam sighed helplessly.

"I knew you were the best," Faye Gale said with a smile.

"The Human World isn't like our Fiend Realm. If something happens out there, it'll be hard for us to help you." Thinking of her kidnapped younger son, the Madam spoke with resignation.

"Don't worry. If I go out, I'll definitely try to find his whereabouts," Faye Gale promised.

"You? Well, that's fine. You're strong enough—if you find him, that would be best," the Madam said, nodding.

Seeing the Madam agree to help, Faye Gale happily returned to her own quarters and asked the maid to prepare some daily necessities.

"Miss, you're going to the Human World!" the maid exclaimed in shock when she heard Faye Gale's words.

"Yes," Faye Gale replied with a smile.

"The Human World is too chaotic, and it's not under Fiend Palace's control. You really shouldn't go," the maid advised.

"You have no experience—you're just timid and afraid of trouble," Faye Gale said.

"Miss, how can you say that? I'm only thinking of your safety," the maid protested.

"I know, but why does everyone react like they've seen a monster whenever I mention this?" Faye Gale said helplessly.
