Joe Di's Thunder Blade

12/19/2025

Joe Di took out the Primordial Thunderstone, aiming to harness its boundless thunder law. He wanted to use its power to strengthen the thunder law array banners he was constructing. With so many ninth-rank immortal fiend beasts swarming, he had no choice but to risk breaking out of Cauldron Haven.

Under such a terrifying Beast Tide, if he were swallowed by the horde, even with Spirit Shift, there was no guarantee he could escape unscathed.

But when Joe Di’s spiritual sense connected with the Primordial Thunderstone, he was stunned by the thunder aura contained within.

He had tried refining the Primordial Thunderstone before, but it had been useless. Now, however, he sensed the first natural seal within the stone.

This was a top-tier natural seal. Joe Di, versed in all kinds of laws, instantly recognized its aura as somewhat similar to the World Tome—this was definitely a supreme treasure.

He hadn’t even refined the first seal yet, but already felt the endless, wild thunder aura. If he succeeded, how terrifying would the thunder energy become?

Joe Di immediately changed his approach, frantically driving his spiritual sense to refine the first seal of the Primordial Thunderstone.

The Supreme Strangle Immortal Array unleashed endless blade rays mixed with sheets of lightning arcs, slaughtering scores of fiend beasts. Yet, more and more powerful beasts broke through the first layer of the array. After Joe Di escaped Cauldron Haven, he seemed to freeze, standing atop a blue stone shrouded in thunderlight.

"Guildmaster Meng, something’s wrong with the Grandmaster Alchemist Joe Di," Miles Silent noticed the anomaly. Some top-tier immortal fiend beasts had breached the array and were now attacking the final defensive ward before Joe Di.

If the last defense before Joe Di was shattered, he would lose even the slightest chance to turn the tide.

Before Meng Xixi could answer, a sharp crack split the air—the defensive array in front of Joe Di fractured. In the next instant, she watched as a jet of blood burst from Joe Di's back.

Clearly, a ninth-tier Immortal Beast had ripped through Joe Di’s defenses, and a watery arrow had punched straight through his chest.

Meng Xixi and Mi Ji exchanged helpless glances; neither knew what to do. To rush out and rescue Joe Di? First, neither wanted to, and second, even if they tried, it would mean certain death.

It wasn’t just Meng Xixi and Mi Ji—every cultivator in Cauldron Haven Free Immortal City wore an expression of utter despair. All knew that if Joe Di fell, their own doom was only a matter of time.

Cauldron Haven Free Immortal City did have a teleportation array, but it wasn’t meant for them. Even if they forced their way in, how many could actually escape through it?

"I think we should leave now. Otherwise, we might not even have the chance to escape…" Meng Xixi hesitated, but finally spoke her mind.

If they didn’t leave now, by the time Cauldron Haven was torn apart by the beast tide, it would be far too late to teleport away.

Mi Ji let out a long sigh, knowing he could no longer remain in Cauldron Haven Free Immortal City. Just as he was about to agree with Meng Xixi, ready to leave together, his eyes widened—Joe Di moved.

His jaw dropped, eyes wide in disbelief at the thunder arcs Joe Di hurled forth…

No, those weren’t mere thunder arcs—they were thunder cascades and an endless barrage of thunderballs.

It wasn’t just Mi Ji who was stunned—Meng Xixi was equally shocked, her breath caught as she watched the spectacle.

Joe Di’s hands danced, weaving endless, enigmatic hand seals. Meng Xixi and Mi Ji could only barely sense that these were supreme divine arts, their power intertwined with elemental law.

With each hand seal Joe Di cast, countless thunder arcs exploded outward. Immortal Beasts below the seventh tier were instantly annihilated, while those above the seventh tier faltered, their strength drained with every strike.

Even the eighth- and ninth-tier Immortal Beasts, though unfazed by the thunder arcs, were battered by the thunder cascades and thunderballs within. Compared to Joe Di’s thunder arts, the earlier lightning arrays seemed like child’s play.

Meng Xixi watched in awe as a ninth-tier Twin-Headed Centipede Immortal Beast had one of its heads blasted off by a single thunderball from Joe Di. The beast shrieked, torn and desperate, and immediately turned to flee.

It wasn’t just Meng Xixi and Mi Ji—everyone sucked in a cold breath, marveling at Joe Di’s overwhelming power.

