You Harmed Me Again

Grace's eyes reddened with anger, but she was powerless against him. Feeling wronged, she could only return and use the alchemist's cauldron that Leo Bo had exchanged with her.

About a quarter of an hour later, Leo Bo started to sense something was wrong inside the cauldron and opened the lid to check.

Just then—bang!—the cauldron exploded.

Leo Bo screamed in agony, collapsed on the ground covered in soot, and wailed, "My face! My face!"

Everyone hurried over to see what had happened.

Leo Bo was lucky this time—the blast didn't hit any vital spots.

But his face was slashed in four or five places, and his skin looked like burnt pig hide. Without a miracle elixir to restore his looks, he was definitely disfigured.

Grace couldn't help but snicker.

She had already spiked the pills when she took them out earlier.

As soon as it was heated, the cauldron would explode...

Someone fed Leo Bo a Revitalizing Pill.

Soon he woke up, scrambled to his feet, and stormed over to confront Grace, "Chloe Zhu!"

"What is it?"

"You... you set me up again!" He pointed accusingly at Grace.

"Me? When have I ever set you up?" Grace asked, looking all innocent.

"There's something wrong with this cauldron!"

"Of course there is! Everyone knows it's a defective cauldron," Grace replied. "You insisted on taking it! With so many people watching! Am I right, everyone?"

The other alchemists couldn't stand it any longer and chimed in, "That's right, Leo Bo! Don't go too far. You took her cauldron yourself—she didn't force you!"

"Yeah! She warned you it might explode. You insisted on using it, so you can't blame Chloe Zhu for this!"

......

Leo Bo was left speechless, pointing at Grace but unable to say a word.

He really was in the wrong.

The next day, everyone handed in three hundred Qi Condensation Pills.

Each alchemist's pills were packed in a large bottle, sealed, stamped with the Spirit Alliance mark, and labeled with the alchemist's name.

Any pill leaving the Spirit Alliance was handled this way—it's their standard procedure.

As expected, Grace's Qi Condensation Pills were rated the highest quality.

Her seal was stamped with the Champion Alchemist mark.

Of course, that Tier Four Auxiliary Pill also went to Grace.

Leo Bo, his face smeared with medicine and looking yellow and black, watched as Vice President Liu personally handed the pills to Grace, his eyes nearly popping out.

That was the pill he'd dreamed of...

Grace didn't even need that pill—why would she snatch it?

So infuriating!

......

The pills were all laid out in the courtyard. Vice President Liu called for everyone to help move their own pills into the Pill Storage Room.

Grace went over too, carrying her freshly refined pills into the Pill Storage Room.

Honestly, this was the first batch Grace had ever seriously made for someone else since her rebirth.

She had no idea who would end up taking these pills.

Thinking of this, Grace secretly placed a seal she’d just learned from Evan Xiao.

This way, if anyone opened her pill bottle, she’d know.

She’d check on it when she returned to the army...

After moving the pills back, Grace spotted Leo Bo lurking around the courtyard, waiting for her.

With his face all black except for the whites of his eyes, he looked absolutely ridiculous.

"Chloe Zhu," he called out, forcing a smile.

"Now what?" Grace asked.

"You see, about yesterday... I guess I was kind of in the wrong too."

Grace couldn't help but laugh: "Oh really? You admit you were wrong too?"
