Sect Barrier of Starstream School

12/19/2025

The Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain clearly had no intention of entering the Starstream Order. Huan Mingzi could only walk out of the sect with Xian Ze, personally paying his respects, "Huan Mingzi greets the Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain."

The Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain smiled, "You and I both share the surname Huan, but you’ve fallen a bit behind. With your talent, you’re truly limited in this Minor Central World. Why not come with me to the Heavenly Gold Domain?"

Huan Mingzi cupped his fists again, "Thank you for your appreciation, Lord. I’ve long grown accustomed to staying here."

He understood very well what the Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain meant. Though he was half a step into the Domain stage, just one step away from truly entering it, among the three Pavilion Masters of Destiny Pavilion, he was the least valued. Everyone knew that in this lifetime, he would never have a chance to truly cross into the Domain stage.

His lifespan was almost at its end. At this stage, his vitality was weak. Even if he managed to comprehend the true Domain stage, he lacked the resources to break through.

So although Destiny Pavilion had three main Pavilion Masters, it was always the First and Second Masters who enjoyed the rewards, while Huan Mingzi was constantly running around outside, working himself to the bone.

"Chang Xiao of Destiny Isle greets the Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain. I hope I’m not too late." A hearty voice rang out, followed by a gray-robed man descending.

The Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain saw who it was, his eyes narrowing before he burst into hearty laughter, "Master Chang, I didn’t expect that in such a short time, you’ve reached the fourth level of the Domain stage. Congratulations, congratulations!"

Though the Lord of the Heavenly Gold Domain offered congratulations, he was inwardly deeply shocked. He might be at the seventh level of the Domain stage, but every advancement in the Domain stage was difficult. Chang Xiao had been stuck at the third level for years, and now he suddenly broke through to the fourth—he must have encountered some great opportunity. Especially in a place like the Minor Central World, progressing in the Domain stage was even harder. While he, at the seventh level, had no fear of Chang Xiao, it would be difficult to completely suppress a fourth-level Domain cultivator like him.

"Thank you, Brother Changzhu. Compared to you, I am still far, far behind." Chang Xiao smiled slightly and cupped his fists again.

"You're Joe Di?" Standing next to Qian Ku was a tall, bald cultivator. His gaze fell on Joe Di, his tone utterly neutral.

"And who do you think you are?" Joe Di replied with biting sarcasm. These people clearly came to Starstream Order with ill intent, so he had no reason to be polite. This man had just reached the Seventh Level of True Transformation, and his cultivation was still unstable.

The bald man answered coolly, "I'm not anyone special. My name is Peng Yun, First Grand Elder of Kun Sect."

"Young Master Red Tassel, we meet again." Chang Xiao chuckled. He was well aware of Joe Di's strength—after all, it was Joe Di who had killed Li Jian, a first-level Domain cultivator. That meant Joe Di was at least as powerful as a first-level Domain cultivator.

To him, Joe Di was a truly terrifying figure. Joe Di hadn't even entered the Domain stage, yet he possessed the power to slay a Domain cultivator. That was simply unheard of.

Joe Di glanced at Chang Xiao. "Not bad, your cultivation has improved a lot. No wonder you rushed straight to my Starstream Order. As for me, I’ve always lived by this rule: friends are welcomed with wine, enemies are greeted with the blade."

With that, Joe Di's gaze landed on Qian Ku, whose red bark-like robes made him look neither human nor ghost. Joe Di had long wanted to kill him, and now the opportunity had arrived. "Old dry wood, you’re the one shameless enough to try and steal the spirit veins from my Starstream Order?"

"Spirit veins of your Starstream Order? Hahaha! I've lived in the Little Central World for years, and this is the first time I've heard someone claim the Qin Qian mountain range belongs to Starstream Order. Today, those spirit veins are mine, and there’s nothing you can do about it!" Qian Ku shouted, determined to destroy Starstream Order.

He planned to take Starstream Order’s spirit veins as a gift for Lord Goldwin, simply to curry favor. Lord Goldwin had clearly come seeking the veins, so Qian Ku decided to act, letting Lord Goldwin avoid any unpleasant reputation.

Joe Di replied coldly, "Go ahead, if you dare."

Before Qian Ku could reply, Peng Yun said, "Elder Qian Ku, since you found those spirit veins, why be polite? Go ahead and collect them. If anyone tries to interfere, I’ll get angry."

As Qian Ku moved to extract the spirit veins, Peng Yun kept his eyes fixed on Joe Di, ready to act without hesitation if Joe Di made a move.

Huan Mingzi and Xian Ze’s faces turned ashen. They knew that if they tried to stop Qian Ku, a chaotic battle would break out immediately. In fact, even if they didn’t intervene, once the eight top-grade spirit veins were taken, these people would attack regardless.

Joe Di didn’t try to stop Qian Ku. Instead, he took out a formation flag and planted it directly into the void.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! A series of thunderous explosions echoed through the void, shaking the entire space. Lord Goldwin immediately retreated hundreds of meters, and Chang Xiao and the others followed suit. No matter how carefully they probed with their spiritual senses, they couldn’t pinpoint the source of the booming sounds.

As the rumbling continued, the once-clear headquarters of Starstream Order blurred before their eyes. Wisps of spiritual mist began to swirl, and the entire sect seemed to vanish into the void.

"Is this a sect barrier?" Lord Goldwin was no stranger to such things, but he couldn’t hide his shock. This was not just any protective array—it was a top-tier sect barrier. Even in the True Domain, few could construct such a formation.

Chang Xiao and the others stared in shock at the now-hidden Starstream Order. Suddenly, three bold characters appeared in the void: Starstream Sect. The words seemed to be woven from countless stars and rivers, exuding boundless majesty.

Joe Di proclaimed in a clear voice, "From today onward, Starstream Order will be renamed Starstream Sect. I, Joe Di, will serve as the first Sect Master. From now on, entry and exit require a personal identity token, and any attack against the sect will be regarded as a grave enmity."

"Excellent! Excellent!" Huan Mingzi burst into hearty laughter. His mastery of formations couldn’t compare to Joe Di’s, but he could still recognize the power of this sect barrier. Now that it was activated, even a coordinated assault by True Transformation experts would be hard-pressed to break through.

"Where is Elder Qian Ku of Kun Sect?" Peng Yun suddenly sensed something was wrong. When Joe Di activated the sect barrier, everyone else had retreated, but Qian Ku—who had been extracting the spirit veins—had vanished.

Joe Di replied coolly, "Maybe your elder found a pile of spirit veins and will show up soon. Who would’ve thought you could just pick up spirit veins at someone else’s sect gate? Kun Sect is supposed to be a great sect—maybe one day I’ll come by and see what treasures I can pick up myself…"

Joe Di had barely finished speaking when a cloud of blood exploded from within the barrier. Qian Ku’s shredded body was flung out, his storage ring nowhere to be seen.

Peng Yun, Ao Huang, and Guang Xuanxiang felt chills run down their spines. They had just watched Joe Di activate the Starstream Sect’s barrier—and in mere moments, Qian Ku, a Fifth Level True Transformation expert, had been reduced to blood mist, his soul annihilated.

Moreover, neither Joe Di, Huan Mingzi, nor Xian Ze had lifted a finger. They hadn’t even seen how Qian Ku was killed. Just how terrifying was this sect barrier?

If they hadn’t retreated earlier, and had remained inside Starstream Sect when Joe Di activated the barrier, then…

None of them dared to imagine the outcome.
