Evan Xiao Arrives

No one knew what he was up to, so everyone watched him in confusion.

"Madam." Minister Zhuo reached out to Lena. "Let's go sit together!"

Lena smiled and nodded, placing her delicate, jade-like hand in Zhuo Minghan's palm. He carefully led her to the main seat, where they sat side by side, receiving congratulations from the guests.

Grace Wan stood there, stiff as a statue, not moving for a long time.

"Auntie, why are you just standing here?" Grace asked with a grin. "There are so many guests waiting over there—you should go greet them!"

Grace Wan glanced at her, visibly struggling to keep her composure. "I'm not feeling well. I'll step outside for some air," she said.

With that, she went out.

Grace raised her eyebrows, gazing at her parents at the head table, feeling a mix of emotions.

If only her mother could recover.

If only her parents could live happily together forever and grow old together…

Suddenly, her dad stood up and quickly walked outside.

A bunch of officials in the crowd followed him out too.

Grace craned her neck for a look... Turns out, Evan Xiao had arrived.

He wore a slightly fitted crimson robe, making his broad shoulders and narrow waist even more striking. Tall and elegant, breathtakingly handsome at first glance, yet with a wild strength simmering beneath the surface.

Even though everyone present was a Blue Moon Kingdom elite, the moment he appeared, he stole the spotlight—every gaze was drawn to him.

"That's the General!" someone exclaimed behind Grace.

Grace turned to see Jenny Zhu, looking as if her eyes were pregnant with stars and she might faint from excitement.

Alongside her were Queenie Zhu, Rona Zhu, and several other girls. Some tried to look reserved, others were just as swept up as Jenny, but all of them had eyes brimming with admiration and awe.

"The General is so handsome!"

"Totally! If I could marry him, I'd die happy!"

"Even if I can't marry him, I'd settle for being his concubine or maid. Just seeing him every day would be enough to make me tipsy!"

"What are you all talking about!" Queenie Zhu huffed, looking annoyed, like they were eyeing her man. "If you're shameless, I'm even more shameless!"

So all the girls clammed up.

Queenie Zhu took a deep breath, secretly cheering herself on. She was determined to win first place in the competition...

Grace shot them a glance, then quietly went back to her seat, pretending to snack on sunflower seeds while keeping an eye on her big brother Jason Zhuo.

Evan Xiao was welcomed in like a superstar and given the best seat up front.

But instead of sitting down, he bowed to Lena. "Madam, are you feeling much better now?"

"Hmm? General, you know me?" Lena asked, surprised.

Evan Xiao did know her.

She'd even patted his head before!

Evan Xiao looked a little awkward and said, "Well, anyone sitting here must be Madam."

Lena stood up and bowed to him too. "Thank you, General, for your kindness in giving me medicine!"

The medicine wasn't actually from him.

But since Grace said it was, he just went along with it.

Evan Xiao glanced at Grace and replied, "It was nothing, Madam. No need to thank me."

While they were being all polite, Mrs. Liu piped up sourly from the side, "Oh? So Big Sister-in-law's illness was cured by the General?"