Then, something even more unbelievable happened—Joe Di abandoned the safety of the defensive array, advancing fearlessly with the Primordial Thunderstone.

Now, the Primordial Thunderstone was enveloped in a dense web of thunder arcs and thunder cascades. Occasionally, clusters of thunderballs would smash into ninth-tier Immortal Beasts.

……

Joe Di was swept up in the terrifying storm of attacks. To onlookers, it seemed as if all the thunderballs and thunder cascades were unleashed by him alone.

Only Joe Di knew the truth—after refining the first natural seal of the Primordial Thunderstone, it was as if he glimpsed a world of thunder. Everywhere, dense thunder law attacks raged. All he needed to do now was to unleash the terrifying thunder attacks stored within the stone.

From clumsy to masterful, Joe Di quickly adapted. With a wave of his hand, the Primordial Thunderstone released endless thunder law attacks, which Joe Di cast out in torrents.

A sudden clarity washed over him. The Primordial Thunder Sigil technique, which he'd once comprehended, grew sharper after refining the stone’s first seal. He had realized the Primordial Thunder Sigil when he first acquired the stone, but its attack power was lacking, so Joe Di rarely used it against true powerhouses.

His strongest moves were the Lawbreaker Slash and Fleeting Rift Slash, techniques born from his mastery of law-based divine arts.

Now, after breaking through the first seal of the Primordial Thunderstone, he saw a vaster world—a sea of thunder—and felt the true might of thunder law attacks.

When the Primordial Thunder Sigil reached a certain level of power, it was not necessarily weaker than the Lawbreaker Slash or Fleeting Rift Slash.

But Joe Di knew it well—his ability to unleash such terrifying thunder attacks was thanks to the Primordial Thunderstone. If it were taken away, his power might drop to a mere fraction of its current strength.

Such opportunities were rare indeed. Joe Di controlled the Primordial Thunderstone, charging out of the defensive array and plunging into the endless tide of beasts.

No matter how many fiend beasts tried to approach, all were blasted apart by the dense thunder cascades. Only a few ninth-tier Immortal Beasts managed to pierce Joe Di’s thunder shield, their blade rays tearing bloody mist from his body.

Joe Di remained fearless. His body was forged by Immortal God Body refinement; as long as his Sea of Consciousness, dantian, and meridians were unharmed, he feared no other wounds.

The wild thunder source within the Primordial Thunderstone kept pouring out, each wave deepening Joe Di’s understanding of thunder. He sensed that, in this place, he would grasp his own unique thunder law attack.

His Primordial Thunder Sigil technique was already formidable—he could split an eighth-tier Immortal Beast with a single thunder sigil. But for Joe Di, that wasn’t enough; his true opponents were the ninth-tier fiend beasts.

Finally, a ninth-tier Void Giant Lizard roared in fury. It surged past countless void beasts, heedless of Joe Di’s thunder cascades, and lunged at him, swinging a massive claw down.

Boom! Seven or eight thunderballs slammed into the Void Giant Lizard, boring holes through its flesh. Yet the beast refused to retreat, determined to perish with Joe Di if necessary, so that he could not continue unleashing those dreadful thunder cascades and thunder arcs.

The entire space froze beneath that colossal claw, the void compressing with a cacophony of cracking sounds.

Suddenly, Joe Di’s eyes snapped open. Even when facing the peak of ninth-tier Immortal Beasts, he showed no fear. His Thunderblade—Tiansuo Dao—fell into his hand, and with a single step out of the Primordial Thunderstone, he unleashed a mighty slash.

In an instant, endless thunder law converged in the void, shrouding the Thunderblade in crackling thunderlight.

The Void Giant Lizard looked up in terror at the sky, sensing the dread of an impending calamity.

No, it wasn’t a thunder tribulation—it was a Thunderblade, a blade forged of thunder itself.

The Thunderblade swept down, carving a thunder rainbow thousands of meters long, its brilliance blinding as it split the void.

After a moment of utter terror, madness flashed in the Void Giant Lizard’s eyes. So what if Joe Di struck him down with the Thunderblade? Today, he was determined to perish together with Joe Di.

The massive claw kept pounding toward Joe Di, heedless of the thousand-meter thunder rainbow slashing in its direction.

Crack! A law that locked the heavens and the void descended. Despair flashed in the lizard’s eyes—he was trapped by the Thunderblade, just as if he were facing a tribulation. Its claw stopped mere inches above Joe Di’s head, unable to move any further.
