As Long As You're Happy

12/19/2025

Aside from the rare few cultivators who knew that Joe Di and Byron True had clashed in Genesis City, most cultivators were unaware of the power of Joe Di's Triple Loom. Even though Joe Di's earlier words had dazzled the crowd, now that Byron True made his move, over a hundred cultivators surged forward, unleashing their artifacts at Joe Di all at once.

As the Oath Platform came under attack, it immediately swept out billions of Dao Rhythms to suppress the assault. The platform's rule-based suppression collided with over a hundred divine techniques, erupting in a terrifying explosion in the void.

Boom! Countless laws shattered, rules broke apart. This universe, already imperfect due to Joe Di's bias, was unstable to begin with. Now, under this dreadful suppression and the explosion of rules, the void collapsed inward.

Several cultivators were squeezed by the shattered rules and swept into the collapsing void, vanishing without a trace in an instant.

More cultivators were struck at the core of their souls by the Oath Platform's soul-interrogating Dao Rhythms, leaving them stunned on the spot in that moment.

Joe Di felt a surge of delight. Back then, he had fought Byron True and Quinn Yan without any help; now, with the Oath Platform assisting him, it was almost too easy.

At this moment, why would he hold back? Worldcleaver swept forth, unleashing wave after wave of blade light.

Ultimate divine technique—Time's Third Loom.

Blade light emerges, blade force rises! The void surges with countless waves!

The blade waves roared, crashing into the crowd. In an instant, the white blade tide came alive, transforming into a vivid blood-red hue!

"The Oath Platform... You actually refined the Oath Platform..." Byron True retreated in terror, not even bothering to defend himself.

Only Byron True here knew how terrifying the Oath Platform was. With Joe Di having refined it and stationed it at the Chaos Gate, it meant that no one could leave this universe without Joe Di's permission.

The artifact rules of the Oath Platform had already surpassed this universe, far beyond Byron True's ability to break through. Let alone with Joe Di present—Oath Platform's crushing force had only just begun. If he didn't retreat and got locked down by the platform's Dao, even waiting for death would be a luxury for Byron True.

Quinn Yan didn't understand the terror of the Oath Platform, but seeing Byron True retreat, he didn't hesitate to back off as well.

Boom boom! The relentless waves of blade force crashed against Byron True's Star-Moon Halberd, tearing its rules so violently that the entire void was shredded. The cultivators who had been preparing to charge forward saw the void filled with shattered starlight and broken rules—none dared advance any further.

Quinn Yan's Mirage Cauldron was far more effective defensively than the Star-Moon Halberd. But because he didn't understand the Oath Platform's terror—and since Joe Di's Time's Third Loom was mainly directed at Byron True and Quinn Yan—now that Byron True had retreated, Quinn Yan was a bit slower and was struck deep in his sea of consciousness by the platform's Dao Rhythms.

On the spot, Quinn Yan spat out a jet of pitch-black blood, panic overtaking him as his sea of consciousness trembled violently. This soul-crushing force—if he couldn't escape in time, he might never get out.

Facing such a terrifying Oath Platform, how could Quinn Yan care about Joe Di's blade waves? He fought desperately against the soul suppression while retreating with all his might.

Boom boom boom! Thud thud thud!

The surging, splitting blade force crashed against the Mirage Cauldron, which began to shake violently. Shattered rule fragments and blade shards struck Quinn Yan's body.

By this moment, Quinn Yan had lost all semblance of human form, his entire body transformed into a bloody mess. Shattered flesh, carried by the exploding blade light, scattered through the void.

Quinn Yan continued his desperate retreat, knowing his only chance at survival lay in that fleeting instant. If he missed it, he'd never escape again.

Joe Di's sixth strike had already arrived, its even more violent blade waves leaving the distant onlookers stunned. Faced with such terrifying blade arts, if they charged forward, it would only mean death.

Even though Joe Di was mainly targeting Byron True and Quinn Yan, any cultivators swept into the waves of Time's Third Loom were blasted apart in the void, killed without mercy.

