"Uh—then you go for a swim first, take a good bath. There’s another woman’s scent on you—I... I don’t want to smell even a trace of another woman!" Fiona Tang bit her lip lightly as she spoke.
"Oh—" Shawn Young suddenly realized that the 'other woman’s scent' Fiona mentioned must be Jade Swann’s. Turns out, a woman’s sixth sense is truly amazing. Especially since yesterday, he’d spent a long time 'having wild fun' with Jade Swann, and her scent still lingered on him. Fiona picked up on it right away.
"Alright then, I’ll go for a swim and take a good bath, then I’ll come back!" Shawn said, sliding his hands along Fiona’s slender waist and giving her perky chest a playful squeeze.
"Ah! You—you ambushed me!" Fiona gasped, her whole body shivering as she blushed furiously. Shawn was already grinning, raising his hands and swimming away.
"Hmph! You naughty rascal, trying to get away after taking advantage of me? Not so fast—" Fiona pouted playfully, stretched out her jade-like arms, and swam after him.
Seeing her chase after him, Shawn was secretly delighted, knowing his chance had come. He immediately ducked his head underwater and dove into the hot spring. The spring was over twenty meters wide and up to four meters deep at its deepest. Shawn dove straight to the deepest spot.
Steam billowed in the geothermal hot spring, mist swirling everywhere. Even at close range, it was hard to see clearly. Fiona suddenly lost sight of Shawn, instantly guessing he’d gone underwater. Pouting her cherry lips, her competitive spirit flared: "You sly devil, playing tricks on me! Just watch, I’ll catch you!"
Just as she was about to dive in, she suddenly felt a pair of big hands wrap around her waist—"Ah! It’s you! You scared me!" Fiona shrieked. Of course, she knew whose hands those were; she just hadn’t been mentally prepared, so she cried out instinctively.
Splash—Shawn surfaced from the water, his arms wrapped tightly around Fiona’s slender waist. Without warning, he pulled her into the water, pressed his lips to hers, and kissed her cherry lips.
"Ah—mm—mm—" Fiona struggled instinctively, slapping at Shawn’s arms. His sudden attack had caught her off guard, and she wanted him to stop so she could catch her breath. Even though she’d mentally prepared herself, she wasn’t quite ready—it was her first time in such a situation, and her conservative nature made every step feel like a big leap.
But Shawn had no intention of letting her go. Instead, he took advantage of the moment when she opened her mouth to speak, slipping his tongue inside and kissing her hungrily. At this point, he couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Mm—mm—" Fiona soon surrendered to Shawn’s passionate assault, her arms dropping limply as her whole body melted. She closed her eyes, letting herself feel his wild, fervent kisses. After a while, she started to get used to it and even began to kiss him back.
Seeing the moment was right, Shawn held her slim waist and gently swam toward the edge of the hot spring. Half-submerged, the two lay on the smooth river stones at the bank, kissing madly. Shawn’s hand skillfully slipped beneath her body, starting to pull away—
"Mm—don’t rush—" At that moment, Fiona reached out and firmly pressed his hand down.
Shawn stopped immediately, thinking Fiona wasn’t ready and was scared. He gently whispered in her ear, "Oh! Fiona, if you’re not ready—then… let’s wait until another day! You can tell me when you’re prepared."
"No, that’s not it. I—I want to tell you something first." Fiona said softly.
"Hm? What is it?" Shawn realized that whatever Fiona wanted to say at this moment, it couldn’t be simple.
"After we finish this mission, I… I might have to leave!" Fiona suddenly looked at Shawn with bright, steady eyes and said this out of the blue.
"Oh! I know, summer break is coming! We can all go home then!" Shawn replied quickly.
"You know I’m not going back to the Southern Military District, and after the new semester starts, I won’t be studying at Southern University anymore." Fiona broke the news to Shawn, her face shadowed with sadness.
"What? Why? Can’t you stay?" Shawn was stunned by the sudden news, his voice trembling. He hadn’t expected Fiona’s announcement to hit him so hard—it was almost too much to accept.
Seeing Shawn’s reaction, a faint smile finally appeared on Fiona’s pretty face. "I’m not finished yet, why are you so anxious?" she teased.
"But Fiona—when you say it like that, I really do get anxious! Just thinking I won’t see you at Southern University anymore makes me feel like something’s missing. What’s going on? Tell me." Shawn realized how much Fiona meant to him—she’d already found a place deep in his heart.
"Well, after the Afghanistan mission and this trip to Myanmar, I realized my cultivation skills really aren’t strong enough, and I need to improve my Taoist training. So, I’ll return to the Trueheart Sect to train with my master for a while. My father also wants me to attend National Defense University for advanced studies, and I’ve always wanted that myself. He’s already arranged everything—after this mission, I’ll withdraw from Southern University, and next semester I’ll be studying at National Defense University in Beijing!" Fiona explained.

"Wow! National Defense University is top-notch—the best military academy in China! But Fiona, if I miss you, what am I supposed to do if I can’t see you?" Shawn felt a wave of anxiety and longing.
"Oh, I’m just doing advanced studies at National Defense University, it’ll only be about two years. I’ll be learning military theory and command! Plus, I’ll still have holidays, just like any other university. So why are you so anxious? Besides, I’m still a member of the National Paranormal Task Force, so there might be urgent missions for me at any time. But this time, Dragon King wants me to focus on my studies, so he’ll try not to assign me to missions." Fiona reassured him.
"I really am anxious. The thought of you suddenly leaving my side makes me feel pretty miserable," Shawn admitted.
"Oh, you silly! We’re both so young, with bright futures ahead and plenty of time together. Don’t you have confidence in us—or in yourself? With your abilities, you’ll definitely make it to Beijing someday!" Fiona said, hugging Shawn’s waist tighter as she spoke.
"Oh! I know, I just really don’t want to be apart from you—" Shawn knew Fiona was right, but he couldn’t help feeling reluctant and wanted to say more.
"Listen, Beijing is full of hidden talents and opportunities—so much bigger than Nanning. If you ever get the chance, you must come visit me there. We’ll definitely meet up in the capital someday! But let’s not talk about that now. Today, I have a special gift for you! You have to accept it—it’ll be a beautiful memory for me!" Fiona covered Shawn’s mouth, hugged him gently, and whispered in his ear.
