The Most Mysterious Organization on the Continent

Evan Xiao took Leon Zane straight to Spirit Alliance Mountain.

At the foot of the mountain, Evan cast a spell and turned him back into human form.

"Well?" Evan asked. "After all this time, you still haven’t figured out her background?"

Leon gave a sly smile. "Actually, I did figure it out!"

"Oh?"

"She’s with the Verdant Order," Leon said. "I saw the Verdant Order’s mystical mark on her."

"Verdant Order?" Evan frowned.

In this world, there are humans, deities, demons, and devils.

Besides all the big and small nations, there are plenty of independent organizations.

Like sects, orders, and alliances.

But every organization is usually made up of just one race.

Only the Verdant Order mixes humans, demons, and devils together.

There are even deities among them.

It’s always been the most mysterious organization on the continent.

"What do they want?" Evan narrowed his eyes.

"My super sharp sixth sense says it’s got something to do with the Saint Maiden."

"It’s obvious that Master Shidao and the Saint Maiden are close. Do you really need your sixth sense for that?"

Leon: "...Anyway, I think they probably don’t mean any harm to the Saint Maiden."

Evan nodded.

"So what do we do next?" Leon asked. "Head back?"

Evan didn’t say anything.

"We should go report back!" Leon said. "Let’s meet up with the Divine Emperor, Divine Empress, and the elders to figure out if we can get some usable Haotian Water!"

"Let’s wait a bit longer," Evan said.

"Why?" Leon asked. "Because of Grace?"

Evan glanced at him but didn’t answer.

"Since she’s the Saint Maiden’s daughter, she’s half-divine. If you like her, bring her back as a concubine—heck, if you insist, you could even make her Crown Princess! So what’s your hesitation?"

"Did you really turn into a deer-snake or something?" Evan gave him a sympathetic look. "Your IQ’s worrying me."

Leon’s eyes widened. "What’s that supposed to mean?"

"The situation in Cangwu is still unclear. Can the Saint Maiden’s identity be restored? If not, going back now would only make things worse in Cangwu, and my mother definitely won’t approve me marrying Grace."

"True… But have you decided to marry her as your main wife?"

"Of course."

"So what about my sister?"

"That’s your family’s problem."

"Oh..." Leon sighed. "Then why’d you bring me to Spirit Alliance Mountain?"

"Business," Evan said.

"What business?"

"Come with me." Evan walked a few steps, then suddenly stopped and turned around. "The Verdant Order’s birthmark is supposed to be innate, only appearing on the chest under special circumstances. How did you see it?"

Leon said, "I accidentally saw her bathing."

Evan: "Accidentally?"

"Of course!" Leon protested, "You think I’d peek on purpose? Even if that woman stripped and threw herself at me, I wouldn’t look twice!"

Evan: "..."

...

Grace waited at the General’s Manor for half an hour before Evan returned.

He casually told her that Byron White was taken care of.

He absolutely wouldn’t make trouble for her anymore.

Grace looked at him suspiciously. "Why? How’d you pull that off? Don’t tell me... you agreed to marry his sister?"

"What if I did?"

Grace bit her lip and stayed silent.

Evan tapped her forehead. "Go on, get moving!"

So Grace went to the Spirit Alliance again.

Strangely enough, this time Byron White formally assessed her, handed her the Alliance Master Appointment Ledger, and then left with his people.
