Can Be Considered

Listening to her, Evan Lin felt like life had regained a bit of warmth—nothing like the utter loneliness under Heavenly Lake.

Victor Su wanted Evan Lin to stay for dinner, but Evan Lin refused.

The elevator doors opened. Irene Xu stepped out first, turned to Evan Lin, and said casually, "This past month, Stella and I talked it over. For someone as talented as you, the best choice would be a top school like Clearwater University."

"But since you’ve already turned down Clearwater, Stella and I both think Capitalview University is actually pretty good. At least it’s a 211 school."

"Plus, with Stella Huang as your senior, she can get you into the student union right away. She knows a lot of the professors too and can help you connect with them—great for your future."

"And if you get into school and have your eye on some junior girl and want to make a move, Stella Huang and I can be your evil strategists—give you all the tips you need to win her over in no time!"

At this point, Irene Xu even made a fist, showing her determination to help Evan Lin cause trouble.

Evan Lin paused and glanced at her.

"When Molly Su comes back from abroad, let her be a little more proactive. If it works out, the entire Su family’s fortune can be her dowry, so what!"

Inside, she was nervous, terrified Evan Lin would see through her feelings.

The Su family’s assets easily topped a hundred million.

Evan Lin nodded, then took out his keys, opened the door, and walked inside.

"The only worry is that Master Lin might not care about the scale of our Su family at all."

Irene Xu was still frozen in place, stunned by Evan Lin’s sudden promise.

If Evan Lin hadn’t already taken the groceries into the kitchen, and if turtle soup didn’t take so long to make, Irene Xu would’ve called Stella Huang right then to share the good news.

Honestly, both Irene Xu and Stella Huang were reluctant to lose Evan Lin as a roommate.

Irene Xu used to hate guys who ogled her, but now she sometimes found Evan Lin a little too proper—which honestly just left her frustrated.

He had planned to shamelessly ask to come up and chat some more, but Evan Lin considered that Stella Huang and Irene Xu were still living there, so he refused outright.

Once inside, Irene Xu couldn’t help but ask again, her voice tentative—like a girl who’d just gotten candy.

"Evan Lin!"

Evan Lin waved his hand. "Kitchen’s all yours."

After leaving the kitchen, Evan Lin went back to his room, leaving Irene Xu excitedly preparing the food.

Whether it was Stella Huang or Irene Xu, Evan Lin understood them both completely.

As she spoke, Irene Xu leaned in and sniffed Evan Lin: "No perfume detected."

Back in his room, Evan Lin set down his bag, took out his phone, and called Serena Tong.

No one picked up—Serena Tong was probably busy.

So Evan Lin called Lily Zhong next to ask about the company’s progress. Lily said things were moving fast—way smoother than expected.

In Brightsea City, Haiyang Sheng helped with all the paperwork, making approvals go through without a hitch. Lily Zhong also praised Manager Zhang, whom Evan Lin brought in from River City, for his skills and loyalty.

On Warren Wu’s end, the Youth-Preserving Beauty Pills were starting to roll out, though only in small batches for now. The sales channels weren’t fully set yet, so it would take a bit longer for things to get going.

Though Irene Xu was a few years older than Evan Lin, she acted more like a little girl around him.

Listening to her, Evan Lin felt like life had regained a bit of warmth—nothing like the utter loneliness under the Heavenly Lake.

"By the way, you’ve been gone a whole month—had your fun yet? Have you decided where you’ll apply after the college entrance exams?"

Evan Lin paused and glanced at her.

Irene’s expression turned a little awkward; she quickly looked away, her eyes clouded with worry she couldn’t hide.

Inside, she was nervous, terrified Evan Lin would see through her feelings.

"I haven’t decided yet, but if I really can’t make up my mind, I might consider Capitalview University."

Evan Lin nodded, then took out his keys, opened the door, and walked inside.

"For real?"

Irene was still frozen in place, stunned by Evan Lin’s sudden promise.

If Evan Lin hadn’t already taken the groceries into the kitchen, and if turtle soup didn’t take so long to make, Irene would’ve called Stella right then to share the good news.

Honestly, both Irene Xu and Stella Huang were reluctant to lose Evan Lin as a roommate.

"You really mean it?"

Once inside, Irene couldn’t help but ask again, her voice tentative—like a girl who’d just gotten candy.

"Yeah—if I really can’t decide, I’ll choose Capitalview University."

Evan Lin waved his hand. "Kitchen’s all yours."

After leaving the kitchen, Evan Lin went back to his room, leaving Irene excitedly preparing the food.

Whether it was Stella or Irene, Evan Lin understood them both completely.

He didn’t mind their attachment—in fact, having more people to talk to when he came home was a good thing.

Back in his room, Evan Lin set down his bag, took out his phone, and called Serena Tong.

No one picked up—she was probably busy.

So Lin Yi called Lily Zhong next to ask about the company’s progress. Lily said things were moving fast—way smoother than expected.

In Minghai, Haiyang Sheng helped with all the paperwork, making approvals go through without a hitch. Lily also praised Manager Zhang, whom Evan Lin brought in from River City, for his skills and loyalty.

On Warren Wu’s end, the Youth-Preserving Beauty Pills were starting to roll out, though only in small batches for now. The sales channels weren’t fully set yet, so it would take a bit longer for things to get going.

"Oh, and Sawyer Summer just invested a hundred million cash—but he only asked for 0.1% equity."