These hundred-plus cultivators, led by Byron True and Quinn Yan, had attacked only once before being driven back by Joe Di and the Oath Platform. No—the truth was, only a small fraction managed to retreat; most disappeared beneath the endless waves of blade force, reduced to scattered blood and bits.

Watching the few lucky survivors retreat, Joe Di was secretly amazed by the Oath Platform's terrifying power. Most of those killed by his Time's Third Loom were crushed in spirit by the Oath Platform before dying to his blade waves.

The Oath Platform truly was the ultimate defensive treasure. Unfortunately, such an artifact couldn't shine in a mobile battle. With it fixed at the Chaos Gate and empowered by countless formations, its Dao-suppressing power reached its peak. In a moving fight, no one would wait for him to set up the Oath Platform.

Simply using the Oath Platform as an artifact, its Dao suppression would be greatly diminished—its usefulness limited.

More and more cultivators gathered here. Even Byron True and Quinn Yan, leading over a hundred cultivators together, couldn't so much as harm a hair on Joe Di. Instead, a pile of people had died. No matter how arrogant anyone was, at this point, none dared to challenge the Oath Platform.

Several more cultivators rushed out from the crowd, handed over their rings to Joe Di, and quickly entered the Oath Platform to leave this universe.

No matter how angry they were at Joe Di, no one would risk their Dao for a joke. Joe Di had already said: breaking the Chaos Gate was entirely to fuse the rules of the Five Elements Universe. Most of them were at the Convergence Realm—if they left here and cultivated in a universe with complete world rules, they might truly reach the Creation Realm.

If this was really true, then Joe Di hadn't wronged them at all; instead, he'd made a contribution to their Dao.

So what if the chaos aura was thick? If you couldn't cultivate, was it just for enjoying the atmosphere?

"Brother Di, I misunderstood you before. I thought you destroyed my place of cultivation, but now I see you did it for our sake." Kiana Yin stepped forward and bowed deeply, her eyes full of shame and guilt. Yet her heart was shaken beyond words; before, she thought Vincent Wen had been wounded by Byron True and Quinn Yan, but now she knew better than anyone that it was Joe Di who had injured Vincent Wen.

Joe Di smiled slightly. "It's alright, as long as you're happy."

Kiana Yin responded with a soft 'mm,' her cheeks tinged with red, as if hesitating to say something more.

Pinned by Kiana Yin's gaze, Vincent Wen, who hadn't died yet, suddenly cried out, "Joe Di, years ago I only sent someone to propose to her, and she said I was a toad lusting after a swan, mocking me everywhere. But I still didn't kill her—just locked her up. This woman's heart is more venomous than a snake; if you don't kill her, disaster will come one day..."

After saying this, Vincent Wen's vitality began to dissipate, his Dao crumbling, vanishing in mere moments.

He did have some backbone: rather than beg Kiana Yin for mercy, Vincent Wen chose self-destruction. Joe Di couldn't help but admire him a little.

Kiana Yin's face was a bit pale as she looked at Joe Di and said, "Brother Di, my temperament is a bit extreme. Back then, I really did mock him as a toad. If I weren't like this, I wouldn't have blamed you so rashly after hearing my home was destroyed, without investigating the reason."

Joe Di nodded. "That's right, you were correct—he is a toad. You were right to blame me; if you didn't, you'd feel guilty instead."

Kiana Yin brightened. She knew this was just another admirer coveting her beauty—she'd met plenty of such sycophants before. She stepped forward again, staring unblinkingly into Joe Di's eyes. "Brother Di, I've been stuck at the Convergence Realm for too long. I've long wanted to leave here..."

Joe Di continued, "But you got the second part wrong. You should've said he's a toad that wants to eat fly meat, sigh..."

Joe Di sighed, gazing into the distant void. "Sorry, fly, I really shouldn't have insulted you."

"You..." Kiana Yin's face instantly turned pale.

Before she could speak, Joe Di's calm voice rang out again: "Others can leave here with just thirty Third Step Dao Fruits, but you, in addition to paying those, must open your world—because I need to collect my rescue fee."
